"What about this bridge?" The cheerful voice asked Rio.
Rio noticed how busy this road was–which always passed by vehicles from both directions. He then examines it thoroughly as much as he can by walking around the river bank and seeing the bridge's structure with his bare eyes.
The second main bridge in Tantoris is located on the city's southern side. It serves to connect the two areas, which the Major River separates. It goes without saying that this construction is vital enough to meet Rio's requirements.
"This bridge definitely fit the criteria. However, it would be wise if we go around more to get more view," commented Rio.
"I understand! How about we go to City Station next because there's only one train station in this city?"
"Good advice. Let's go, Vemia."
The two of them quickly got back on the motorbike as Rio steered it, heading south, the city's outskirts.
They arrived at a building with a distinct architectural model in less than fifteen minutes compared to other surrounding structures. Rio quickly remembers that the architectural design for the Tantoris' City Station was not being renovated to preserve historical values unless some parts of the buildings were broken.
"Nevertheless, this building remains solid because it has been revitalized many times without really changing its basic model, hmm," Rio muttered.
"Wanna take a look inside?" Vemia suggested.
"Ah, sure. I think we really need to look at the interior."
The little girl nods and runs first, with Rio following behind. Previously, Rio saw the overall design of this station from the three-dimensional display of the communication ring. However, this is Rio's first visiting the place in person. The bustle of people passing by and trains stopping for a moment to wait for the schedule is enough to grab his attention.
Then, a loud sound made Rio cover his ears before one of the iron carriages departed towards its destination.
"The sensation is really different compared to when I see it on the projection," said Rio.
"Hmm? Is the rain station at the future look really different compared to this one?" Vemia suddenly appeared beside her brother.
"Hah—oh, Vemia. You almost make my heart stop," Rio worried if his mumbling was heard by those who didn't need to know, "of course. The design and technology that we use is far different compared to this station. However, the basics are still the same. People are waiting on the platform for the trains and getting abroad to travel."
"I wonder what it looks like! You have the record of it?"
"I'll show you when we get home."
Vemia is jumping in joy. Rio chuckles, seeing how his sister behaves.
"Rio, let's go the Tower Café next, please?" asked Vemia.
Rio raised his eyebrows. "Little sister, the tower only serves as entertainment for the residents and it is hardly can be considered vital. So—"
"Come on! Come on, come on!" Vemia sulked, embracing her brother's arm, and had no intention of letting go.
Rio had no other choice and agreed to his sister's invitation. The sun is on top of their heads now, and perhaps Vemia's stomach has been growling for a while. It's an ideal time to take a break.
The motorbike takes them from the southern side to the city's eastern side for roughly twenty minutes. It's not too crowded on the road this weekend because Tantoris is not big enough. So Rio can ride his motorbike freely.
When they arrived at the top floor using the tower elevator, the café was quite busy as far as Rio could see. Most of the tables also have been occupied. They got a little late.
"It's really crowded. But, I'll find an empty table."
Before Rio could react, Vemia had sped off already to look around. He laughed wryly and joined in, looking for a table they could use.

"Vemia, I've found a place for the two of us. Come here!" said Rio, waving his hand so his younger sister could stop looking.
In short, they take a seat in the corner of the room because there's no other choice. Rio couldn't see the view of the city from above in that position and silently complained. However, Vemia is so excited to see some stuff Rio has ordered. A full-course meal accompanied by a few snacks is enough to make her eyes sparkle.
"Vemia is really hungry, huh?" Rio is amazed at how his sister almost quickly swallows everything in front of her.
"It's lunch time, brother. Are you not hungry?"
"Of course I'm hungry."
"Then, let's dig in!"
Vemia continues to enjoy the dish along with other snacks on the table. Rio smiled and joined in enjoying his lunch while having a light chat with his sister.
I think we've reviewed some of the vital facilities for the town. And yet, somehow, I can't really decide, he thoughts as he chews on the food.
When Vemia was nearly finished, roughly an hour later, some guests of this café had left. Thus, Rio can see the surrounding scenery now, free of obstacles. Still, his table is not ideal for eating while enjoying the panorama.
"What's wrong, Rio?"
"Perhaps it's because we can see a helicopter-view of this town so this place is often got crowdy. Too bad that the only table we've got in this corner. We barely can enjoy the sight while eat."
Vemia chuckled. "I know that it feels like something is missing. We barely see anything."
"Maybe next time."
"No. We can see it now. You're done eating, right? Come on, big brother!"
Like a squirrel that couldn't stay in its nest, Vemia jumps and rushes to the cafe's terrace. Sometimes Rio wonders where his little sister got that much energy from. However, since they had filled his stomach, he followed his sister.
Arriving at the terrace, Rio can immediately see the view from above. Vemia seemed to enjoy seeing almost the entire city from this place.
"Woah, this is amazing. Maybe if I often visit this place, I still can't get used to how cool this view is," said the hyping little girl.
"Oh ya? I thought that since you lives in this city, you will visit here often."
"No, I cannot. This place is not a place that student can frequent visit to, Rio," the little girl smirked.
"Haha, I understand."
While the sun was tilting slightly to the west, they enjoyed the atmosphere a bit longer before Rio took Vemia back for a city tour. Until that moment, his sister stopped him from leaving.
"Rio. Instead of going around again, how about we just go there?" Vemia pointing somewhere.
The destination is the city dam, which is visible from this tower.
Seeing Vemia's suggestion, Rio smiled and gently stroked his sister's head. "You really have a talent for finding something, huh? Alright, let's go there."
"Hehe thanks!"
The two of them immediately raced towards the northern end of Tantoris. It takes about fifteen minutes of travel plus half an hour by cable car to get to the top of the dam.
Once the two of them reached the top, the sunlight was warmer. Perhaps, an ideal time to check the place while not feeling too hot. The sound of water falling from the concrete wall that flows through the Major River greets Rio when he ganders around.
"Let me guess. This is also Rio's first time visiting the city dam."
"Good guess. Turns out there are still some places in the city I've never been to before. I should have made a thorough tour around while I was still in this period."
"Then Vemia will be your guide since I've been here before."
Vemia went first while calling out to her brother, who was behind. This dam is just a reasonably wide water barrier without any other purpose besides generating electricity when they see around. The giant walls contain roughly 15.5 cubic kilometers of water, and the other area of the dam is limited to the dam's staff.
The bright color of the water that reflects the color of the sky combined with a green mountain that almost looks like a carpet stunned Rio.
"This place is a type of dam that utilizes hydropower inside its walls. Thanks to this dam, Tantoris has become an important city that can supply electrical energy to other places," said Rio to remember.
"I don't really remember, but you may be right," said little Vemia.
"Still, it's pretty quiet, huh. The view is pretty good so though there is a lot of tourists here."
Vemia shrugs. "I don't know. I never heard my friends talk about this place as one of their destinations to see when the holiday comes. I think I know the reason. All we can see here is the dam management office complex, boring."
"The said office is above on this hill, isn't it?" Rio asked while pointing to the building that could be seen from their position.
"You're right."
Rio got his own thought about this place. Geographically, the position of the dam being built right around the mountains–which are pretty far from settlements–is not very good. The construction of this building must always be maintained periodically because if there is a leak and water overflows through the slopes of these mountains, Tantoris will be severely damaged.
So, suppose you implement genetically engineered plants to strengthen this dam. In that case, I think it can reduce the maintenance cost because it'll automatically enhance its structure.
"How?"
"It's decided. I will use this dam for my proposal. Thank you, Vemia. Because of you, I can continue my idea."
"Glad that I can help!" Vemia smiled widely.
"Rio?"
They both turned to the origin of the voice. A girl wearing an ice cream hairpin and a small child beside her greets Rio and Vemia.
"We meet again."
"Eh, Arisa?"
