When I arrived at the coast, beaches with torn cliffs were on display.
The sand looked fine, white and lined with palm and coconut trees.
The land was a lush and impenetrable jungle. I flew over the coast and saw no human constructions. Under me, migratory birds, thousands of different species and then I arrived in a delta and the spectacular sight.
Everything was beautiful. It was full of life.
Antelopes were drinking, zebras were running on the beaches and steppes here and there between the dense jungle areas. Thousands of flamingos flew by the thousands and all this wild and virgin fauna coloured this virgin world.
Then I saw a small village in the marshes, it looks like a fishing village. I got a little closer and saw that these people were big lizards. Lizard men? It could be fun!
I went around to look around but a warning horn was sounded.
So I moved inland so as not to frighten them and continued my inspection. A road led to the village but crossed endless swamps.
But I wanted to find a cave to rest in and I walked along the cliffs along the delta river and there I saw a beautiful crevice, a very high cave with lush vegetation and whose walls were covered with ivy and climbing plants. Inside there were beautiful blue macaws looking at me fearfully to know if I was going to eat them or not.
I told them: "Don't be afraid! Tell me where there are good fruits and vegetables and you won't have anything to worry about from me. "
The male, fearing for his offspring, invited me to follow him and showed me an area full of fruit and roots of sugar cane, manioc and coconuts.
I filled up and filled my bag with fruit and went back to the cave.
I found dead wood and dried it for the damp wood and more inside, it was dry.
I then dug my fire pit, scraped alcoves to store the fruit against rodents and began to enjoy tasty fruit.
After packing my things, I took a well-deserved nap after putting my protection on the lair. But not a deadly trigger, just an alarm.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
For once, a dream without brutality..... Waves, the sound of the sea, seagulls.....
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Chirp! Chirp!
Ah, the sound of sparrows....
That's reassuring. When they sing, it's because there's no danger.
Then I put away my armor and things and, as a precaution, I hid them behind heavy stones in front of the alcoves. A reflex...
I took some fruit in my mouth to get good breath and chewed sugar cane. Mmmmh how good it is.
I took a bag and decided to try the local fish.
Like a crocodile, I let myself be swallowed up in the river/lake where there was a weak current and the temperature was extra high.
I swam and relaxed, for the first time without stress.
The animals ignored me and it was fine.
I felt the forces of nature for the first time. A feeling of healing began to heal my psychological wounds.
A feeling of freedom, and especially innocence.
The sky was the roof of my house.
I used to calm down and enjoy taking naps in the sun on a rock by the water.
Or wallow in the water with just the head sticking out and the little fish cleaning my scales, especially on my back.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
One day, birds landed on my back and I loved it when they pecked my scales or when waders walked on me, it seemed like a massage...
The sound of nature permeated me. I was part of a big whole. I felt it and my scales began to ring, to make crystalline noise. I loved it!
Like little musical needles.
When I tapped sounds came out like a xylophone!
I loved my body now.
I was proud of myself and who I am.
And my scales all vibrated like a bird shaking its feathers, I had my scales ringing
This generated a kind of pleasant melody.
The singing of birds, the sounds of the jungle and my noise formed a subtle musical cycle.
I felt like an assimilation of the region, as if the jungle welcomed me.
The last spikes of anguish started very slowly and I was getting more and more imbued with my new life as a dragon. My humanity becoming like almost an old nightmare.
Then one morning, I started whistling and singing.
I started singing like the birds, to celebrate the sunrise. Of course, I sang classical hymns like Mozart, Vivaldi and the four seasons in my own way and then gradually created my melodies according to the cycles of nature, the movements of migrating animals and to my amazement, the birds sang and I understood what they were saying, They sang for their ancestors, the first archaeopteryx, they regretted their teeth and claws in sadder songs and wept gracefully for their disappeared and I too began to sing the same, telling my misadventures in song. The birds responded and the jungle was transformed into a concert. I avoided hurting the birds, they talked to me and talked to me sometimes.
I wasn't going to eat my friends.
Moreover, when a lizard man came to explore the area, the whole area knew about it!
We had time to leave.
The leopards that smelled me had left the area and the birds were grateful to me.
No more predators for them thanks to me and they had all become my friends.
The red and blue macaws were great! They would find for me the vegetables and fruits they couldn't break and we would help each other like that.
I felt like a big pokemon.
I made a trap but one day I saw that it had been moved.
I asked the birds and said to myself: lizard men!, rangers!
A month passed and the fish were juicy, especially cooked with fruit.
But something was missing, the salt. And cooking without salt is disgusting.
I used to cook, my flesh raw and bloody, it passed but it made me sick!
What if I go ask the village to trade salt?
I went to the road and turned into a 7-year-old child.
Here, I haven't grown or aged! Because I always stay in a dragon all the time. Weird! Weird!
I walked along the road, dressed in black again and heard laughter behind a row of trees, there was the river and a small lake with a waterfall. And I saw human children and lizards playing in the water.
An adult was watching them but she had a long white scaly tail with tattoos on it. A woman man-lizard! She wore a hat like the nuns.
I watched the children play and they were my age and under.
Then a girl saw me and shouted: Look, another child!
The woman got up and looked at me and waved to come!
Shyly, my revolver hides under my arm, under my shirt, in a planned holster case, I approached the group of humans and half humans.
There was silence.
I kept my distance, seeing for the first time this type of creature.
In common, she breathed: "You have nothing to fear. We won't hurt you!"
My name is Sister Hissa and here they are orphans of the shipwrecked.
Are you afraid of me? I'm a woman Lizard, we have human blood but we live in the marshes. We have very little contact with humans, but there are a few of them here, who are shipwrecked by the great sea.
Say, are you alone? It's very dangerous in the jungle! Come with us to the village and we'll take care of you!"
She reached out her hand to me and I approached and took her hand and inspected scales. She smelled good and I took her hand and put it against my cheek. It was sweet.
Me:" You smell good, Mrs. Hissa, and your hands are soft, you're very beautiful too"
She blushes despite her albino skin.
"This is the first time a human has ever found us beautiful! But thank you for the compliment."
Snif snif snif
"Say, what's your name? "
"Ivan"
"And you're between 7 and 8 years old?"
"7 years..."
"Say, honestly, do you have any parents?"
"No, I've been wandering here for a year and I'm unhappy and crying"
Hissa took me in her arms and said: "With us it will be over! You will live in peace and no one will hurt you anymore"
She stroked my hair and squatted in front of me to have her head at the same level as mine.
Her eyes were huge and red. She must have been an albino. As they were oviparous, no high hiding place, just a loincloth and a tail sheath. and some decorations and jewellery in teeth and bones.
The technology must have been very medieval, and behind Kanda-ar.
It doesn't matter.
She shouted to the children, "Come and see Ivan! "
And about fifteen children of all ages and races came close to me, coming out of the lake in which they were playing.
"Ooooh, said some girls who thought I was pretty handsome and the children said to me, are you coming? Hissa put a lot of fruit on it. They're better in the jungle, but it's dangerous."
Another said, "Where did you come from, Ivan? Where do you live?"
Me: "Near the delta, I live in a small cave and there are lots of birds and I play a lot with them!"
"What are you playing with birds???? "asked Eric, the group's strong man, obviously interested in me surviving in the jungle.
"Aren't you afraid?????"
"No, I make fire and I do a little magic to defend myself and light my fire"
Kids: "What????? You can do magic???? That's great!!! Show us how to show us!"
Me: I have to ask Hissa for permission.
Hissa came to meet us and sat next to me.
"I see you've made friends, I see." She handed me a fruit.
"Here, have some. But, tell me, where have you been living all this time?"
I: "In the jungle but I've been here for a month, before I was on the other side of the sea and I lived in the mountains. It's hot and mild here. I fled the war and the ship sank and I wandered on a raft and landed here."
Hissa: "But you're crazy, it's very dangerous in the delta and we saw a black calamity. Rangers are inspecting the area and they think a super predator lives there because all the natural predators have gone.
Me:" I've been living there for a month and I haven't met any predators and that's great! there's unlimited fruit and lots of fish!"
Hissa: "But you can't live like this! Besides, I'm sorry, but you smell like a beast and your shirt is straight from dirt, and did you see your hair? Come to the village, we'll treat you.
And we gathered on the road and moved forward, playing and telling each other our misadventures
