Anyi stood close to the Hobgoblin, in a perilous position where even a sweeping blow from the monster could cause fatal injuries, rendering him immobile.
As anticipated, the Hobgoblin reacted swiftly, swinging its club directly at Anyi.
In this dire moment, under everyone's horrified gaze, Anyi swiftly lowered his waist and rolled towards the Hobgoblin's feet.
The club and the swinging arm completely missed Anyi. Seizing this opportunity, Anyi stabbed his sword into the gap between the Hobgoblin's foot bones. He then rolled violently, taking a few steps back, quickly picking up two swords from the ground and holding them in both hands.
Everyone, including Assel, was stunned. They were experienced fighters and knew that if they were in Anyi's position, reacting in time to dodge the attack would have been impossible. Yet Anyi managed to dodge it successfully.
It was as if he had anticipated the Hobgoblin's sideways strike and had already planned his evasion.
His movements were incredibly rapid, so swift that most people could not discern what was happening until suddenly, the Hobgoblin's leg was stabbed by Anyi's sword.
"Roar --!!" The Hobgoblin let out a thunderous roar.
Although the stab to its leg did not cause significant damage, it was enough to infuriate the monster, like being bitten by an 'ant.'
The Hobgoblin, now on all fours, hurried towards Anyi, its massive club sweeping down the ground with exceptional speed.
Anyi was not far away and would soon be hit.
At that instant, all eyes were on Anyi as he took out something and threw it at the Hobgoblin's head. The Hobgoblin, noticing something flying towards it, immediately closed its eyes. Two rocks hit its eyelids harmlessly, causing it to instinctively open its eyes again.
"Poof!"
As soon as its eyes opened, two flying knives were thrust directly into them.
"Grahhh --!!" The Hobgoblin roared in pain as it immediately lost its sight.
How could it have known that there would be flying knives after the rocks? It couldn't have anticipated that a human could accurately throw them into its eyes in such a short span of time!
Swiftly, Anyi initiated another charge.
He sheathed his swords at his waist, picked up a half-body shield and a single-handed sword, and raced toward the Hobgoblin once more.
Though the Hobgoblin's sense of smell and hearing remained intact, it started swinging its club wildly to prevent Anyi from drawing closer.

"Bang!"
The Hobgoblin felt it hit something and immediately applied more force, sending it flying. It was the shield Anyi was holding. Though his hand trembled from the impact, he seized the momentary pause in the Hobgoblin's attack to stab his sword into its armpit. However, it was still not enough to incapacitate the beast.
Anyi's position became more perilous than ever. He stood right in front of the Hobgoblin. If he moved left, right, or retreated, the Hobgoblin's random attacks could easily hit him.
"We need to take action!" Assel yelled.
At this point, if they don't attract the Hobgoblin's attention, Anyi will easily die! But before they could act, it was too late.
The Hobgoblin had temporarily detected Anyi's position and managed to capture him from the ground with one hand. In the next moment, the Hobgoblin would eat Anyi! In this situation, he indeed had no possibility of evading.
"Poof!" The tip of a sword from the Hobgoblin's lower jaw suddenly plunged directly into its mouth, the blade piercing the tip of its tongue. Unconsciously, the Hobgoblin threw Anyi away.
"Boom!" Anyi was thrown onto the straw roof of a village house and smashed into a room.
Assel and the others hurriedly rushed into the house. "Anyi!" As soon as they entered, they saw Anyi preparing to move out.
"Are you alright?" Assel exclaimed in a hurry.
"No problem." Anyi turned his head, pointing to the bed that had cushioned his fall. "I've had good fortune! I happened to land on the bed," Anyi explained, though he felt a little pain in his chest and abdomen. His body, just a normal person's, couldn't withstand such a strong attack.
The good fortune he spoke of was not entirely true.
From the beginning, everything had been calculated. The entire square, every sword's location on the ground, the level of each attack, and the effects they would yield were all part of his plan. Even his landing spot was calculated. No matter the angle he was thrown from, he would always fall in the same area, avoiding any extremely fatal damages.
The fight wasn't dependent on luck; Anyi didn't have the luxury to gamble with his life.
He was incredibly familiar with Goblins, knowing all their behavior patterns, propensities, and ingrained mechanics.
In a one-on-one fight in a cramped venue, his chances of success wouldn't be great. However, thanks to the environment and his early setup, fulfilling this task was not difficult for him at all.
Anyi stepped out, glancing at the Hobgoblin. It had halted its attack, as if trying to extract the sword impaled in its lower jaw. After a few attempts, it finally managed to pull it out and threw it to the side.
"Can we help?" a monster hunter requested.
It was clear now that the most powerful person present was neither Assel nor the monster hunters but this young man who had just turned eighteen.
"It is not required for you to do anything. In fact, you should have evacuated the villagers rather than approach me," Anyi replied calmly, picking up a heavy two-handed sword from the ground.
"Hmm, I have two possibilities to finish it off. I can use my short sword to pierce through its eyes into the brain or use this long sword to pierce through the chest and into the heart. I promise to settle the matter within half a minute. Your sole objective is to refrain from approaching closely to ensure that it cannot instantaneously reconfigure its location to strike," Anyi explained.
"Use this sword," Assel said, passing a weapon to Anyi. "This is the most exceptional sword in the entire village. Utilize it to execute the monster!"
Anyi glanced at Assel, then responded with a nod before taking the sword. "Very well, father."
The group quickly left, hiding at a relatively safe distance. Although Anyi had told them to evacuate the villagers, they stayed behind to ensure nothing happened to him.
Once again, the Hobgoblin rushed towards Anyi, its club swinging wildly on both sides.
Anyi clenched his sword, staring intently at the Hobgoblin.
'Just needs... twenty more seconds!'
