Vomit.
Waking up in vomit was what brought him back to life. Under his nose, with a strong sense of dizziness, he couldn't help but feel disgusted at having vomited on himself.
His vision was starting to blur. Possibly much more than he expected. But he could see clearly who was around him.
"Woof."
"Woof."
"Woof."
They were all barking. Some more than others. Beautiful Shiba Inu puppies, a Japanese dog breed that Tenma knew very well. Mysteriously, he found himself very close to them.
He tried to stand up to start, confused about everything that had happened.
Supposedly he was with a beautiful woman, then he saw the cataclysm of paradise, and now he had woken up feeling sick.
Whatever was happening, it kept giving him one shock after another. He just wanted to lean back and think.
"Woof!"
He couldn't help but fall to the ground again, falling back into his vomit. He had no strength. He didn't feel the strength to do anything at all.

In a moment of silence, Tenma started to think. Where had he ended up? Where was he?
He turned his head to one side, and saw the puppies heading towards him, barking and jumping over him.
That's when he realized his small body. His soft paws that felt pleasant as they touched the puppies' fur, and his snout that slightly obstructed his view.
He had become a puppy. A Shiba Inu puppy.
He remained pensive as the other puppies continued to flutter around him.
He looked at his paws. He spun on the surface and stood up again. He tried to stand up again, and fell.
He had definitely become a dog now.
What was going on? What punishment was this?
Or maybe not. He didn't doubt that he had once wished to be a dog and have the comforts of one.
...
But he couldn't go back to his old life like this! (If he could even have it back).
He rested his snout on the wall, noticing that he was in a glass cubicle with the other puppies. His siblings, perhaps.
That's when he noticed the impressive part. Not only were they there, but many more species were in cages or confined in cubicles. But they seemed happy, or at least calm.
He could observe a little more. An old lady behind a counter, dog food in sacks, collars, and a door opening at that moment.
Tenma froze, watching a group of people enter the place. People dressed differently, some in suits and others in more modest clothes of a strange medieval fashion.
There were humans, and the mere idea of being able to ask for an explanation or some help made him bark at them.
That's when a girl from the group, in a suit, beautiful eyes, and red hair turned around upon hearing him bark.
"Excuse me, I think I found what I was looking for. I'll adopt that one."
................Huh?
For a few seconds, dazed, he remained cloudy. As he turned his head in all directions, he finally understood.
Was he being adopted in a pet store?!"
