Chapter 3 - Who's the pet?, a few years and new family.
It's been almost twelve weeks since I was born, in this time my parents have been really good with me.
I’ve been learning a lot of the world and my new body. My training is about to start, but this was also the first time my parents have discussed about something in front of me.
Mind it, they didn’t discuss angrily about what road I should take on my body training, they bickered like children in the schoolyard about who had the best older brother.
“He has to follow the same training program I used, there’s nothing better than weight and exertion training” He flexed his arm, showing how the muscles bulked up with the simple motion.
Let’s describe my father for a moment, he’s about 1.96 meters tall, his skin can be described tanned and with a constant glow to it, this is apparent result of his work, qi/life force training has certain tells, and a shine on the muscles is a pretty basic one. He’s not bulky, but one can easily see the well worked muscles. His name is Lucio Diamante, for what little I been around, I managed to piece that he has living mostly in low or no magic worlds, not to call him a muscle brain, but he likes thing simpler.
“With current healing spells there would be no repercussions and hard work will build great character!”
I turned my head to my mother to listen to her point.
“Maybe if there wasn’t a magic density like there’s in this world. He will get the same amount of results if not more from simple meditation exercises, you also got to remember what type of power he has” Mother rebuked my father.
Mother was a slim woman, opposite to my father on the spectrum and more of a brain-over-matter. She’s 1.75 meters, delicate figure, and milky white skin with blue curly hair. Her name’s Myra Diamante and father took her surname when they married. Opposite to my father, she has lived mostly in magical and spiritual world.
Thankfully they gave me the final choice after presenting both, sadly I have to say that laziness and the idea of having to spend days running with increasing weights scared. I went with mom's choice of training; I almost instantly regretted that as she started a victory dance in front of the three of us.
Yes, three, the furball is now part of the family, dad may have said pet, but he legally adopted it into the family. The furball is a recently reincarnated soul and for what they say, going from dragon to bunny declares some screw up in the karma department, it either did something really bad or insulted the wrong person.
Dad and Mom have explained me that there's certain level of predisposition in reincarnation, Karma, as it's normally called.
Good and bad actions balance, being born a dragon means a huge amount of karma in your favor (or having pulled strings somewhere). This doesn’t mean that you can’t be evil and a dragon, it just usually means pleasing someone powerful enough to put you in the correct line.
But going from dragon to bunny in one death is usually reserved for genocide or cursing the wrong god. The bunny's obviously not cooperating and talking about their previous life, but it doesn’t appear blood thirsty enough to have committed massive amounts of murder.
Of course, lacking a great size and power didn't stop the bunny from ordering me around to do stuff, sadly for the furball and lucky for me, I was still in no shape to move and spent most of my time simply meditating.
This easily went on for a couple of months, nearing the end of my third month of life I managed to give my first steps. Something that I didn't believe it was possible before, but my ability to not believe stuff has been thrown out of the window several weeks ago.
Being able to walk also brought back the problem of having to take care of the bossy pet. The small furball was once more asking me to do stuff for them, bring food, water, etc…
It never stopped talking about its fond memories of eating well cooked (burnt) meat. Sadly for the bunny, it couldn’t eat meat, but made up crunching on carrots, it said it was like chewing on bones once again.
Being able to walk also brought me to Mom's second step on her training, what she taught me quickly made me remember about Tai Chi and other soft Martial Arts I saw in my previous life, of course your body didn't glow when you practiced those.
By the time I was one year old, I already looked around two years old, dad and mom say it's something about the soul influencing the body. And here it’s a lot stronger than in other places. Since my soul had an adult view of me, my body grew to please, mind over body and all that.

By my 18th month of life, I already looked around 3 years old, my parents told me the degree of growth was quite astonishing for someone with just one reincarnation, but again, I was the first of my kind here in Reincarnia.
Time passed, and I got to my fifth year, my body now looks like I’m ten.
The white fur ball hasn't pleased us with their name so far, we keep calling it fur ball. It doesn't look pleased that we do that.
It still orders me around, but lately I have seen it trying magic; It told me to stay away since Dragon Magic is dangerous, but so far we haven't seen the results besides a really tired bunny each night.
Another thing is that in these 5 years I have barely seen other people. I saw Daevas a couple more times each year, she comes around to check on my health, making sure that there're no problems with my little experience in reincarnations.
She also approved on my choice of training, deeming the other branch (my dad's choice) barbaric. Dad wasn't too happy after hearing that from my mom. They act so childish sometimes.
But talking about childish and children, I haven't met anyone my age, if this was some other story, I'm sure I would at least have a female friend for some silly love interest plot, but I think that's real life for you, there’re no obvious cliché developments.
Things got interesting for me as one day as I was doing some meditation in the garden.
“Come on, bring me a carrot” I kept my eyes closed as I heard the fur ball pester me, its white furred body bouncing in front of me, for being hungry it was being quite active.
“I promise that if you do, I will reward you with the chance to see my powerful dragon magic” It kept boasting, the idea of seeing the bunny finally prove it was a dragon piqued my curiosity.
“I can't believe you, you got to promise, or swear, or something” I wasn't giving it any chances, the little thing has scammed some good fruit out of my hands before.
“I Swear by <> the God of Cliches, that I will show you my dragon magic if you bring me a carrot!”
‘Well, didn't that sound ominous’ I couldn't but think as I stood up, stretched my limbs and went to grab the biggest carrot in the kitchen hoping that it would give me a reason to ask for something flashy at least.
I slowly walked back, noting that my parents weren’t around. I found the white furball waiting, sitting on the same rock I had been meditating a few minutes ago.
“Here you have” I said and threw the large carrot over, watching the bunny catch it in the middle air.
The bunny stopped and placed the carrot down “It's hard to eat such a carrot in this form, so I will show you my powerful Dragon Magic”
I could instantly feel the energy starting to concentrate around the white furball. At the same time I heard the front door open, my parents obviously coming into the house.
[TLIES SNAGDRA I IPSLH] Its voice turned heavy and profound.
‘Looks like the furball wasn't lying about being powerful on its previous life’ I watched as energy concentrated around the bunny, turning into a blinding sphere around the bunny. I couldn’t see, but I heard my parents rush to our spot.
I heard my parents stand behind me as the blinding light suddenly disappeared, instead in front of us was a young girl about my age stood where the bunny once was.
She stood taller than me, but only if you counted the two large white bunny ears sprouting from her head. Her skin was pale, eyes still as red as before, her childish body was covered with a white fur bikini, it remembered me certain character from a fighting game. Her hands and legs differed from the rest of her ‘style’, there were scales extending from her hands to half way up her arms; it was like she wore gloves and socks made of snake skin. The scales were a deep and fiery red, her nails were like claws.
“Dammit you Cliche God, this should been enough energy for a full transformation, what is this half-three-way transformation” I barely could chuckle as I wanted to curse that Cliche God too, looks like I found my female childhood friend.
“Oh my” I heard my mother behind me “And here I was thinking about getting a daughter, a little girl would be a good addition to the family” She placed her hand on my head “Looks like you have a sister now my son”
And that's how on my 5th year of second life, I got a sister.
