I feel terrible everything around me is spinning. My vision is starting to fade from all pain. This is worse than anything I have ever experienced in my life even in my previous world. Although this pain was caused directly by Iria, I feel no anger just disappointment in myself. I failed to live up my ideals and I am just going to die here without demonstrating the slightest bit of heroism. What I disappointment I am, I do not want it to end like this. I want to live. My sword begins to glow as if it is responding to my desires. A white light blinds me as I look around I notice that the scenery had been altered greatly. I no longer reside in the deadly forest, but instead, I appear to be in some sort of a simple house complete with all white furniture. I soon notice that I am not alone. A white figure draped in a white dress is sitting in the corner beckoning me. I heed her command and approach her cautiously. When I get within a few paces of her I finally decide to break the silence.
"Where am I and who are you?"
"I am the ghost of Christmas past. Just kidding. I am the charismatic spirit that dwells in your holy sword. This place is a mental landscape created by you, basically, it is the inside of your mind."
"How do I get out of here I am kinda about to die outside."
"Yeah, I am the one who is going to solve that problem for you teehee."
"HOW?!"
"It is quite simple actually, the holy sword you hold gains its power from your desire. The stronger the desire the more power you get. A few seconds ago your desire to keep living was pretty strong so you should be able to use the sword. See you later boy."
"WAI--."
My voice is completely cut off as the scenery around me rapidly changes. I am back to facing the demonic bear, but things are different than before. I am brimming with confidence and the pain is completely gone. The letter in my sword begins to glow blue as my body is filled with a strength I have never felt before. The enraged bear swung its nasty claw only to find that it is only striking the air. Woah I am much faster than before, it feels great. Instead of getting discouraged the attacks again even faster than before. I parry attack after attack but, this bear is a skilled killer that leaves no opening for me. This sword has to do more strengthen me, I try to use the swords overflowing energy to attack but, nothing seems to come out. Am I doing this wrong?

"You fool you have to name the attack before you."
What that is such a stupid requirement to wield the true power of the sword. Ugh, what should I call this attack, it has to be something cool like a hero would say. Wait this is no time to think over something so stupid I am about to get all sliced up by this bear. I scream at the top my lungs.
"DEATH TO EVIL"
A blue light explodes from my sword and as I swing it the light expands slicing the bear. A nasty gash appears where the light touched the bear. It is still standing even after my super flashy attack. I charge at the bear as fast as I can with killer intent. The bear is too weak to move out of the way before my sword finds itself in the bear's heart. Rest in Peace. Thank god that fight it over it seems like every muscle in my body is aching as I go over to examine the bear's corpse, I use my sword to cut free the core and the bears claws. Upon absorbing the core my level shot up to 10. Wow, that bear must have been a boss monster or something to drop this much xp. I drag my half-dead body all the way back to town and barely manage to arrive at the run down church before collapsing on the hard stone floor. I by the time I awaken it is already bright outside. My goddess is leaning over me staring into my eyes.
"What happened to you, child?"
"I got into a little bit of a tough fight. Anyways you got a lot of explaining to do me!"
"Huh, whatever could you mean."
"Do not play dumb with me, I was attacked by someone who saw you as an evil god, why?"
"You only need to know that I am greatly hated by the people of this world, the reason is truly unjust, it is too soon for you to hear. Your experience in this world is very low, so it is impossible for you to comprehend."
Wow, she was visibly shaking and a noticed a tear forming along her eyelid. I decide to change the subject to avoid damaging the goddess's mood even further.
"I noticed someone using magic earlier is it possible for me for me to do the same?"
"I guess I forgot to explain the concept of magic to you. The types of magic that someone can use correspond to god they are contracted with. Since you are contracted to a goddess of wisdom, you will be unable to use any sort of offensive magic."
"What can I do then."
"I can teach you to use strengthening, binding, and healing magic. It will take some time to learn but, magic's potential is unlimited."
I really want to learn magic now, with its power I could have prevented the whole bear ordeal from even happening. Just how air-headed is this goddess to forget to explain something so important to me. It is really unfortunate that I have to be dubious of everyone just because of my goddess's reputation. What exactly did she do?
