Hero? Nope I'm their child
Because I'm grounded I'll learn black magic.

Because I'm grounded I'll learn black magic.

20 Years ago, 6 months after Ragna and Rose wedding.

The town had been built on a grid and no expense spared. The glass stared down from sixth stories house located at the center of the city. The roads were perfect rivers of stone untouched by all but the construction workers. The air was as clean as the countryside. On occasion, a deer would gallop through the streets or a bird alight on the tall magic lamp, but other than that the only noise was the wind. Located precisely between the border of human, dwarf and demon race territory.

"How come from a single house we get a whole city?!!" Said Rose, after she saw the development plan.

"Haha!! I got too worked up, sorry Milady Rose!" Said King Umirfolin.

"Don't just laugh!! Ragna!! Say something!" Yelled Rose at her husband.

"Eh... yeah, we don't know how to run a town, can you give it to someone else?" Said Ragna.

"Don't worry about that Milord, all kingdom already agree to send their best men to help you two. Moreover, see this plantation? it is Range plantation, Lord Ragna favorite fruit."  Said King Umirfolin.

"Eh... Is that so? then... I guess that would be fine, though... we don't want to get involved in any kind of politic activity." Said Ragna while he scratching his head.

"How can that fine?!" Rose grabbed Ragna's collar and violently shook him.

In which Ragna only replied her with a gentle pat and said "Eh... C'mon, we are the only hero that doesn't have anything to do. And they need someone to keep an eye on demon territory, right King Umirfolin?" Ragna gave a glance to the dwarf king.

"Urgh... yes. And sorry for not telling the truth." King Umirfolin apologized by bowing his head.

"Eh... that's fine, though I have my own condition for this."

Now.

No toy, no snack, no magic. Outside the sun was beating down on a perfect summer afternoon, but Raj was laying on the floor admiring the intricate curved pattern that had been combed into the ceiling before he had even been born. The clock ticked on the wall, extending even the seconds, marking the time of his confinement. Being grounded for the whole week with daily lectures and household chores, all for trying to sneak out at night.

Shifting his position from laying to rolling on the floor, "Bored... I'm so bored." Said Raj.

"And whose fault is that?" At the door, Ruby appeared with a bottle of orange liquid in her hand.

It was Rula juice, or for Raj and the other, it also was known as Orange. The bright colored orange lured Raj who hadn't received a snack for two days, he rolled his way to Ruby and hugged her. "Give me that..."

"No, you're grounded." Replied Ruby.

"Just a sip, no just a single drop, pretty please?" Begged Raj with puppy eyes.

"A no is a no..." Ruby pushed Raj away with ease. "And take your book, Mrs. Drowsy is waiting."

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"She's here?! you should say that from the start!" Said Raj.

He dashed away to the second floor. There a woman, already had a wrinkle, with blue skin and three horns at the size of an adult thumb waiting while drinking the tea. "Mrs. Drowsy~~" Shouted Raj.

"Hey, hey, what do you have for today? just for your information I managed to cast Blink two days ago!!" Said Raj. Not long after, Ruby came to the study room and sat next to Raj.

"Oh, about that." Mrs. Drowsy took something out from her Interdimensional Bag and put it on the table. Introduction to fire magic part I, Nature of fire spirit, Basic fire physic, Guide for pyrokinesis part 1 and History of fire. "Lady Rose said after Ruby finishes one book, make sure to train her at the forest." Said Mrs. Drowsy

"*Sigh* ....yeesss." Ruby's shoulder dropped after she saw stacks of thick book, almost as tall as herself.

Meanwhile, Raj moved his legs like an octopus on a bad acid trip, limbs moving according to chaos theory rather than anything a behavioral scientist could explain. His eyes were shining when he saw that many magic books for his sister.

"And as for you." Mrs. Drowsy took out few papers from her bag, a paper that consisted only number and symbol. "Message from Lady Rose. This week, don't teach and let Raj use any kind of magic." Said Mrs. Drowsy.

Now, two depressed siblings studied under the heat of summer, Raj was looking to his dancing finger the whole time, counting the addition and subtraction. While Ruby already dozing when she read the table of contents.

After 30 minutes passed in silence.

"Mrs. Drowsy... I can't take this anymore." Said Rose.

"Mee toooo." Said Raj.

"...Fine, take your book, Ruby, make sure to finish it by the time we arrived at the forest." Said Mrs. Drowsy.

"*Haah...* yes... / Yes!!" Said Ruby and Raj at the same time.

"I said Ruby, not Raj. When we get back, make sure you already finish those question and remember I'll report the result to Lady Rose." Said Mrs. Drowsy.

As the other two left, a boy sat still on a big room, numerous pieces of paper stacked in front of him what accompanied him was only a jug of water, no cookie, no juice, no candy.

".....GRAAH!!! what was the point of doing math?!" Raj threw his assignment, only remembered that his mother would check the result. Shivering of knowing what his mother would do if he didn't finish the assignment, he picked up the paper that scattered around on the floor. Only for him to find Mrs. Drowsy Interdimensional Bag lay down at her chair.

"This is Mrs. Drowsy bag right?" Asked Raj. His hand already reached out toward the brown leather bag. "No, no, no I'll get grounded again if mom finds out."

"But mom isn't here right?" Said Little Raj, with red horn and tail on his mind.

"But what if she comes back when you're opening it?" Said Little Raj with white wings and glowing circle on top of his head. "But... maybe~ if you open it fast enough while keeping an eye at the window you can observe mom position right?" Continued the white-winged Raj.

"Oh, that's a good idea... Wait, wait, wait, don't do that! are you wanted to get grounded for the whole month!" Red horned Raj replied.

".....Ehehe~ just take a peek won't hurt right?" Said Raj to convince himself.

His shorthand grabbed the Interdimensional Bag, carefully opened its knot, he saw nothing except darkness. "...How to use this?" Said Raj.

Raj's put his hand to the black hole and started to ransacking the inside. "....? What's this?" A tubular container, with 10mm in diameter and 50mm in length. Raj turned the container and a red shiny baton came out from the container. "...? This looks like a lollipop." Said Raj. Sniffing it a few times, he found a sweet aroma came out from it, he licked the tip of the red shiny baton and "Blegh! Disgusting."

Continued to ransack the bag, he found a perfume, wallet, and etcetera, until he understood the way Interdimensional Bag worked. "Ehehe~ easy peasy~ let's see, book collection, ah~ found it!!"

What he took away was a book, a black book without a title or author. Raj opened the first few pages and giggling around while reading the book. "Oh~ Is this dark element book? but what kind of letter is this? Well~ whatever better memorize it fast before the other comes back." Raj spoke to himself while he embedded the content of unknown letter and symbol into his memories.
