The mythical place was called Avalon but I was in Tintagel, Cornwall.
Lord Titus took over the torch but the Grail was sent back to Palestine to counter the misfortunes of the Bretons.
I was confined to the caves of the castle.
I went out hunting and eating and I never talked. Politics was dangerous and I didn't want to make any commotion to make the soldiers angry.
It is said that the shadow is the strongest near the lamp, but that is correct. I was safer near those who could occire me than being far away and an expedition sent me to my death. The knights didn't like me.
Actually none! And the fact that Merlin disappeared was suspicious of me. I was a docile beast and nothing else. They kept me alive because I was the only vestige of the fantastic epic.
There was NO more magical creature. ALL missing. There was only me left and they were afraid that by killing me, the magic, already exhausted, would disappear completely and the plague would eat away at the country.
Lancelot had gone mad and he killed several knights, those who denounced him and he gave me hateful looks and I answered by lowering my head not to provoke him and I moaned like a dog in his presence.
Kirine remained as a friend but we had to separate because relations between Andalusia and Brittany were at their lowest and an exemplary victim could quickly be found in her person because she was close via her father, to the Wisigoth king.
One day Lancelot came and said to me:
"Our community of the round table becomes a religious order and extends across Brittany and Francia. We are being attacked by German and Danish armies. And dragons led by Jörmungand, ex Mordred, are coming here.
An Othar from Zagorcens, said the butcher of Serbia, comes to join him.
Stay out of this, it's good advice and I know you hate knights. You gave us a hell of a lot of trouble on the other side and you better not run away or associate yourself with those dragons or dragoness.!
I don't have a choice, but you'll have to be chained up here. Accept and live, refuse and die! You will have to defend and guard our treasure, the Grail. Whoever left is a fake. The real one is here! In the treasure chest. "
"King Arthur's daughter, your princess, is here and you must protect her. We're going to war!
I asked Lancelot not to put me on a chain, but I promise to stay here and keep the castle.
He then said to me: "If you run away, Kirine and her family, I will kill them personally!"
Then he closed the heavy doors behind him and I remained alone in the castle. My only occupation was Merlin's grimoires and learning spells and medicine and math, a lot of math. But knowledge was 99% about how to make a spell effective with the little mana or Chi that a human being was able to generate.
Like Merlin, son of the devil and a human being, forgiven by God and allowed by him to live among us mainly thanks to the kindness of his mother, he had quite a bit of mana but nothing in comparison to me.
So what concerned me was actually only 1% of his research. And what came naturally to me had to be calculated and drawn in order to activate this or that effect. Many of his observations were things that we learned at 6 years old in school, but for the Middle Ages, well, the High Middle Ages it was not always obvious.
The most twisted thing was chemistry. It was only after crushing and filtering with non-reproducible effects that modern chemistry has been able to clarify.
Basically it wasn't worth much to me. For a human, yes, but a dragon that has a million times more Mana than a human, no!
I transformed my den into a Merlin lab to pass the time and I loved making perfumes, candles and soap!
I learned to transform myself into a human but it only lasted a few minutes, an hour at most.
A few more spells:
Scourge of the dragon
This highly specialized spell combines magic detection and identification spells in such a way that the draconian launcher can determine whether any object in the effect area carries an enchantment that has a particular relationship to dragons or draconic magic. Thus, any magic object capable of casting draconic magic spells (or that were created with draconic magic), dragon killer weapons, dragon control potions, and even a Draconic Orb, are noticed by the dragon. Similarly, dragon plague detects active spells (including draconian spells) that produce the same effects.
The dragon does not know the exact properties or powers of the enchantments noticed. For example, for the dragon a simple sword +1, +2 against dragons will not appear more dangerous than an intelligent sword +5, a dragon slayer with the power to kill a dragon all at once. The only thing the launcher knows is that these two weapons are more powerful against dragons than against other creatures.

In any case, this spell is not a substitute for magic detection or identification. Its main function, and the reason why it was created, is to be able to be used during combat, because it allows the dragon to determine which opponents use magic objects and spells that are dangerous for dragons. This way, the dragon knows who to focus his attacks on or who to avoid if things get tricky.
Breath alteration
With this spell, a dragon makes his breath take on the appearance and properties of a breath of another type of dragon. For dragons who possess multiple forms of breath, only one is changed by fate. In any case, fate creates a real change, not an illusion. In addition, the amount of damage caused by the altered breath is the same as that of the dragon's real breath; only the type, not the power of the breath is changed.
For example, a red dragon can use this spell to change its flaming breath into a cloud of chlorine gas (like the one used by green dragons), but with a damage potential equal to its usual flame breath. By using this spell, the dragon is able to injure creatures that are normally immune or resistant to its flaming breath (e. g., another red dragon). Of course, a creature immune to chlorinated gases or dragon blows in general is not injured by the attack.
Aura of terror
By using this spell, a dragon improves its ability to strike with terror creatures subject to its aura of fear.
When this spell is cast, the dragon creates an illusion that enhances his image of rage and combat experience: multiple battle scars, altered or disfigured details, larger claws and fangs, etc. All this makes the dragon even more threatening than usual.
Treasure keeper
Thanks to this spell, a dragon can protect his treasure in such a way that it makes theft practically impossible.
When this spell is cast, the dragon's breath is temporarily changed. Instead of the usual breath of fire, acid, and so on, the breath becomes pure magical energy.
This energy binds all parts of the treasure it touches into a solid mass. The spell does not destroy the treasure, nor does it alter its appearance or disposition; the objects in the treasure remain free and separate. Instead, the treasure guard magic fills the spaces between the coins, gems, weapons, chests, and everything else, and keeps them together as one heap of wealth. This invisible link prevents the treasure from being sorted, separated for transport, dispersed, or otherwise moved or handled in separate pieces. Because it has become one unit, lifting the treasure at once is impossible by a single creature, except by the use of powerful magic.
Monitoring of the brood
This simple but very useful spell uses the magic of teleportation to protect un-hatched dragon eggs. During the incantation, the dragon manipulates each egg of the brood. Then, the spell remains dormant until it is triggered.
After the spell was completed, no creature other than the incantation dragon could touch even one egg without triggering its magic. When the spell is activated, all eggs are immediately transported without error (like the spell of the same name) to another place known to the dragon, which is determined during the incantation. However, if each egg is subject to a separate spell, each egg may have its point of arrival (although this is rarely done).
Changing scales
This spell only changes the color of the dragon, not its physical form. Thus, if a white dragon changes the color of its scales to black, it keeps the shape of a white dragon. The change in colour is usually more than enough to fool most observers, however, there are few people who can recognize a dragon by its anatomy.
Bramble entanglement
With this spell, the launcher transforms an area of heather or brambles into a dense tangle of thorny coppice through which movement is virtually impossible. In the area of the effect of a tangle of Venom brambles, creatures of large or larger size cannot pass without suffering immense damage.
Sharp Crocs
This spell is one of the favourites among dragons who like to use their fangs in combat. The spell alters the dragon's fangs, making them harder and more pointed.
Dragons also use sharp fangs when chewing on a tasty but hard armoured dwarf, or for knights in plate armor. Spell casters of other races have never tried to learn this spell because most casters do not have the dentition of dragons.
Razor Hooks Razors
This spell is a greatly improved version of sharp fangs, both use the same principles. This version, of course, is much more dangerous than the other.
When razor fangs are thrown, the teeth become exceptionally hard, strong, and sharp. In addition, 1 in 5 times, the bite cuts off one of an opponent's limbs (or another end, as the case may be), as if the victim had been struck by a magic weapon. And one in five times, the victim's head was cut off.
As with the sharp fangs spell, razor fangs is useless to non dragons
Sharp wings
This fate is favored by dragons who are gifted enough to use their wings to strike their opponents. The spell alters the wings of the incantation dragon by making the edge of each wing as sharp as a well maintained blade and as strong as steel. It is not possible to observe the edge, but anyone who touches the edge of an affected wing will feel the impact of this magic effect.
Aerial acceleration
This spell reduces air friction, increasing a dragon's flight speed by 50%.
Although it was developed by dragons, aerial acceleration affects any flying creature affected by the incantation dragon (whether the flight is magical or natural). However, since dragons eat or terrorize most of their visitors, this fate is usually reserved for dragons.
Bind the wings together
Linking the wings is a very effective combat spell known to very few dragons. When the spell is cast, it creates a canvas or net of force that wraps around the target (which must be a dragon). This force net has the same effect as a seizure attack: the dragon is unable to fly and dives to the ground.
Deadly Gate
With this spell, the draconian summoner can protect a particular door or portal, so that any creature who tries to cross the portal without first pronouncing a keyword is immediately victim of a modified form of a death spell (the term portal also covers the entrance to a cave or tunnel, with a diameter of less than ten metres). A single application of this spell can kill a total of 5 people or creatures before deactivating.
Note that only the gate or passage is protected. It is conceivable that a character will gain access to the wall next to him, for example by making a breach, in which case he will enter without risk. A door protected by a deadly door spell radiates a powerful aura of necromantic magic. At the moment the dragon casts this spell, he may decide to make the protection visible or invisible. If the dragon opts for visibility, the door emits a pale blue glow; this glow is not strong enough to be detected in broad daylight, but it appears clearly at dusk or in less bright conditions.
According to legend, some human magicians have developed their own version of this spell. But all of them suffered a tragic fate when they tried to use it. Almost half of the magicians died during the invocation, and the others suffered from permanent paralysis to varying degrees, or from an incurable disease.
