I wake from my long my long slumber and notice the huge bump that has formed on the back of my head. That evil lady... She didn't even bother to move my unconscious body from the alleyway.
I rise and observe my surroundings, how long was I out for? It's already nighttime, they must be long gone by now. There is only one person I can turn to for help in this town.. Sadly. I sprint toward the ruined church on the edge of town.
"Ifoik I need your help now! I refuse to take no for an answer on this one." I yell.
"What has you so panicked child?" Ifoik said.
"Tiw has been taken by some Theresa of Shadow I need to save him." I pant.
"Her, huh. Listen. Give it up, right now you stand no chance against her and will likely lose your life if you confront her again. From your wounds, you must know this firsthand right?" I slam my fist into the ground out of rage. How can I be so useless? I came to this place to be a hero. "Calm down all is not lost yet. Tell me exactly what happened child." I explain to her the whole ordeal with Theresa. "I see, she is probably planning to forcibly remove the pact I formed Tiw. This is a big problem because you cannot form a pact with a god twice. This ritual takes three weeks to prepare so we still have some time to deal with this mess." She says finally serious.
"What should I do?"
"Isn't it obvious? You have three weeks to surpass her, Mr Hero. Of course, you going to have my help." That's strange normally this goddess doesn't want to do anything. What's with this sudden change in heart? "First of all do even know why you lost the fight?"
"It was because I did not have enough strength to defeat her." I avert my eyes in shame.
"That answer is only half right, you lost because of lack of experience, you have only been fighting monster so, it makes sense that you would struggle against an intelligent opponent. I mean firing off an unfocused energy blast was probably one of the dumbest things you could have done in that fight."
"Oh, so that is what happened to my attack, maybe the situation isn't as hopeless as I first thought."

"You fool! You cannot take your opponent lightly what you saw was only a fraction of her full power. You are going to have to spend every minute training from now on to even stand a chance." Okay. Of all times, why did she have to be serious now?! Oh... Well.
"First of all I will teach you strengthening magic, give me your hand." I do as she says and I give her my hand, a light emerges from her as the spell strengthen body (weak) appears in my status box.
"Only one spell huh."
"What? That's possible? Why didn't you explain this to me before?" I raise an eyebrow. Geez. Just how lazy was she?
"You were not ready to put this information into practice before. I did not want you to try something reckless without proper training first." I guess that makes sense... Darn, she knows me too well, I definitely would have tried to create some crazy spell if I knew this from the beginning.
"I am ready to begin my training with you!" I exclaim.
"Oh, did you think I was going to be the one training you? Too bad, I have already sent word to a former member of my faith, as a favour to me he will train you. He will arrive tomorrow afternoon." Gulping, I ask about this man.
"What is he like?"
"You will have to wait to find out!" I don't like the sound of that. What does this goddess have in store for me?
I spend all night practising channelling magic through my sword, but nothing seems to be working... Is there some kind of trick to it?
Before I know it the sun rises and light shines through the holes of the church. I prepare for my training by eating a hefty breakfast and stretching. I am currently sitting outside the church waiting. When is this guy going to show up? This boredom is eating away at me. After a few more hours of waiting, I see a figure approaching from the distance. His appearance is hard to make out most of his body is covered in bandages and his face is covered with a black hood.
"Are you the one who's going to train me?" I question.
"Depends are you the newbie, taken in by Ifoik." So he is the one.
"I am, and I have a name, by the way, it's Fayiz."
"Nice to meet you Fayiz, I am Jax, your new tutor. Welcome to Hell." A smirk graces both of our lips.
"Lots of confidence I see let's see if you are able to say the same after today. Follow me." He leads me to an open plain not too far out from the church and pulls out a dagger. "I want to test your skills, come at me."
"Do not blame me for whatever happens!" I charge at him and swing my blade at his head, but he manages to avoid every blow. Anger takes over me as I go in with a big swing.
"You are wide-open." He skillfully avoids the blade and knocks the sword out of my hand. "You form is too sloppy your not in tune with your sword at all too much that is why you lost. Do not fret by the end of my program you will have much better control of your powers." I have a feeling that 'Jax' isn't lying.
