Jonas Dreadstone
Jonas is, of course, our intrepid hero and the protagonist of this story. In the first chapter, Jonas describes his hair as having "grey streaks" in it and notes that his body was covered in scars. I tried to show what I could of that here, but of course, since I was using a picrew generator, there were some limitations. This picture shows Jonas in the middle of the story, a bit before the party with Char and Lavin. Here, he's shaved and while he's got a ratty coat on, he's not in a terrible mood, and his eyes have a bit more life in them than they did before.
Jonas Dreadstone, our intrepid hero. Though he looks to be in his mid to late 30s, he's actually in his 50s, kept young by the Hunter's Mark. Some signs of his age do show, though, notably the greying of his hair. [https://i.imgur.com/tXmwZbq.png]
Xico Sali
Xico Sali is the Armádan landlady who lives with Jonas. In the first chapter, Jonas says she has "long, red hair" and "toffee" colored skin. He also calls her beautiful, though I don't think Jonas has ever met a woman he doesn't find attractive. In my first draft of the story, which I almost completely scrapped because I kind of hated it, Xico was going to serve a much more minor role, basically just acting as a calm center for Jonas to return to after a crazy day. I didn't really like that, so I expanded her role in the story.

Elaine Char
Elaine is Jonas' coworker and boss, as well as a fellow Hunter. They served together for a couple of years, a long time ago, before she got promoted and Jonas didn't. Elaine, in general, is a lot more politically and people-oriented than Jonas, which is why she got promotions and he stayed in the field for over thirty years. She's also the one behind his reassignment to the Capital.
Elaine is younger than Jonas and when she was a fresh-faced Hunter, looked up to him. She would deny that she still does, but who knows? Certainly not me, the author. Ha ha...
In the original version of Hunted, before it even had the name 'Hunted,' Char was older than Jonas by a decade or two. In that original version, her character was a lot more like Colonel Bridges, who I mostly scrapped from the story. She was basically a hard-ass boss and dispatcher, the police chief for Jonas' rogue cop persona. Obviously, I moved away from that.
