He knew he had to.
He knew he had to defeat them.
The Devoted Cult needed to end at some point.
Ford Reski was the one who would take out the Devoted Cult once and for all. They could no longer take over the Capital.
How he did it? Well,
It all started with a meeting. Ford and the crew would meet up in the town hall, where they would discuss the impending attack with the king and vice king.
They each chose a means of attack, ultimately resulting in Ford being the one who would explode the entrance, then everyone else would storm in, and an ambush would start.
According to the plan, the Devoted Cult would be too outnumbered to fight back, ultimately resulting in their untimely demise.
All that was left, was to put this plan into action.

Reed: "We Will Fight... FOR PEACE!"
Cheers roaring all around the town hall, Ford included among those cheers.
"IT WILL BE US WHO WILL TAKE THEM OUT!"
Ford proceeded to point at Reed, Redis, Arias, Ladis, Vulgart, and Everyone else who participated in the meeting a week ago.
Everyone let out a loud cheer as they all stormed out of the building, running in the direction of the Devoted Cult's side of town.

Upon making it to the entrance, everyone was quiet, as not to draw attention.
Ford, proceeded to grab one pack of dynamite, and plant it right at the entrance of the ruin. It was set to explode in approximately 30 seconds.

Ford said, as he backed away from the entrance.

Everyone proceeded to pull out their weapons and prepare for the impending ambush.

....CRASH!....
The arch leading into the ruins caved in on itself, letting out a loud CRASH!
Suddenly, everyone screamed and stormed in, weapons in hand.
This was an all out war, and the Capital was on the winning side.
Redis: "FORD! COME WITH ME!"
Redis screamed, and Ford turned to look in his direction.
He was chasing after a leader, cultist leader number 1 presumably.
Ford ran with Redis after the leader, who was trying to make a break for it. Luckily, Ford was a pretty fast runner, so he would manage to catch up.

Ford then would activate his Divine Light power, forming a sword in his hand.
When the weapon was made, he charged at the leader, While letting out a scream.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"
Suddenly, he slashed in the air, causing a beam of light to rush towards the leader, before cutting him straight in half, blood and guts pouring out everywhere.
Then, everything went quiet.
Ford walked towards the leader, who was laying lifeless on the ground, and said-
"We won"
Then, he fainted.

A room, surrounded by what looked to be a dark fog. Ford's mind was... At ease... Until-
??: "Save me"
"Huh?"
The strange voice was back, repeating the same line over and over-
??: "Save me.. Save me"
Yes, Save her... Save her... Save her... Save her... Save her... Save her... Why won't Ford save her?
??: "Save me"
"Shut the hell up! Stop!"
It wouldn't stop, the voice wouldn't stop.
She needed to be saved.
??: "Save me"
The voice said, right in Ford's ear, then, he woke up.

Ford slowly opened his eyes, and looked around.
He was by the entrance of the ruins.
All he could let out, was-
"Did we win?"
Then, he passed out.

He woke up, and it was dark this time. He looked at the shelf next to him, and saw a letter. All it said was-
"We won"
He smiled, and went to sleep.

The next morning, Ford went over to meet with Reed and Redis.
"Well, It was nice gettin' to know you two."
Reed: "Right back at you! Feel free to come back anytime!"
"Will do!"
That's right, the battle was over. So that marks the end of their "mission" in Rowan.
Ford, Arias, Cecilia, Vulgart, Ladis, Ama, and Daren all packed up to get ready to head back to Crowlan.
Before heading out, Ford turned to the past princess candidates, and-
"It was nice meeting all of you as well. I hope we meet again someday."
Felma: "Yes... Same here."
Felma said, as she smiled and shook Ford's hand.
The other candidates all bowed, as Ford turned around and got onto the carriage.
Ford's mind: "I wonder where we will end up next..."

King William: "That weakling won?!"
Rayn: "I'm afraid so..."
King William: "Capture Ms. Arias, let's see how he lives then.."
