This is a terrible partnership. Why? Because we can't communicate at all! What's up with him?! "So let me ask you , for the third time, what does the skill Zwilling do apart from letting us talk?." I ask in my sweetest voice. "Error. Terms to broad. Please specify." comes the automatic reply from zwi. I sigh. Please, I don't wanna play twenty questions with a robot. "Well alright then let's just skip this. I bet we will learn in time." And of course I receive no reply. I bump my backside into a table corner and get rewarded by the sound of metal striking wood.
You couldn't see the backside before but on there is a dull gray plate of metal, formed like a helmet, with three scratches over his left eye. Yes that's right. Exactly like the mosaic. Good thing you remembered that. But there's a difference! This guy has red orbs for eyes. Yes just like I have green ones. So I have concluded that that is his face. Hence why I bumped it. No I'm not childish.
"So then let's test the other skills, you ready zwi?" "Waiting for input." that's one thing I like about him. Always ready like a good little camper. "Alright then please tell me about the skill Astral Perception." Since my perfect knowledge seems to have vanished I have to ask zwi now each time I want to know something.
"Skill Astral Perception. Toggled. Allows you to spread out your mana and percieve the world around you. Allows you to see astral and spectral beings. Allows you to detect mana and traces of mana. Warning! You can not see into enclosed spaces or objects, except if there is an opening you can push your mana through. Warning! Others can detect your perception field as much as you can detect them. Warning! The range is only limited by your mana pool. Warning! You can't use this skill with an empty Mana pool."
Yep just like I thought a perfectly balance skill. But really the details you can see with it are amazing. I can read the title of a book at the other side of the room. But it's a mana coating so I don't see color or written text. A shame really. I probably could read twenty books at once like this. Well onto the next one. "Next skill from the list please."
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Skill Perfect Telekinesis. Toggled on target. Allows you to lift objects and move them around. This skill costs mana scaled to the weight of target objects. Example: a five kilogram book costs five mana to target. But after that the object can be moved as long as you don't cancel the skill."
Oh he answered that vague question. Guess he's a smarty after all. But really this skill seems ab bit too good. I mean it didn't specify a limit on the number of objects or the velocity you can move them with. Let's test that. I target a small iron ball twenty meters away, while keeping an eye on my mana pool. The ball lifts into the air and my mana doesnt even drop a point. I then move the ball with six hundred kilometers per hour against the stone wall on the other end of the room. A small hole is created. Yep this is perfectly balanced as all things should be.
"All right I don't need the one for Perfect Telepathy so let's skip that one and tell me the next." I mean it's pretty obvious what it does. I guess since it's a perfect skill it doesn't need mana or have a range limit or something.
"Skill Soul Contact. Allows you to form different kinds of soul contract's. This can range from a soul bond for item use to a servant bond with a monster."
Huh, the explanation is simple but the implications are big. I guess when I soul bond someone to us they can use us like a magical tome. Interesting. Maybe I find someone like that one day. Then let's go to the next one.
"Skill Perfect Subspace Storage. Always active. Can't be stolen, blocked or broken into. Allows you to store objects into a Subspace Storage. This skill takes mana permanently from your mana pool scaled to the weight of objects in your storage. Warning! You can not put living creatures into the Subspace. Warning! You can not retrieve items if you have no mana. Warning! You can not store objects if you have no mana. Warning! Upon death items vanish from existence."
Now you're scaring me! What do you mean vanish from existence?! Also did you read my thoughts?! " Affirmative." "Don't it's creepy as hell." "Affirmative."
