The school lunch bell rings. Angelina and Zen walk out of the classroom together. The teacher asks Zen to get something, so he tells Angelina he’ll meet her on the roof.

Angelina starts walking down the hall.

Zen’s brother Zaph approaches Angelina. Zaph has medium length black hair with side bangs that cover his right eye.

“Hey… I heard you became friends with Zen. I’m his brother, Zaph.” Zaph said.

“Oh cool.” Angelina said.

He comes close and looks into her eyes intensely. His eyes started glowing.

“Woh! Your eyes are glowing! How do you do that?” Angelina said.

His eyes stop glowing.

“Huh? Why didn’t it work?” Zaph wondered.

“What?”

“My enchantment.”

“Enchantment?”

“Just kidding. See you.” He says playfully.

He leaves.

Angelina and Zen meet at the roof to have lunch together again. They sit together in the same spot and begin to chat while eating candy.

“What is your favourite colour?” Angelina asked.

“Blue.” Zen asked.

“I like purple “

“Do you have a dream?”

“… no.”

“Really? Nothing? No career goal or anything?”

“No.”

“I see.”

“What about you?”

“Maybe to marry my true love and become a princess. Just kidding. I know that’s impossible, but I like to imagine. I would need a miracle for that to come true… haha.”

“Haha, you’re like a kid.”

They told me angels are not allowed to marry and must dedicate their life to serving God and helping humans. That’s alright, I guess… I mean I get to use magic which is super cool. I was happy just observing romance through manga, manhwa, and video games after all. That reminds me, I wonder who the heroine will end up with.

School ends and Zen goes home. Him and his brothers Zaph and Kiel gather in the living room.

“Somethings up with Angelina. My enchantment magic didn’t work on her.” Zaph said.

“You’re now realizing that? I knew since she stepped foot in the classroom. Her energy isn’t like a normal human. It’s human but slightly different and I’m not sure why. That’s why I’m investigating her.” Zen said.

“Ohh so that’s why you became friends with her! I knew it was too good to be true for you to actually have a real friend.” Zaph said mockingly.

“Shut up.” Zen said.

“Whatever I’m going to sleep.” Kiel said.

“Me too.” Zen said.

The next day at school.

Angelina is sitting in class.

Are Zen and the others really demons I’m here to investigate? I mean, they haven’t really done anything super bad yet, am I just supposed to observe them? It is a bit weird that demons are going to a high school for humans. Why are they attending this school again? I don’t think the otome game really mentioned it. All they really did was get with the heroine if you chose their route. Maybe something happened that wasn’t shown in the game, I guess I’ll just have to observe.

“See you tomorrow.” Zen said.

“See you!” Angelina replied.

Ah… I forgot my math book. I need to go back and get it.

Angelina is walking down the hall when she hears a lovely piano melody coming from the music room. She stops and listens by the door for a minute. Suddenly the door opens.

“Oh.” Kiel said slightly surprised.

“Were you playing that? You’re really good at the piano!”

“Thanks.” Kiel said while slightly smiling.

“I just came back because I forgot my book, I’m going to get it now, see you!”

“Bye.”

Angelina grabs her book then walks outside to head home but gets stopped by a few female classmates.

“Hey.”

“Hi.” Angelina replied.

“What are you trying to do?”

“What?”

“You just got here and you already have the attention of the best-looking guys in school. They hardly look at anyone let alone talk to other students.”

“Uhh… okay?”

“I have my eye on Kiel. We all saw you flirting with him earlier. Are you trying to get with all of them?” The girl pushes Angelina down onto the ground.

Ugh how annoying. A bunch of side character bullies. I can’t hurt humans though, so I’ll just try to ignore this and move on.

“What are you doing?” Zen asked.

“Zen?! We were just talking. What’s up?” The girl said.

Zen grabs Angelina and runs away.

“Wow. You’re like a prince.” Angelina said jokingly.

Zen slowed down and started walking.

“I’ll walk you home.”

“Okay.”

…

“This is where you live?”

“Yeah.”

So this is where she lives. Zen thought.

“Will you be on the game later tonight?”

“Yeah at around 7 we can play.”

“Cool, see you later then.”

He’s a good friend. I feel like I can rely on him.

The next day at school.

“You look pretty today.” Zaph said to Angelina.

“Thank you.” She said while smiling.

Zen stares menacingly at Zaph.

Everyone sits at their desks.

“Today we will be welcoming a new student! Her name is Rosalina.” The teacher said.

It’s the heroine!

“Class will begin soon so get your books out and ready. I have to make a quick run to the staff room so I will be back in a few minutes.”

A student named Daniel makes his way over to Rosalina’s desk.

“Can I see that cross necklace around your neck?”

“No, this is—”

He starts pulling the necklace off her neck. Angelina stands up. She watches him intently and closely.

What the heck… this guy has a weird dark aura around him. Maybe he’s…

“In nómine Pátris, et Fílii, et Spirítus Sancti. Amen.” Angelina muttered.

Daniel stops pulling the necklace and looks in Angelina’s direction. He walks over to her.

“What did you just say?”

“Exorcizámos te, ómnis immúnde spíritus, ómnis satánic potéstas, ómnis infernális adversárii…”

Daniel starts choking Angelina. Angelina touches his forehead with her index finger. He let’s go and becomes disoriented.

“…ómnis légio, ómnis congregátio et sécta diabólica…”

A demon spirit flies out of Daniel. Daniel seems dazed and looks around the room. Tears flow from his eyes.

“...”

The teacher comes back, and everyone goes to sit at their desk.

I can’t ignore a human in pain and suffering from a demonic possession. That was my first time using my power as an angel to do actual angel stuff. I did God’s work hehe.

Zen and Zaph look at Angelina suspiciously while she’s spacing out about her first successful exorcism.

After class Rosalina walks up to Angelina.

“That was amazing, what you did earlier. I thought only priests could perform exorcisms, but you did it…” Rosalina said in a soft and gentle voice.

“Yeah… haha.”

Daniel walks over to Rosalina.

“Um… I’m really sorry about what happened earlier.” Daniel said.

“It’s fine. I know that wasn’t you. I hope we can get along as classmates from now on.” Rosalina said.

“Yes! I hope so too!” Daniel said.

…

Lunch time began and Angelina and Zen are walking up the stairs.

“I’ve never seen anything like that before. Are you a priestess or something?”

“Haha… no way. What’s next, are you going to ask me if I’m a mage? A sorcerer?”

“Haha…”

Suddenly a student bumps into Zen on the stairs and he falls back. Angelina grabs his hand, saving him from falling backwards onto the stairs. Zen looks up at her with his eyes wide open.

“Woh… you nearly fell down the stairs! You could’ve gotten seriously hurt falling back like that.”

“Yeah…” Zen said.

Angelina smiled at him.

I can’t tell him that I’m an angel…
