I can see only one option, to fuse the titles, but before I get a chance to choose it, three skeleton rats come running down the hallway, hmph! I kill skeleton rats for breakfast, literally, the money I make from skeleton rats have paid for breakfast many times. But this isn’t the time for jokes, I stand up, taking a moment to get used to my new skeleton body, and charge at the rats.
But something was a bit wrong I was moving slow, sluggish even. It’s almost like someone drained my agility… stat…
I quickly glance at my state screen, yep level 1 with 2 agility. I run
I might have killed many skeleton rats before, but that was when all of my stats were in the 20s, but sadly I have two agility, so the skeleton rats were catching up fast, but I have been traveling the first floor for a while, I know this place and if I remember right around this corner is…
I quickly round the corner I was coming up on, just in time to dodge the rat in front, that had leaped at me. And in front of me was a ledge around the hight of my torso. I quickly push myself up the ledge, this would normally be impossible with one strength, but I had no flesh to weigh me down.
After I get to the top, I turn around, crouch and wait for them to come. I’m too slow to outrun them, so I can only hold my ground here. As the first rat climbs to the top of the ledge I punch him back off, just as I do so the second comes, and my second fist comes too. This goes on a few times of me punching undead rats of the cliff. But it seems they realized my one weakness, there were three of them and I only had two fists.
All three of the rats climb at once, I punch two and try to swing one of my fists to deal with the third, but the rat was faster and starts biting my ribs. Luckily for me, skeleton rats are fast, but not strong, it was about halfway through one rib, by the time I grabbed it with my hand. I didn’t notice it earlier since I was just punching there faces, but I couldn’t really ‘grab’ them, it was more like my fingers hooking around they're ribs. I quickly through the rat at the wall away from me, and it seemed pretty hurt, hopefully, enough to ‘bleed out’
What I mean by 'bleed out' is… weIl, i feel the booklet explains it better.
When dealing with most undead the way to kill them is to remove the death mana from them, the death mana being what holds them together. There are three major ways to do this
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
* Drain the death mana out of them: it is recommended if you do this, to not absorb it into yourself, because you may be corrupted or killed by it.
* Injure them badly: if you damage an undead enough, the death mana, that naturally drains from the wound will leave too little death mana in the undead to hold them together, this leftover death mana then condenses into small black beads we call miasma pearls. Side note, death mana drains the most when the head is damaged or destroyed
* Remove their cores: some undead such as bone constructs, have a miasma core in them, remove it and they fall apart, side note miasma cores, are the same as miasma pearls, we refer to them as cores, if they are used to power an undead.
There are some exceptions to this such as vampires, that do not require death mana to survive.
So to sum it up bash them hard, and they fall apart. And quickly the battle starts to fall in my favor as I kill one of them, and I am able to focus more on the offensive.
After they are dead almost on impulse I start to pick up the pearls. But when I grab one a screen pops up.
Do you wish to absorb miasma pearl?

The booklet said “Drain the death mana out of them: it is recommended if you do this, to not absorb it into yourself, because you may be corrupted or killed by it”
But that applies to living beings, and I am not. so this can’t really be that bad for me. So I select yes

The effect was an increase in max death mana, which is helpful in my current situation, I quickly absorb the other two miasma pearls, before heading back to my stuff. Speaking of my stuff, how did my stuff get off me? Sitting in a pile next to me was everything I had on me, including my clothes, so why were my clothes, that was on me, on the floor now. But I should at least take stock. First are my underclothes, that I then proceeded to put on, to cover my bones. They were a little big on my bones because they were meant to be worn with flesh, but I can deal with this, next was my armor, which I deal with the same as my clothes. Next was my backpack, it had a few snacks for when I got hungry, a flash rod {aka flash light}, a rope, and a map of the first floor. I also had a cloak in case it got cold, And lastly was my sword and its sheath. Which I strap on, a few holes tighter than before my death.
*BOOM!!*
Suddenly a wave of yellowish-gold swept out of him at the same time a similar wave of black came out of him, they swirled around him and all he could think before passing out was…
oh, I forgot about the timer...
