Synopsis

[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge. Revisions pending.] Things didn't really start off all that weird, but boy - that sure didn't last.I opened my eyes, and I really wish I hadn't. I was a literal. Honest-to-god. Cel-shaded anime mage girl named Alice. With dark blue hair, purple eyes, a stupid ahoge, and a complete and utter lack of stature or athleticism. Worst of all? This girl Alice was supposed to be some sort of magic prodigy. And well, I woke up here with none of her knowledge and expertise so I guess I'm a fraud. My family - the Liddell family here is broke. We're about to lose the house, and there's no food on the table. Alice coming of legal adventuring age was supposed to be the family's big break. All the expectations in the world were heaped on me, and my airhead of a sister Lorina has dragged me off to deal with all kinds of bowel-clenching, terrifying situations. One deadly scenario after another after another....Why can't life just be simple? 2/3/2023:I do want to address this a bit in the opening comments. The first 25 chapters of the story were written in under 10 days for the Writathon. That adds up to a staggering 65000 words. i.e this was the rush job to end all rush jobs when it started out.  This started off as a whimsical comedic idea I came up with on the fly for the Writathon, but it has turned into a character-driven story with a heavy emphasis on character development, functional magic, and worldbuilding. A heavy dose of horror, angst, and existentialism are now showcased front and center, and the cringey isekai start has left the story with fundamental structural issues that can't be fixed with copy editing. I've been commissioning artwork and CGs, reference sheets, and portraits non-stop for the story, and my worldbuilding + outlnie doc is now at over 120 pages. It would require a more extensive copy editing effort to line everything up, but I will see this story through to the end in spite of the structural issues. With that in mind, any and all constructive feedback is greatly appreciated.
