As Lada is crying near the river, everyone passing by staring at her, some even whispering “she’s ruining the evening for everyone.” Or “she needs to tone it down.” But she has her head in her hands too deep to hear, a passer-by decides to come to her.
A silk thread brushes against Lada’s back, when she looks over to who it belongs to, she sees a woman, around as tall as her with short crimson red hair, and greenish blue eyes that are the definition of soulless, there’s no pupils at all, just shades of colour, with a smile that can only be described as eerie, almost in a sadistic way, like she’s enjoying her crying. The woman is standing with her hands together, looking over Lada, her expression is entirely devoted of emotion expect for her eerie smile. She’s dressed in a steampunk like outfit with a shirt buttoned to max, neat pants with a belt, a neck corset, gloves, a swan hat and a short jacket over her fit with hourglasses and clocks all around her.
“Who the hell is this woman? She seems straight out of a ghost story.” Lada says to herself, waiting for the woman to introduce herself.
The woman sits down next to Lada, Lada looks uncomfortable while the woman just puts her knees over to her chest and puts her head in front of her knees, turning it to face Lada with her same eerie feeling that can make a rock uncomfortable.
“Greetings fair lady, may I ask what’s bringing you to tears today?” The woman said, her voice is a little deep yet mesmerising to hear.
“Is.. that’s none of her business!” Lada said to herself as she wipes her tears , the woman kept the same expression, watching Lada’s every action.
“I am fine!! Even if I wasn’t you don’t have a right to get involved.” Lada said, she’s trying to make the woman go away but she just keeps the exact same, her silk threads staying around her shoulder.
“You don’t seem fine, you were crying just now. Is wiping your tears refusing to admit vulnerability or an immediate response so I can go away because you feel uncomfortable? Perhaps both.” The woman said, how?! How does she know exactly everything??
“That woman… she can’t be human, it’s just not possible.” Lada said to herself as she gets up, nervous and shaking a little, trying to look away from the woman’s arm, before she can walk away she feels the woman’s hand on her wrist.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“Sit.” The woman said, in a demanding way, when Lada turns to face her, she has the exact same eerie expression that could still make a rock uncomfortable.
Lada immediately gets scared and tries to let go but the woman’s grip is too tight, it’s like she has no other choice.
“This isn’t good.. she’s obvious danger..” Lada says to herself, “don’t worry, I am no danger. I just want to help you, that’s all.” The woman says, her voice still the exact same tone, wait.. did she somehow hear Lada’s inner thoughts or is she that good at telling people’s feelings? Oh this is bad..
When Lada turns to face her, she still has that same eerie smile, now with her hand on her chest, she lets go of Lada’s hand, which had obvious red marks from how tight her grip was. “How about I help you settle things with whoever hurt you, if it’s not that easy you can book an appointment at my office. It’s on me.” The woman said, how did she even know what Lada’s situation was? Lada was basically shivering at this point. “Ho… how did you know I argued with someone…?” Lada said, as she clutched her chest, was this woman a stalker? “I heard you say “he was lying” over and over again.” The woman said, that makes sense.. but Lada was still scared.
Before Lada could say another word, Ibrahim and míngxīng approached, they slightly tensed up when seeing the woman, her eerie smile, a mix of sadistic enjoyment yet creepily and forcefully warm and welcoming, “this woman.. who is she and most importantly, is she enjoying this?” Ibrahim said to himself while míngxīng just stared at everyone, clearly scared of everyone here besides Ibrahim.
The two approached Lada and the woman, Lada immediately turned her head in frustration. “Leave, I don’t wanna talk to you.” Lada said.
“Seriously? You do realise how childish that’s?” Ibrahim said, clearly angry at her response, the woman just laughed and went back to her eerie smile, her laugh echoed in everyone’s ear. “Let’s settle things like adults, refusing to talk isn’t gonna fix anything.” The woman said before inviting them over to have a session with her. “You can drop by my office to settle things professionally, this one is on me.” Oh.. she was a psychologist.. a one who knew how to make people uncomfortable nonetheless.
Ibrahim thought about it for a moment, “the benefits are we might resolve things, negatives it would create subtle tension..” he was weighing the pros and cons in his head, while Lada just turned to look at him. “I am fine… but this will surely fix things?” She said to herself, the woman looked at the two ans took it as a yes.
“Cmon, follow me, it’s very close.” The woman said, her eerie smile giving you no option to say no, it’s like she scares you so much to the point it unconsciously makes you never able to say no.
