Kaber watched the familiar figure, Gyll now possessed by a demon called Phyl get closer to him, Kaber knew it wasn't Gyll anymore, he had no proof, in fact, he was shot out of the cave before the possession meaning he didn't see Phyl talk to MI, but he knew.
Kaber stood up, grabbing the small axe he had strapped to his back and switching to a defensive stance.
Mi stood there, a blank look as always, however behind those empty eyes churned an abyss of confusion. What should she do? She can't kill Gyll, She doesn't want to let Kaber die. What will happen after this?
These questions built up before a solution sprouted in her mind.
"PHYL!" Mi called out, charging towards him, Phyl turned around to face Mi with a grin, he expected to see her wielding that ever familiar mace, but instead, she ran at him empty-handed,
For just a moment a look of confusion filled Gyll's face, this was quickly replaced by the same sadistic grin, "I see what you're planning!" Phyl taunted.
"You want to kick me out of my vessel!" Phyll moved his hand at an inhuman speed, grabbing me by the head and throwing her against the side of the ravine, Mi's body was imprinted in the hard rock, splintering it in the process.
"MI!" Kaber called out throwing his axe at Gyll who simply caught it with his hand mid-flight. Kaber gasped at seeing this.
Phyl chuckled, turning back to face Mi who was emanating a bright yellow glow, sparks filled the air, the vibrations resonated in every hollow organ they had, the light surely would have blinded Gyll was it not for Phyl's defensive reflexed which made him leap back, covering his eyes with his arm.

Mi released the spell, shooting the long beam of light into the sky.
Kaber watched this unfold breathlessly, now it was his turn to be filled with doubt, confusion and fear, it was at this point that he understood that despite his years of training and impressive physique, the demons were like forces of nature, incomprehensible.
"You missed!" Phyl laughed,
"Why don't you understand I'm doing this for your own good?" Phyl asked stepping back towards Mi.
Mi slumped back to the ground, staring at Phyl as he drew near.
Phyl plunged his glowing, red fist into Mi's face, this shook the entire ravine, as he pulled back his fist, a single drop of blood slowly rolled out of Mi's mouth.
"That was a weak hit," Mi said staring at Gyll blankly.
Phyl growled, "That bastard is resisting me..." Phyl said through gritted teeth.
Phyll pulled his fist away then plunged it into his stomach. A mix of the blood and vomit pooled on the mud floor as Gyll's eyes roll back into the back of his head from the pain, A grin appeared on his face, "Take that you bastard." Phyl said through gasps.
Phyl's head was struck with a rock, as he turned to see the culprit he confirmed it was, in fact, Kaber, he rushed towards Phyl.
He wasn't fearless, he wasn't a hero who could wrestle a dragon to death, and he knew he didn't stand a chance, and despite a thousand question appearing, he only knew one answer,
"I MUST FIGHT!" Kaber called out holding the maniacally laughing Phyl in a chokehold.
"AND YOU BETTER NOT GIVE UP EITHER, HUMAN!" Kaber called out to Gyll.
"How annoying..." Phyl said, now back to his calm self, with a single move, Phyl dislocated his arm and swing it behind himself, not only striking Kaber but also breaking through his leathery skin, although not deeply.
A bright light came from behind Phyl again, "You won't get me this time ei-" Phyl began to say before he realised who he turned to face exactly.
It was another child like figure, but this one had massive, snow white wings, and a spear to his throat.
"Phyl." The figure said tauntingly with a closed-eyed smile.
For the first time in this battle, Phyl felt fear.
