Jonas Dreadstone is on the wrong end of fifty and has been on the frontline of fighting monsters for most of his life.  Recently, he was recalled from the field back to the Capital, where he thinks he'll be eased into retirement with a cushy desk job.  However, for him, the fighting is never over. As two people are massacred by something (or things) that are beyond human, Jonas is called in to investigate.  Follow him as he falls headfirst into a web of lies, deception, and danger. ---------------------------------------------------------- Hunted is a love letter to many of the fantasy books that I loved growing up and that I still love.  It is set in a semi-Victorian era world, centering around the Capital, the largest city in the world. What this story has:- Sword & Sorcery (though with far more swords)- Swashbuckling action- Urban Fantasy- A mildly stupid protagonist What this story doesn't have:- Elves (yet)- LitRPG elements or anything system-related- Overwhelming amounts of tragedy- Anything AI!  No AI art, writing, etc.
