“Be more cautious!”
“Don’t talk while eating.” Said Rain as she put a spoon of soup in her mouth.
“Gah! Being wary of your surroundings come first!”
“I’ll think about it when you’re not with me, but since you’re here, I’m sure I’ll be safe.”
“Grr, you’re too calm!”
Josef and Rain were in the cafeteria eating lunch. Though the classes starts tomorrow, the cafeteria and other facilities were active. It started a week ago, since most of the students, both new and existing, go to their dorms at that time.
Though there was always a new human student every year, majority of the monsters still let their instincts act first, especially the new students. Right now different races are staring at Rain.
While they were eating, a man with fluffy brown ears and tail, sharp claws and fangs, and muscular body walked to them and smacked their table.
“Yo, it’s been a long time Josef.”
“Che, so you passed the entrance exam.”
“Oi, are you saying I’m stupid? You want me to rip you apart?”
“If resorting to violence every time is not stupid, I don’t know what is.”
“That’s it! I just came here to say hi, but you just had to anger me!” Said the werewolf as his body got bigger, ripping apart his clothes. His face became that of a wolf and his body was covered with fur, though his nether parts was dangling around because he was naked.
Rain thought it was an awful sight so she lifted her tray and went to a different table.
Josef completely forgot about Rain and glared at the werewolf. “You think I’m afraid of you Marco?”
Monsters were ranked by letters, with S being the strongest and F being the weakest, and currently, vampires and werewolves were classified as A class monsters. The two said races were also on bad terms with each other.
The weak monsters went out of the cafeteria, while those who were strong and think they’re strong stayed to watch the clash between a vampire and a werewolf. Rain didn’t care and just ate her food.
Vampires had the upper hand in speed, while werewolves had the upper hand in strength. The fight between the two powerful monsters was constantly changing, there were times when Josef almost won, and there were times when Marco did.
The cafeteria was slowly destroyed because of their fight, and more monsters left, fearing the two’s clash might reach them. Rain bought a second serving of food and stayed on the farthest table from the two.
“If you apologize now, I’ll let you live!” Said Marco.
“Are you blind? I’m winning the battle!” Said Josef.
“Though I hate broccoli, this dish made it taste good.” Said Rain as she ate.
The battle raged on, until one of the teachers showed up and slammed their face to the ground.
“You fools! Look at what you’ve done! You destroyed half the cafeteria!” Said the one eyed teacher.
“He started it!” Said Josef.
“No he did!” Said Marco.
After finishing her food, Rain casually walked to them and said. “Though both were at fault for acting like children, that wolf over there started it.”
“What!? You want to die!?”

“I don’t”
“Y-you filthy human!”
“Watch your mouth!” Said the one eyed teacher as he slammed Marco’s head to the ground again.
“Will Josef be punished? I’m not good with directions so I might get lost if he isn’t with me.”
“Sadly, yes, he did destroy half of the cafeteria, but since he wasn’t the one who started it, he’ll be off with light punishment.”
“So who’ll guide me back to my room?”
The one eyed teacher looked around and soon called a girl with pale white skin, long white hair, and purple eyes. “You, guide this girl to her room.”
“Eh? Why me?”
“Do it and I’ll let you go for freezing the pool.”
“I'll guide her to her room even if it costs me my life.” The girl went closer and held Rain’s hand. “Let’s go!”
The girl dragged her out of the cafeteria and guided her to the dormitory for first years.
As they walked, Rain felt the girl’s cold body temprerature through her hand. “You’re cold”
“Of course I am, have you ever seen a warm snow woman?”
“So you’re a snow woman.”
“Arg, I forgot you’re a human. Since we’re already together, let me introduce myself. I’m Jasmine Rinett, a snow woman.”
“I’m Rain Leonhart.”
“Say Rain, you stayed in the cafeteria earlier, correct?”
“Yes”
“That’s quite brave of you, I mean, although I’m just a B class, the two were still on a different level compared to others of their kind.”
Hearing that, Rain became interested. “They’re not normal?”
“You’re a human so it’s normal that you don’t know about it, but both are the heir to their respective race. Marco is the first son of the werewolf king, so it’s obvious he’d be the next heir. Josef on the other hand is the third son of the vampire lord, but since he was the most talented, he was chosen as the heir.”
“So he wasn’t a simple vampire.”
“You mean Josef? Yeah he’s clearly above the other vampires, though he has a major flaw."
“What?”
“It’s only a rumor, and I don’t know if I should tell you.”
Though her face still remained calm, her eyes were beaming as she said. “Tell me”
“...Don’t tell him I told you about it ok? Promise me.”
“I promise”
“You see, they say Josef doesn’t have the courage to suck blood and even now he still drinks from a blood pack. Pft, isn’t it lame? He, the most talented vampire, still drinks from a blood pack like a baby? Ahahaha”
“So I’m a baby now?” Said Josef who was right behind them.
“Ahahahahahahaha...bye” Said Jasmine, before running away as fast as she could.
“I’ll remember this snow woman!”
“Please forgive me!”
When Jasmine was out of sight, Josef looked at Rain with a slight blush on his face. “I-It’s not true, I don’t drink from blood packs anymore.”
From his reaction alone, Rain realized that he was lying, but didn’t touch the subject and simply said. “Let’s go back to the room.”

Sigh, if I keep this pace, it’ll take long before we get to the first serious arc...
