CHAPTER 1
“There that should finally complete my work to get 100% achievements for Simulation World.” [MC] said as he stared at his hard work before he hit the submit button. He clicked the submit button as he got up from his computer to go to bed.
It had been a long day. Getting 100% achievements in Simulation World unlocked a rare perk that would let the player had access to endless mods and cheats to the game. He was the first player to unlock the achievement. He was interested to see what people would say in the morning on the forums.
Simulation World had been an interesting challenge to say the least. The game was an open sandbox world that let the players imagination run wild with making games, designing worlds, and anything one could think of. He had spent years nonstop trying to achieve the 100% goal of achievements. Now that his goal was complete it would be time to find other games to beat.
[MC] finally made it to his bed. He grabbed a watch looking device on his nightstand. He put the device on his wrist and climbed into bed. He laid there thinking of what crazy things he had unlocked with the achievement. I wonder if I get access to the developer files or mods. I’m hoping my Neurodreamer comes up with a crazy dream for me.
He had heard crazy rumors and ideas about what someone could get for 100% competition. He let his mind drift around before he fell asleep as his Neurodreamer turned on but it fizzed out in a shower of sparks…
[MC] could hear voices as his hearing started to pick up noise. He groaned as he rolled thinking to himself. Neighbors must be having a late-night party again. He thought to himself as he tried to drift back to sleep. The noises soon got louder and more distant. Can they see I trying to sleep. Do I need to call the cops again. The voices continued to get louder, and this time had more of a panicked tone to them. For all that is sake… Were the last things [MC] thought before he was blinded by a white light.
[MC] blinked open his eyes as tried to wake up. The first thing that alerted him that something was wrong was the smell of smoke from something burning mixed with blood. UGH. [MC] thought as he began to cough from the smell. The screaming completely made him aware now. He could see people running around screaming. He saw people fiercely fighting it out what looked like monsters he had created in Simulation World.
I honestly must be dreaming since those things look similar to [MC CREATED MONSTERS]. He just yawned at the thought not really carrying thinking it was just a dream. He was broken out of his bored trance from a young woman in priest robes. There were many others behind as they were in some sort of barrier.
“Thank the almighty that worked. We need your help please. I really don’t have much time to explain things. I enacted an emergency summoning. Just please open your status screen to show me you class. You can open it by saying status.” The priestess said.
[MC] just shrugged in response. I haven’t had a vivid dream like this in a long while. I am still curious how Neurodreamer comes up with such vivid dreams. Might as well follow along since I haven’t had ‘being summoned as a hero’ dream in a while.
“Status” [MC] yawned not giving a care in the world as he looked at carnage unfolding around him.
A prompt window appeared in front of him showing his status. He say he had two classes available.
CLASS: CHEATER
DESCRIPTION: CHEATERS CAN APPLY ANY CHEAT WHEN PRESENTED TO THEM
SKILLS: NOT YET LEARNED
CLASS: MODDER
DESCRIPTION: MODDEERS CAN ALTER THE AREA WITH MODIFICATIONS
SKILLS: NOT YET LEARNED
HP: 50/50
[MC] looked at his status screen with amusement. He was also confused about his other stats being N/A.
The priestess reaction was different, however. “These stats are extremely pitiful. We are so doomed.” She looked at him with dismay. She then turned her focus to the others in the large group. “It is time we use the emergency protocol. I am afraid it will wipe out most of the city. We have no choice though. These things have become an issue all over the place. Not in this number though. I will activate our escape to [SAFETY LOCATION].”
The priestess picked up her staff as she chanted two spells. In doing so dropped the barrier as a few guards were holding off some of the mobs. “Judgement Day!” Was the first spell she cast. She then waved for everyone to follow. The guards grew close as the fought off the beasts.
[MC] tried to get close but was pushed back by the guards as the priestess cast her next spell. “Group Emergency Teleport.” That was the last thing [MC] saw of the group as they vanished into a white light.

The beasts eyed [MC] as he looked at them with little concern. Okay, that was weirder than expected. Guess I left the Neurodreamer for RPG dreams on heroic mode again. He strolled to pickup a sword that was nearby to fight the monsters.
He wasn’t sure what exactly to do since his status showed his other stats were N/A besides his class attributes and hit points. He just decided to wing it. With a shrug he lunged at one of the beasts that had slowly encircled him. The sword harmlessly bounced off the monster as it made a counterattack.
This time [MC] was in for a rude awakening. The beast grabbed at his arm where his Neurodreamer was located. The bight tore the wristwatch off of [MC’s] hand. Red hot pain seared into his body as he screamed. He began to bleed from a deep bite mark.
Horror began to set in as he realized he wasn’t dreaming now. The Neurodreamer could never come off in a dream. [MC] began to panic as he ran for his life. The beasts followed him. He needed somewhere to escape too.
A prompt appeared in front of him as ran.
“You have received a minor bleed debuff.”
His HP began to drop off 1 every ten seconds before it stopped after losing 5. His HP was now at 45/50 as he ran for cover. He was quickly losing his breath when another prompt appeared. I can't keep running like this. My body can't take much more of this. If only I could make myself more physically stronger.
CLASS SKILL FOR ‘CHEATER’ UNLOCKED. PASSIVE SKILL. CHEATER CHEATER MR PUMPKIN EATER.
DESCRIPTION: YOUR CHEAT SKILLS CAN BE USED TO BUFF/ MODIFY YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND STATUS. SKILL MUST BE ENTERED USING THE KONAMI CODE.
The following prompt was so unexpected that [MC] came to a stop. Reality sunk back in as he was bitten in the leg by a charging beast. He kicked the beast in the maw causing it to stumble back. He screamed in agony again as he ran with a limp.
“You have suffered from moderate bleed debuff.”
Not knowing what to do. [MC] spotted a ladder to a nearby watchtower. He sprinted while he limped to reach the ladder. The beasts were hot on his heels when he reached the ladder. He climbed the ladder fast, reaching the top in no time. Without thinking he toppled the ladder so the beasts wouldn’t climb after him. By now his HP had dropped to 25/50. The moderate debuff has stopped but he was still losing blood as his HP continued to drop.
The beasts all let out a howl in frustration not before sounding off a low pitch growl before they backed off a bit. Some left the area.
“You are now suffering from confusion.”
[MC] wondered what the message meant when his status screen began to blur in and out. He looked around confused wondering who he was and where he was. He nearly fell off the watchtower from his confusion a few times.
I need to do something. What was that message about a Komani code again? He tried to think straight but the confusion buff was leaving him too confused to think. The debuff soon ended but he was left with another temporary status.
“The beasts have used confusion on you. You cannot be able to use a skill for the rest of the day.”
He quietly dismissed the message for now knowing he needed to stop his HP from dropping. If his HP hit zero. He knew he would die. He wasn’t sure if in the new world he could revive if he died. Not wanting to take any chances. He took a torn banner to bandage his bleeding leg. In theory he hoped it would stop his HP from dropping. After applying the makeshift bandage his HP stopped dropping. He felt weak and tired. His total health was now a 5/50.
[MC] sat there looking at the message with a heavy sigh. He tried to activate his cheat skill but was denied access to the skill. He just sighed as he looked across the burning city. He took in more of the sites knowing this would be the place where he would most likely die. He heard people screaming and fighting all throughout the city with the beasts.
He sat there a while thinking of home and other things before remembering the priestess had casted a spell called ‘Judgement Day’. Thinking of the skill brought up a new notification.
CLASS SKILL ‘MODDER’ UNLOCKED: PASSIVE SKILL: GARY’S MOD: THIS SKILL CAN LET A PLAYER CHANGE THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT WHEN NEEDED. PLAYER MUST MANUALLY TYPE CODE TO WORK.
He looked at the message with curiosity as he opened the menu tab to use.
WORLD MODIFIERS AVAILABLE:
ACTIVATE_CURRENT_ENVIROMENT_SKILLS: LET’S A PLAYER SEE THE DESCRIPTION OF A SKILL AND HOW IT WORKS.
ACTIVATE_ENVIROMENT_SKILL_TIMER: LET’S A PLAYER SEE A SKILLS COUNTDOWN TIME.
[MC] was unsure what that meant. He pulled up a keyboard with a terminal. He typed in the command. A new prompt window appeared before him.
“Judgement Day” is a skill that obliterates everything in a certain area. When casted it has a countdown timer of 20 minutes before activating. Time until Judgement Day: 1:00
[MC] looked at the timer in horror. I have only one minute to figure out how to stop that before I am done for…
[MC] was in a panic as he tried to figure out what to do. He couldn’t activate the ‘CHEATER’ skill since it was on a lock debuff.
I need some way to get out of here. He frantically tried to think of teleporting himself out or away. He kept getting denied messages for anything he tried for himself. He realized if he couldn’t escape then maybe he could alter the ‘Judgement Day’ spell to kill just the monsters only.
His thought determination was rewarded.
ACTIVATE_ACTIVE_SKILL_MODIFIER: LET’S THE MODDER ALTER AN ACTIVE SKILL’S ABILITY.
[MC] barely made the changes in time for the monsters to be obliterated. He didn’t have time for the surrounding environment either. He quickly made sure that the residents would not be annihilated in the process.
The time of Judgement Day finally hit zero as a big halo appeared over the city. It began to shoot out radiant beams of light. He watched in awe and horror as blinding light from ‘Judgement Day’ began to obliterate the monsters and the buildings. He winced as he watched an entire house was instantly vaporized. I hope no one was in there, he thought.
He could hear the howls of the beasts dying as they were snuffed out by the light. [MC] was so caught up in the display that he didn’t notice some of the beasts were still by the watchtower he was trapped on. He was alerted when one of the beasts yelped in panic. Which was followed by the rest. By then he realized it was too late as he watched a beam hurtle straight for him. It smashed into the tower as it obliterated the structure, monsters, and all. That was the last thing he saw before blacking out from the fall…
