Angelina wakes up laying in a bed at his mansion with everyone around her. She is wearing a white nightgown. It has long sleeves with sheer chiffon at the cuffs. The neckline is v-shaped and has a lace trim along it. The fabric is very soft and flowy.
“She's up!” Levi said while pointing at her.
Zen and Zaph looked at her.
“How are you feeling?” Zen asked.
“I'm feeling okay…”
Angelina sat up quickly.
“Someone I don’t know showed up in my room. He made me inhale some sort of poison mist then he tied me in chains and set my room on fire.”
“He tied you in chains too?” Zen asked.
“Yes but the Holy Sword appeared and cut me out of it.”
“The Holy Sword. You have it?” Levi asked.
“I don't have it. It just appeared on its own.”
“The Holy Sword can move on its own to save its owner.” Zen said.
“So she's the owner it chose?” Zaph asked.
“It seems that way.” Zen said.
“But I don't know how to summon it or anything.”
“Try thinking about it with intent.” Zen said.
Angelina closes her eyes and thinks. The sword appears in front of her. She opens her eyes.
“Oh! It's here.” Angelina said.
The sword angles itself in the air slowly pointed to each of the guys.
“Is it just me or does that sword want to kill us?” Zaph said.
“Probably. That's what it was made for after all.” Zen said.
What did that man mean by Nephilim? What plan? Angelina thought.
Angelina looks distressed.
“What's wrong?” Zen asked.
“My room is probably completely destroyed. Ah, my gaming consoles, my clothes, all my stuff...”
“Why don't you live here? We have extra unused rooms anyway.” Zaph said.
“That person was targeting you for some reason. It would be safer if you stay here.” Zen said.
“I can't stay here…” Angelina said.
“Why not? You can stay here for rest of the school year to make things easier.” Zen said.
“Um… okay then… temporarily…” Angelina said.
Zen looks at Zaph and Levi.
“Can you guys go now? I want to talk to her.” Zen said.
“So cold~ we're concerned about her too you know.” Zaph said.
They leave.
...
“Oh right. Thank you for saving me. You were like a prince~ I'm so happy to have you as my friend.” Angelina said.
Zen sits on the bed beside Angelina.
“You saw it right?” Zen said.
“What?” Angelina said.
“My wings.” Zen said.
“Oh yes. You looked really cool!” Angelina said.
Zen looks at her like with his eyes wide open and surprised.
“Cool? You weren't scared?” Zen asked.
“Not really.” Angelina said.
“I'm a demon.” Zen said.
“Wow~” Angelina said.
“Do you still want to be friends with me?” Zen asked.
“Of course.” Angelina said.
“It's dangerous to be friends with a demon though.” Zen said.
“You saved me from danger though.” Angelina smiled.
Zen looks down.
“You are a reliable friend to me. I'm happy I met you. I will protect you too.” Angelina said.
There is a knock on the door. A female servant walks in holding a new school uniform.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
“I brought the uniform for her.”
She puts it on the bed then leaves quietly.
“I got you a new school uniform since yours got damaged in the fire.” Zen said.
Angelina moved the covers from her and leaned forward close to Zen.
“I will pay you back for helping me. Let me know if there's anything you want.” Angelina said.
Zen looks at her face then looks away. He gets up from the bed and starts walking.
“I'll leave so you can rest more.” Zen said.
“Wait!” Angelina said.
Angelina grabs his hand.
“Don't go.” Angelina said.
Hearing her voice say that made Zen feel something in his chest. He turns around to face her.
“Can you braid my hair?” Angelina said while smiling.
"Huh?" Zen said with a confused tone.
Angelina sits on the edge of the bed. Zen sits on the bed beside her and brushes her hair gently.
This feels nice.
Zen braids her hair and ties the end with a red ribbon bow. Angelina feels the braid with her hands.
“Wow it's so neat. Thank you.” Angelina said.
It feels like how my mom would braid my hair. Whenever I try to braid my hair on my own it looks sloppy. Angelina thought.
“Well, I'll go now.” Zen said.
He starts walking.
“Wait!” Angelina said.
Zen turns around.
“Can you keep me company for a while?” Angelina said.
They lay underneath the covers and play games on Angelina's phone. Zen starts getting mad at a game. Angelina laughs.
“It's funny when you rage.”
Zen looks at her laughing face lovingly, unaware of his own expression. He gives her phone back to her.
“Let's have a staring contest.” Angelina said.
Zen changes his expression. His face goes blank.
“Whoever blinks first loses.” Angelina said.
They stare at each other for a while. Zen looks completely unfazed, just naturally keeping his eyes opened and staring at her. Angelina's eyes start to get watery as she tries to keep them open. Tears start to accumulate and she finally blinks. Tears run down her eyes.
“You win.” Angelina said.
Zen looks at her teary eyed face lovingly.
“How did you keep your eyes open so long? I usually win at staring contests. My eyes are tired now. I think I'll sleep…”
Angelina closes her eyes.
She's going to sleep while I'm here? She trusts me that much? Did she forget that I'm a demon? Zen thought.
Zen caresses her hair with his fingers. He looks at her curiously.
They both fall asleep.
It's the morning. Angelina is laying on her back with her left arm resting above her head. Zen is laying on his left side facing Angelina with his right arm resting over her belly.
They wake up for school. Zen goes into his room to get ready. Angelina gets out of bed and gets ready in her room. She looks into the mirror with her uniform on. She starts undoing her now messy braid. Her hair has gotten wavy. She decides to go to school with her wavy hair down.
“Did you style your hair? It looks good!” Rosalina said.
“Thank you. Actually, Zen did it.” Angelina smiled.
"Oh, I see." Rosalina put her hand by her chin and smiled gently.
"Are you going to the church after school?" Angelina asked.
"Yes, why?" Rosalina said.
"I want to go too, how about we go together?" Angelina said.
"Sure!" Rosalina said.
At the church, Angelina looks for Kiel. He's not at his usual spot. She walks around the premises for a minute then stops to take a break. She nears a noise from above and looks up. She sees Kiel on the roof of the church. After making sure no one is around, she turns into an angel and uses her wings to fly up.
"Kiel!" Angelina said.
"Oh, Angelina." Kiel said.
Kiel is holding a black sniper rifle.
"Are you trying to trickshot off the roof?" Angelina laughed.
"Oh this? I'm using this now for extra security. Something terrible happened the other day! Two demons got into the church and stole the Holy Sword. I had a hard time trying to stop them. So now I'm being extra cautious." Kiel said.
"I see. Actually, I have the Holy Sword with me." Angelina said.
"Thank goodness!" Kiel said.
"It seems to follow me around. I tried to put it back but it just disappears and stays with me." Angelina said.
"It has chosen you as its owner for now then." Kiel said.
"I will take care of it then. By the way, how come demons don't notice I'm an angel?" Angelina asked.
"That's because your power level is quite low. Your aura and vibration is different. You are originally human, so that residual energy still lingers within you. To most, you pass as a real human in your human form. I, and other angels, could pass as a human to humans, but not so much to a demon." Kiel said.
I see... That might be why I was assigned to this mission then.
Angelina returns to Zen's house. A servant opens the front door for her. She walks into the living room. Zen, Zaph, Levi, and Seph are there.
“Angelina! I got you a welcoming gift!" Zaph said.
Zaph places the gift bag in Angelina's hands before she can say anything. She sits down on the sofa and opens it. It is a pair of cross strap high heel shoes. It is black and the heel is 5 inches high.
"Try it on!" Zaph said excitedly.
"Ok..." Angelina said.
This heel is really high.
She puts it on and walks towards Zen. She stands closely beside him. She puts her hands on his shoulders.
"Look, now I'm above you." Angelina said jokingly.
She puts her face close to Zen's and smirks while slightly looking down to him.
"Hahaha, you're taller than him in those shoes." Levi said.
Zaph snickers.
Zen frowns. He crouches to the ground at Angelina's feet and begins taking off her shoes. As he pulls it off her foot she falls to the ground onto her back.
"Ow!" Angelina said.
He quickly removes both shoes from her feet and throws it into the lit fireplace.
"Those were expensive~" Zaph said.
It's the night time. Angelina lays in bed and thinks about what the man said to her again.
Nephilim...
She grabs her phone from the nightstand and searches up "Nephilim".
Nephilim, the offspring of humans and demons. Mythical hybrid beings from a forbidden union... said to be extremely tall and strong. They set out to destroy and replace humans.
Angelina thinks.
This... would be Rosalina's children at the ending of the game. They would be Nephilim.
Downstairs, Zen, Zaph, Seph, and Levi are in the living room.
"Is it really okay for that human to know we're demons?" Levi said.
"She already knew demons existed anyway. She's one of those believers." Zaph said.
"Oh I see..." Levi chuckles.
"Interesting..." Seph smirks.
