The five people went on the move with Brian and the bird men to the elves camp. I kept vigilant watch on them in case of any sudden movements like the gust of wind the bird men used earlier since it was fast. The large group of hundreds created a loud rustling sound in this silent night. Looking at the five Brian was leading; they all had a certain characteristic to them.
One was a woman with long oddly pink hair and bunny ears extending from her head with blue eyes. Next to her was a man with flat silver hair and red eyes. In the center was a man with long yet straight blonde hair having blue eyes. The tip of his ears were pointed and his skin was white... an elf... well Stanford and the others are also elves but thinking about it, none of them have blonde hair... maybe I got his race wrong or this must be genetics. Anyways, on the right of him was a man with flat spiky hair and had cat ears on his head with black eyes. The last man had brown hair, green eyes, and two horns extending from the sides of his head. His frame was... muscles... large muscles bulging out of his body; I could see veins popping out...
Why does this group of people suddenly seem super strong? Actually, if they could all use magic then it might be very dangerous. Moving my vision back towards the camp faster than the group of people who were rushing up the hill, I see the town hall and enter it.
◄Okay Barbra, use 50 percent of my magic for defense now... also you'll need to be talking soon►
I really didn't expect there to be hundreds of people, I only thought there would be a little over 100 of them, I'll need to up the defenses. The other 50 percent is for... just in case I need to send them off. Just a moment after I said that to Barbra, she replied a bit flustered.
[Fi-50 percent?! I-I got it master, could you tell me what I'm supposed to do?]
She was surprised by me giving that much magic to use, it's much larger than what I gave to her before. I give her a explanation on what was happening and how there were hundreds of potential enemies. Of course we're going with the peace route first. Soon enough, the group arrived in front of the camp. Giving a signal to Barbra, there was a brilliant flash of light in the air. The people who had just arrived covered their eyes from the light since it was so bright and their eyes were probably adjusted to the dark. They looked down so they could see the ground light up brightly, then soften into a glow. When they confirmed there wasn't another flash, they made a hole between their arms to look through and saw a child sized purple fairy clothed in light.
"Welcome visitors."
Barbra spoke to them. The whole group stared her then Brian pointed and said...
"That fairy is the one who kidnapped my people!"
"There seem to be some misunderstandings."
Replying back to Brian, Barbra calmly talked. Brian was looking back the five people in black as if he was hurrying them. The maybe elf let a question out.
"Brian, didn't you say it was the elves that kidnapped your people?"
His face tensed up at the question, the people around gave a suspicious glare at him for a moment then he quickly said.
"The fairy orders the elves around! She made them use magic and kidnap our people!"
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
The five people let out a sigh when they heard what he said. Brian made a confused expression as he didn't expect that. Bunny girl speaks to clear his confusion.
"You have been traveling for a long time... Let me tell you this, the elves can't use magic anymore. Now tell us the truth!"
Shocked, Brian stayed quiet... So the elves lost their magic? No wonder I've never seen them use it before. Waiting for an answer from Brian, the five people dressed in black gave a serious glare at him. This could be a chance so...
"I can tell you the story from my master."
Their attention was back onto Barbra, man; they really let their guard down ignoring her. Do they not see her as a threat? The bull guy from the group of five suddenly laughed.
"Have you even tried saving your people yourself? Were you really scared by this weak fairy's light?"
Saying that with an arrogant smile, he walked towards the barrier stopping in front of it, he made a fist sending a light punch towards it. A few other people in the large group were giggling and grinning then... Klang! The bull guy made a shocked expression when his punch was suddenly stopped by the barrier. Everyone saw it; they saw the barrier block his punch. Seeing that, Barbra spoke once more.
"Are you going to listen to master now?"
It seems they are beginning to take her seriously now. The maybe elf after giving a wary look at Barbra for a while asked...
"... Who is your master?"
Smiling then pointing to my body, Barba answered...
"My master is the divine tree."
... There was silence. I don't know why but the bull guy backed away from the barrier and no one talked. Barbra was a bit estranged by it too, her smile was starting to crack. After some time passed, the maybe elf kneeled down and said.
"We are sorry if we offended you pact maker."
Following him, everyone else quickly kneeled while some fumbled. The bird men were still frozen from this turn of events. The maybe elf made a stern face saying to Brian...
"Hurry up and apologize! This is a pact maker with such a large magic tree!"
He lowered his voice for that last part, but I still heard him. Is me being this large threatening... yeah it probably is. As they couldn't understand what happened, they kneeled as he commanded while shaking. All of the bird men including Brian made a realization from the maybe elf's last sentence and frantically apologized to Barbra.
""We'~e ~orry p~~t ma~er~!""
Their voices were out of sync so it couldn't be heard clearly. All of their bodies were shaking from fear? Wow, this is... wow... I've never seen this much people with pale faces full of fear, especially when it's because of me! Right, I have to go through the plan with Barbra...
"Master will forgive you all but... those 12 bird men must leave."
Yes, that was what I was going to do. Those 12 bird men went too far in attacking their own people and that nasty smile... I don't believe they can live here peacefully anymore. I won't go as far as to kill them, they just need to leave. The 12 bird men who heard what Barbra said stiffened. It’s their own fault they will lose this new home... Barbra continued her words.
"Everyone can live on master's land, but violence is not permitted. As long as you live peacefully, you will get to live on master's land."
Turning their heads and taking in the sight, they saw the plenty of trees, the flowers, the giant lake, and the fruits. There didn't seem to be a need for discussion after that since everyone nodded rapidly. The 12 bird men also looked around my domain seeing all the things they were going to lose, remorse floated onto their faces. I wonder if now that they were losing it, they knew how good it was. Brian and the other bird men seemed to want to say something, but they received a lot of hateful glares from the large group. Intimidated by them, they slowly flew up giving my domain one last look and sped off into the distance leaving my domain...
"Once again, master welcomes you. The leaders of this group speak your name."
When Barbra said that, the five people dressed in black who were led by Brian twitched, then all said their names.
"I am Courtney of the Hopping tribe"
"I am Drake of the Blood tribe"
"I am Philip of the Light tribe"
"I am Nathan of the Swift tribe"
"I am Riley of the Horn tribe"
They introduced themselves in the order of the bunny girl, silver haired man, maybe elf, cat man, and bull guy. The self-introduction was a little bit robotic, but it seems they were the leaders of this group after all. Their races... I will find out eventually, but for now it's still night out so Barbra told them to find a spot to set up camp temporarily then choose their locations in the morning. All of them went back up and down the hill bringing bags from the carriage, they were all probably magic bags... how much stuff did they bring? Well, Barbra went back inside the town hall and told the elves it was safe so they went back into their own houses after giving me thanks. The barrier around the camp disappeared, but 11 separate barriers were fitted to stay inside of their houses unseen from the outside. I also put one in the town hall where the fainted bird men were in
I am able to stay up forever, but I never know where something may come from suddenly... this is just a precaution. Barbra went back inside of my body to sleep and so after everything settled down, a night of silence passed with my worries not coming true.
