This chapter is a tad longer.

One small thing though. I'm able to give you one chapter per day right now because I don't have any test coming right now. As such I don't have to study as much as I normally would.

At some point when we get into the testing weeks I won't be able to post so frequently.

I hope you guys understand that ^^

But I'm trying to write a puffer (I still have around 4 chapters I could post but I keep them so I can use them in that kind of situation).

About one week ago I had been able to inject my own cells into each and every one of the other five members. In theory I could kill every one of them in a matter of seconds. But that was not what I wanted. I only wished to extract revenge. First on the raiders.... I knew who Lane was... I knew what we were being trained to be... Heroes. Saviors of humanity. These kind of things. Together with the rest of the raiders we would help the world become a better place..... utter bullshit.

I've already seen enough of the Raiders so called values. Everyone that committed a crime in their eyes should be sentenced to either death or life imprisonment.

Their way of doing things is regarded as the only and best way to do things.

While I agree that some espers in this world are indeed evil I do not consider teenagers that actually do not do anything wrong except being espers evil.

Apparently the leaders of the raiders think that every esper except the ones loyal to them should be controlled so that they cannot use their powers at all.

I look around the room. All six of us where assembled. The complex we had been trained was actually a school for "special children"... meaning espers.

The raiders used this school as headquarters of sorts and although only a small amount of people knew about this we were told to never talk about anything concerning that matter.

Officially this was a school founded by the military as most schools were. But in this case the one overlooking the students - the headmaster named Mr. Polinsk - had secretly gone against the whole military organization when he found out about his daughter Lane being a potential lv 4 esper.

To cut a long story short he loved his daughter so much that he faked hundreds of papers making her into a [lowest lv 3].

He also granted her the wish to be a super hero and with that the raiders were born.

She's his little princess.

I fucking hate her....But I have a plan...

I laugh to myself while smiling.

"Alex? Why are you laughing like that? It's kinda creepy...."

hmmm? I turn my head to the voice.

It's Velvet, he kinda is the one I like the most out of all of the five....

Which doesn't mean a lot to be honest. it's not who I like, but who I do not hate the most.

It's like comparing being rubbed off with a rasp to being rubbed off with sandpaper...

If you have to choose you will rather do the latter.

"Just ignore me Vel. I was just thinking about funny stuff."

"Funny?..... It looked like you thought about something really evil.... It was creepy..."

"Don't worry about it Vel. No seriously it's nothing to fuss about. More importantly where is Lane? I mean we've been waiting for 10 minutes now, didn't she want to be here already?"

"You're probably right.... She should already be here but don't worry about her, she'll get here eventually. And that's to be expected, she's probably pretty busy with organizational stuff.... She is our leader after all."

Che, should've known he would only talk about her good side.. he kind of thinks of her as a Goddess of sorts. It's actually really annoying.

That's why I can only kind of stand him. His personality is acceptable in my book, but that special way of thinking makes him so... unlikable.

Only by me though. The others pretty much agree on one thing....

Lane is soooo good. So disciplined, so awesome..... I hate it, I don't know how they can agree with her view on life....

che.... I'm fretting way too much over this.

"Whatever Vel. You're probably right. She'll get here eventually.".... hopefully.

The other four are on the other side of the room talking about stuff. I don't really care to be honest.

Well, the reason they're so far away is still the stench coming from me... although I've turned it down considerably.

Haaa, I really would want some food right now... I miss the burgers I always ate back in Jamestown.

I hear the door opening.

Speaking of the devil.

I turn toward the person... or should I say people walking through the doorframe.

Lane and her "Doc"... He was the guy that reset me over a year ago... I still haven't figured out what kind of power he really possesses...but he's undeniably strong. Probably higher tier lv 3... But that's only my guess.

He always wears a long lab coat that makes him look like a scientist coming from work. Not sure if he even has a real doctor title... Probably not though.

Che and then there's Lane...

Today she's wearing jeans and a white top. She has her pink hair tied back so that it doesn't disrupt her vision.

John looks towards her with admiration.

Karif too.

Rachel simply envies her a bit I think. But she too is looking up to her.

Well, I think Mikael has a crush on her... I'm not that sure to be honest, but I don't like it anyways. Well, should she ever fall for him.. kekek, then I would have a nice point to start my revenge from.

Sadly though I don't think that will happen anytime soon. She doesn't seem interested in that kind of relationship at the moment.

And then there's Velvet. Like I said, she's the ultimate Goddess in his world. There is nobody else but her he will listen too.

And considering what kind of power he has it would be bad to not be careful of that blind devotion.

Haaa... me? I just look around trying to fit in with the looks they're giving her and the doc.

Lane musters us.

"Thanks for coming you six. As you all know you'll be part of the raiders. To be specific together with me and you'll form a third team.

Right now. is coming over from the UK. He was part of our second team stationed there. He's a [high tier] lv 3 so he will be lower than most of you, but respect him, he has more experience than any of you.

The first team is still stationed in Japan. As of now, America will be under our watch. I'll be the team leader and the second in command.

You'll follow our orders.

Me and the other two team leaders will come into contact with each other once in a while.

If an emergency happens during that time will take over.

Understood?"

She looks at all of us.

Six pairs of eyes look back at her and six mouths answer in union.

"Yes understood."

"Aside from that I'm sure we'll get to befriend each other. You've all pretty much lived with each other for the last year so you should get along. Doc will be responsible for any health issues.

I raise my hand and she turns around and smiles at me...

I swallow down my rage and simply smile back.

"We don't know this you're talking of... I find it hard to follow the orders of someone I've never met before."

I can hear three gasps from my other "colleagues" as they probably did not think anyone would talk back at their idol.

Lane though only looks at me while probably considering her answer.

" is one of our elder members. He's a nice guy, all you need to know about him is that I and the other team leaders trust him... Although it wouldn't matter if they didn't. The important thing is that I trust him. And you can talk to him in private and ask him stuff when he gets here. Anything else?"

she looks around but I still have another question... that honestly is just another part of my plan...

"Have there been any news on the maiden?"

silence. Everyone freezes and looks at me for asking about Lanes most hated enemy.

I had to gather some intel about the maiden before devising my plan.

As far as most knew the maiden was in some way related by blood to Lane. Either a cousin, aunt or something in that direction.

When her father made the fake papers for Lane the maiden apparently wanted to train Lane herself....

She seemed quite obsessed with her because they seem to have the same amount of power....

or something along those lines. Basically the maiden kept following and psychologically torturing Lane by killing off her friends.

It was actually quite the secret but I tortured someone myself to get answers about the maiden...

They eventually forgave me because they think that I think the maiden was the one that killed Zoe. If only they knew what's about to come to them.

"No, there have not been any news. Are you still that keen on revenge Alex? Revenge will not bring back the dead, revenge will not save Z-"

"DO NOT SAY THAT NAME!!!"

I snap back at her.

everyone is taken aback this time.

"Lane... DO...NOT...SAY...THAT...NAME!  please"

My eyes start to feel teary as various feelings swell up inside of me.

Lane looks at me in pity.

"It's ok Alex but revenge will not bring her back."

"I do not care. I will be one of your heroes as long as you don't take this away from me."

I played my part well. My inner self is smiling at my performing skills. They're fooled completely that I'm just after revenge when asking about the maiden....

Well.. I am actually after her, but not because of revenge.

Still showing pity in her eyes Lane puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Ok, I understand. Then use your powers to help us for the good cause. We will deliver justice upon the maiden soon enough. We will find her."

Kukukukukukuku.

The feeling of foolishness. I love it.

I nod my head in apparent thankfulness.

"Well then, I guess that's it? Now, if there are actually no questions left anymore then lets tell you about what we shall be monitoring in the US"

She looks around. All shake their heads while I simply slouch down onto a couch to calm down.

"Ok. As you all know, I'm the head leader of the raiders in total, but we've always had two teams with two team leaders. One of them was me. As I have said before, we will be the foundation of a third team.

All of you will also divided into pairs and send to different locations. This school will still act as headquarters, so me and Karif will be stationed here. The surrounding area will be looked after by us. Me and will look out for movement of and the such. Should we ever find any members all of you will be assembled to handle the situation.

The Pairs are as follows:

I'll be teaming up with Karif as said before,

Rachel, you'll be working with John in the vicinity of Washington DC, we will find a good location for you to stay at.

Velvet? You will be working together with Mikael. Both of you need to focus majorly on your concentration so it will be better for the both of you so you can learn from each other. You two will be responsible for an area around Michigan. We'll probably get you a nice house around Detroit.

And finally, you Alex will be teaming up with personally. We think this is the best solution since he is the most probably to cope with the stench you sometimes put out. Also he will receive important information first, meaning you'll be able to react quicker since you are probably the most disciplined one of you six.

already knows where you'll be going. New York. He has an underground network out there that he can use to his advantage... Well that and he's strong around those parts.

Also don't think you can just all do whatever you want to. We have an obligation to shut down esper warfare and criminal usage.

Both me and will look over recent cases around those areas about esper activity. If we find something we will immediately inform you so you can look after what it is.

It could be anything from just a student pretending to fit in or an actual agent of an organization planning something. Beware of the latter, should you ever find out anything of that sort then instantly retreat and report back to everyone else so we can figure out a plan.

Should any of you get injured badly, the doc always can get to the different locations fairly quickly. So don't worry about getting healed. Although I think with most of you that really won't be the case.

I am happy that we could find all of you guys."

She smiles at all of us.

"I'm proud to have so many strong espers thinking the same way as me"

DISGUSTING, I could puke.

"Thank you for fighting with the raiders. We will not disappoint you and I doubt you will disappoint us.

That is all for now"

She looks around again now with a more cooled facial expression.

"You can have a few days off until get here. It'll probably be around 2 days. When he gets here all of you will be send off to their respective Location. Good luck and rest a bit."

With that she turns around and leaves us to ourselves.

The doc follows her two steps behind her.

The moment both of them walk out of the room Velvet hits me on the back of my head lightly.

I'm about to snap back at him when he interrupts me.

"That was really dangerous Alexandra, what if she would have gotten angry at you for that? I mean she still is the most powerful being in the US, and probably one of the top 5 in the world."

Pfft

"She needs us, I just want my revenge. Please don't act as if you know stuff about me, you don't. And there are still people in the US that are probably on par with her. We just have not found them yet. Now if you excuse me, I'll go back to training. I still need to work on some stuff."

Turning away from the five of them I simply walk out of the room and head towards our- I should probably say "teams"- training chamber.

I guess I'll really do nothing but train and watch some tv until gets here.

Better than nothing I guess.
