Chapter 5 Do You Mind Answering

"Drop, everything off quickly, we have somewhere to go," she said from her car window in the parking lot of the condo.

"Where?" I stood in front of the car window with everything in my hands.

"Oh, to tour the place," she exaggerated with a serious face.

"Fine," I groaned, rolling my eyes.

I turned to the condo and went up.

After I put everything inside I went back down and got in the car.

"What took you so long?" she asked, turning her phone off.

Was she talking to someone?

"What are you talking about? I only took thirty minutes," I was impressed at how pathetic her question was.

"Only thirty minutes," she imitated in the worst way possible as she reversed the car.

"Seriously, where are we going?" she started to drive towards the freeway.

Her left hand griping hard on the steering wheel just like it did the last time.

"Here, put the address recently searched on gps," she handed me her phone while her eyes were set on the road.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

I looked at the gps and tapped the recently searched to see a house address at the top.

Then a message appeared.

Ms. Rain snatched the phone off of my hands and looked at it like she was expecting it.

The only thing I saw was that it was sent by someone named Tsundere.

Could he be another Feather?

The name didn't sound familiar.

She put the location herself and put her phone in the front to see where she was going.

"Was that your friend?" I looked out the window.

"Are questions the only thing that comes out of your mouth?" her voice turned cold.

"Why are you trying so hard to hide things from me?" I looked straight at her.

"He's my brother, if you want to know that badly," she answered as if I made a big deal.

I leaned back lost for words.

"You have a brother?"

"You?"

"Why the shock?" her eyebrows furrowed as she exited.

"Older or younger?" I tried to hold my laugh in.

"Why?" she wrinkled her nose in disgust of my excitement.

"You can't just stop there," I turned to her with an uncontrollable smile.

"What about you?"

"You have any family?" she avoided eye contact with me as she turned the car.

"Ah, I'm an only child," I answered as I backed down.

"I've always wanted a little brother, though," I started looking out again.

We stopped talking, like she didn't know how to respond to that.

"Older," she muttered trying to distract herself by looking at the road.

"What?" my eyes widened in disbelief.

"We're here," she answered as she pulled into the driveway.

The house looked something straight out of a horror movie.

"You have got to be kidding me," I opened the car door and looked up for a closer look.

"You signed up for the job, there's no backing out now," she smiled as she started walking in.

"Oh and I left a gun for you in the trunk, you'll need it," she turned back and threw her car key to me.

I caught it in the spare moment and watched her leave, if it hadn't been for the countless amount of times I was challenged in baseball that key would have ended up in the mud.

"Why you-," I paused close to throwing the key at her.
