Chapter 5 - The Storm, Part 1**
**Tarious POV**
My body was paralyzed. I tried to turn my head to look around and see what was going on, but it was pointless. The pressure of the bloodlust pressed down upon me like a tidal wave, keeping me frozen in place. My eyes were stuck on Starlia, who wasn't doing well either. For the first time, I saw fear in those bright aqua-blue eyes of hers. I tried to crack a smile, but my lips refused to move an inch.
Suddenly, a figure appeared, surrounded by sparks of green. The first thing I noticed was his dark green eyes simmering with hate, staring right at me. It was an elf, but not like any I had ever seen before. Elven men were usually slender and lean, but this guy was different. He was almost seven feet tall, his body packed with massive, powerful muscles that could even be seen under the dark cloak he was wearing. This guy was a beast; he was bigger than most bodybuilders in my past life. 'Shit, shit, shit, who the fuck is this guy and what does he want?' My thoughts were all over the place as the situation was getting to me. First, the bloodlust that felt like a hurricane of pure hatred and rage, then this guy. Everything just threw me off my game, and I was beginning to panic.
"Pathetic. So this is the dark elf the royal family has in their midst. I would love to just rip out your guts right here, but unfortunately, we don't have time." His voice was cold and deep, like the chill running down my spine. He stretched out his hand towards me, but just as it approached my face, "Boom!" All the chairs but the one I was sitting on, half the dining table, and even a huge chunk of the ground were straight up disintegrated as Starlia went wild. She was coated in her usual emerald green aura, her eyes completely consumed by the green color of her magic. Waves of magic traveled from her body in all directions. Because I was now awakened, I could finally sense the unreal amount of power she was giving off. It was too much for my senses; they were under strain from feeling all the hate and anger of the bloodlust, and now Starlia's power. It felt like all that hate was clashing against pure power.

"Interesting," the cloaked figure muttered, his voice laced with cautious curiosity. "So this is Starlia Nevada, the child prodigy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can accomplish without this dark elf controlling you." With a simple hand sign from the mysterious figure, emerald green chains appeared in mid-air, quickly surrounding Starlia and binding her in place.
"You bastard!" Starlia screamed. "Hurt my brother, and I'll make you wish you were never born!" Starlia struggled against the chains, doing everything she could, even flaring her magic power, trying her best to break free, but nothing she did worked.
"So this damn Drûshak has infected you this much with his mind control, huh? You genuinely believe he's your brother." The figure's tone was filled with hate. "Don't worry, you'll thank me later for freeing you from the clutches of this shadow spawn," he said in a somewhat gentle tone before lifting me by my face with one hand.
"No, don't!" Starlia's face was covered in tears as she thrashed around, trying her best to escape from the bindings to no avail. I could do nothing but sit there and watch as my sister bawled her eyes out, watching the pain on her face as she tried her best to save me but could do nothing. Why was I so weak? I was weak in my last life, and I was just as weak in this one, powerless to do anything as I was held in place by his bloodlust. I felt his hand digging into my skin, painfully gripping my face as he lifted me into the air with one hand.
"NO!" I heard Starlia let out one final scream. I felt the familiar warmth of teleportation magic enveloping my body as we disappeared.
