THREE

He felt kinda bad for tricking the kid but on second thought it wasn’t really tricking him. He hadn’t gifted him with a spirit root he had just focused his full attention on the spirit root causing it to open up under the extreme pressure. Although this was directly influencing the world, such tiny levels of interference seemed to go unnoticed.

He watched as the kid lined up in front of the old cultivator to see if he had a spirit root. He had given Tai a pretty easy quest, now all he had to do was wait a few days for him to complete it and he could see how the stat page functioned. That being said he still had 2 more users to add.

He didn’t want his users to be too close to each other, it wouldn’t do well to have them meet each other. Plus he wanted to have a wide variety of users.

Moving his vision across the oceans he left the western most continent and gazed across the central continent. The cultivators here seemed to be much stronger as a whole than on the western continent. Core formation cultivators were abundant and there were many more nascent soul cultivators too, however very few of them were in the great circle of Nascent soul. Surprisingly though there were no soul formation cultivators.

The Qi density didn’t seem to be the issue, the Qi was much denser on this continent compared to the western one. Perhaps they lacked the proper techniques to reach the next stage? Or maybe there was some other limiter, regardless Wyatt was sure that he would unearth the truth eventually.

He had an interesting idea in mind for the next user. His sight zoomed across the continent as he took in sights and eventually came to a stop in a mid sized sect.

The sect was located deep within a forest filled with towering trees that Wyatt hadn’t ever seen on his previous planet. Within the forest was a massive clearing better described as a plain filled with luscious green grass, a shimmering bubble which he assumed was a protective formation surrounding what was essentially a massive tiered city. There were 4 tiers, with outer disciples on the bottom, inner disciples on the 3rd tier, core disciples on the 2nd tier and the elders and sect leader on the first tier.

Bringing his gaze back down to the 4th tier after confirming the sect leader's cultivation was only at late nascent soul, he searched for the perfect 2nd User.

Finally he came across a servant sweeping one of the many courtyards.

[Fang Hao] (common) [Extremely Weak]

Age: 17

Spirit Root: Earth: 22% , Lightning: 24%

Cultivation technique: Heaven’s Unity Scripture [Extremely Weak]

Cultivation: 70% to 1st stage of Qi condensation

Interesting, as he looked at a few more servants he saw that although they had some cultivation, none were at the 1st stage of qi condensation. He also noticed that none of the servants were above the age of 18 and the youngest he had seen were 13.

It seems they take in disciples at 13 and give them 5 years to reach the qi condensation stage.

Going back to Fang Hao it seemed that he wasn’t destined to join this Heaven Unity Sword sect, he had been given 4 years and was only 70% of the way to the 1st stage.

Fear not Fang Hao! We’re going to shake the heavens!

Fang Hao was resigned to his fate. He knew that he wasn’t going to be able to join the sect, he had been a servant for 4 years and had seen many disciples come and go in that time and all of the disciples he had come with had already advanced to outer disciples. One of them -Huyan Yu, the son of his old village chief- had even managed to become a core disciple!

Although jealousy welled within him as he thought of the success of others it slowly simmered on to despair and he swept the floor with even more vigour.

It was at this moment that a slightly transparent blue panel appeared in front of him.

[The Heavens Bear Witness To Your Endless Determination Accept Their Divine Bestowal]

Y/N

What?! Fang Hao dropped his broom in shock. Endless determination? Tears welled up in his eyes, had the heavens truly witnessed the unfairness of his situation and personally intervened to correct the situation?

“Yes!” he exclaimed his heart beating out of his chest

[Fang Hao]

Age: 17

Spirit Root: Earth: 22% , Lightning: 24%

Cultivation technique: Heaven’s Unity Scripture [Extremely Weak]

Cultivation: 70% to 1st stage of Qi condensation

[New Quest]

Prove your determination! Sweep the floor 1000 times!

Reward: stat page

As Fang Hao marvelled at the system screen Wyatt too marvelled at the screen that had appeared in front of him

[ Cultivation Technique added to library]

A user has acquired a cultivation technique!

Heaven Unity scripture [Extremely Weak]

I can do that? I have a library? Wyatt stared bitterly at the screen. If I had known I would’ve made this guy my first user! This new development opened up a whole new path, it was basically free rewards he could hand out later! Although the scripture was rated extremely weak he knew that was just the system's bullshit rating, regardless it would be leagues better than whatever backwater technique Tai had and he could use this as his next reward.

As his mind thought of Tai a system screen popped up

[Tai] (Common) (Extremely Weak)

Age: 13

Spirit root: Fire 36% (unawakened)

Cultivation technique: Heavenly Flame Scripture [Extremely Weak]

Cultivation: 18%

That was useful, he wasn’t looking forward to panning back across the globe every time he had to look at one of his users.

Wow it had only been 10 days since he had left Tai but he was already at 18% of the 1st stage. Honestly, before he had come to this sect and seen the outer disciples he hadn’t realised how long it would take for Tai to actually reach the first stage. Thankfully he didn’t have abysmal talent like Fang Hao, actually it looked like his talent was actually pretty good and it would only be about a little more than a month or so before he completed his quest.

Compared to this Fang Hao who only had to sweep the floor 1000 times he felt kind of bad for giving Tai a much harder quest.

With his second user sorted Wyatt rubbed his nonexistent hands and panned over to the eastern continent to locate his 3rd user.

As soon as his gaze moved to the continent he could feel the difference in the air. Both the quantity and quality of qi was much higher here, the continent was also different from the other 2 in that instead of sects being the most dominant force on the continent clans seemed to be the dominating force. As he lazily moved sight across the continent he received another shock.

A soul formation cultivator! This was the first soul formation cultivator he had seen on the planet!
