"Damn-it get it together, Ke'an." He yells at himself.
He unsheathes his war machete getting into the low stance of the pai form. He stabs the blade of the weapon into the black pillar beneath him. The pillar reacts differently than the stone ones below. It is the first time he has even tried to use his rock magic on the new black pillars. As soon as the blade made contact the black void began to quickly shift into stone. Ke'an could feel the remnant life force swirling within the pillar as if it were an animal that just died.
"What is this thing? It feels alive… well more like a dying animal." Ke'an says as he looks down at the empty black. "Wait if this thing is alive then."
An idea shot into Ke'an's head as soon as he had the revelation, however the window to act is quickly closing. Ke'an stomps his right foot while precisely manipulating his magic in his boots. A complex magic circle which acts as a magic siphon and purifier is instantaneously engraved deeply into the pillar. To an untrained observer the magic diagram would look perfect in its complexity and use of formula. However, to Ke'an it is a rush job with many areas that could be improved if he had more than a few seconds to complete it.
The gamble paid off and Ke'an could feel the magic from the pillar's remnant life flow into his weapons. The gun's faint glow becomes a bright, albeit slightly purple heat as if the gun is molten hot. The blade takes on the same coloration as the pillar, a dingy black void, unlike the pillar it has a single star glinting brightly. This magic, unlike the stagnate reality, does not have an alien mind within it allowing Ke'an to use it unabated.
Ke'an surges the magic within himself pulling out the lycanthrope power within. Everytime he used the power before he had to split his magic between himself and the enchantments on his weapons. Having to split his magic in so many different ways meant that the form and the weapons were weaker. Now he can focus magic on maintaining the lycanthrope ability while the magic siphon powers the enchantment on his weapons. This means his wolf form and weapons are at the limits of his current ability. The boost to his senses more than makes up for the lethargy caused by the stagnate reality he tried to absorb previously. He breathes a sigh of relief as his confidence in the fight ahead rises.
Ke'an fires his gun again, this time imbued with far more magic than before. The lisetaur that is the closest to him tries to avoid the shot but is clipped in the arm. It lets out a painful shriek as the bullet hits like a cannon shell and explodes. The lisetaur's arm is blown off and its torso is ripped to shreds. It screams in pain as it falls to the ground.
The second lisetaur is undisturbed in the attack and rushes at Ke'an with blind fury. Ke'an hosters his gun with no time to reload and is confident in his abilities now that one of the lisetaurs is down for the count. As it bears down on him, he quickly slashes with his blade. While simultaneously avoiding the vicious claws of the creature. The sword slashes across the creature's torso at the same time three spikes form from the pillar shooting up to impale the monster. The lisetaur moves in a blur of motion to avoid the spikes as it coils back on its body before striking again like a snake.
In the midst of the fight Ke'an sees something he did not expect. The purple semi-solid light is bending towards the downed lisetaur and speeding up the recovery of the creature. Not only that, the single arm that had been removed in the explosion seemed to be growing rapidly into a clone. Ke'an is horrified as the formally two lisetaurs became three in seconds. Though both seemed to still be recovering but will soon be ready to join the fight.

Ke'an's low stance and greatly enhanced reflexes are enough to counter the wild strikes of the lisetaur in front of him but the shock of how dire the situation just became causes him to hesitate. The lisetaur took full advantage of Ke'an's momentary pause and spun around hitting Ke'an with its spiked tail. Ke'an is hit in the side and while the spikes can not penetrate the magic armor the force breaks a few of his ribs and sends him flying. He hits the ground a few meters away on his feet but quickly falls to one knee.
He is given no respite as the lisetaurs move in to close the distance once again. Ke'an switches out the lycanthrope power to the bear ability growing in height and muscle mass. The sacrifice in speed and agility made up for in brute strength and resilience. The first lisetaur to reach him is surprised that Ke'an met the creature with a brutal punch to its face breaking its jaw while at the same time staggering it. He doesn't give it time to right itself before the blade of the machete shifts to an upward slash that removes its head drenching Ke'an in its warm blood like a fresh coat of paint.
Ke'an's hopes that by killing the creature out right it will not be able to multiply. His hopes are dashed as light bends towards the decapitated head and body which both start to twitch. The now fully healed second and newly formed third lisetaurs rush toward Ke'an, both of them clawing and slashing at him. Ke'an flips his machete to its blunt back edge using it more as a club than blade to avoid making more of the lisetaurs.
Ke'an found fighting one of the lisetaurs is doable, but having two on him is pushing him harder than he has ever experienced. Worst is the fact that any damage Ke'an does is quickly healed by the violet light and their natural healing factors. The only reason he has not been clawed to bloody ribbons is because of the enchanted armor which is also reaching its limits. The lisetaurs not intelligent and don't work well together; they get in each other's way and don't strategize like many pack monsters will.
Ke'an stomps the ground again causing a wall of stone to rise and separate him from the lisetaurs. It gives him a brief moment of respite to think of a new plan. The only thing he can think of is to destroy the glowing monolith in the sky which seems to be the main source of the lisetaurs powers. Ke'an takes off running to the base of the pillars. He swaps out the power of the bear for that of the wolf to increase his speed. The now four lisetaurs not far behind him. As he approaches the wall he uses his magic to create a pillar underneath his feet that launches him into the air to give him a head start on the climb.
Ke'an slams into the wall and starts his ascent while using a combination of his magic, rock climbing skill and the added agility granted by the lycanthrope ability. He knows he has to use every skill and trick he knows to scale the shear wall faster than any normal person can hope to match. However it is not fast enough as the lisetaurs are even quicker and they catch up to him like a hawk diving to catch its prey.
"Nope-nope nope. Not today you freaky sons of…" Ke'an exclaims.
Ke'an is cut off from the force of his jump from the wall as a second pillar created by his magic to propel him like a rocket even further, right in the last seconds before the monsters could set their claws into him. While in the air Ke'an takes out his stamps and flips out the one labeled fire. He stamps his machete as he lands with a roll on the glowing pillar giving it both the fire and rock enchantments. The enchantment mixes into a hybrid of both powers as the magic causes the blade to erupt into a brilliant flame with an oddly purple hue.
"Now. Will. You. Just. Die already." Ke'an yells out each word with angry determination.
The ability to control mixed enchantments is a unique skill to very few people in Ke'an's village. The skill is so unique and secretive that he and his father are the only people in his branch of the family that has ever had the aptitude. The skill is usually only held by the main branch and if he or his father were discovered to have the ability it could be seen as a threat to the main family and they will likely take action. Ke'an quickly stands up getting into a new stance from the secret sari'vas form eleven his father developed known as pured or magma.
