Inside a limousine was Rain Leonhart, wearing her school uniform; a white shirt under a long-sleeved vest made from blue fabric with a red neck tie, and a blue skirt that covers her from her waist to her knee.
Beside her were two bags, a black leather hand bag for her notes and books, and a blue traveling bag with a feather logo for her clothes.
“We’ve entered the school grounds. You can no longer change your decision.” Said the well dressed middle aged man.
“I have no intentions on changing my decision, didn’t I already say that?” Said Rain as she fixed the glasses covering her sky blue eyes.
“Then I’ll show you my real form.”
“Real what?”
The well dressed man’s skin grew dark scales and his face became lizard like. “I’m your math teacher, and I’m also a Dragonewt.”
Though surprised, Rain showed calmness as she stared at the monster in front of her.
“I expected a more exaggerated expression from you, have you seen a Dragonewt before?”
“No, this is the first.”
“You could even talk back without fear, quite an interesting lady. It usually takes a few months to make a human accustomed to seeing us, but it seems that’s not the case with you. “
“Though I did not expect that, I did guess that you would show something that would surprise me, you did tell me I can’t go back once I enter academy.”
“Interesting, really interesting” Said the Dragonewt as he returned to his human form. “I’m sure you’ll fit in easily in sky academy.”
They passed through three gates which were heavily guarded, and after the fourth gate, Rain saw the school facilities, including different monsters that didn’t hide their true forms.
Rain and Walter, the Dragonewt, got off in front of the dorm, which was used by both male and female students.
There was someone standing in front of the dorm’s gate, who seemed to have waited for the two’s arrival. He looked like a human, except for his extremely pale skin, the bags under his eyes, and his sharp canine teeth.
“You are Rain Leonhart, I presume. “ Said the vampire.
“Yes” Said Rain as she lightly lowered her head.
“I’m Josef Tepes, and I will be in charge of your safety.”
“Josef will explain your situation, but don’t worry, aside from being the only human in the academy it will be the same like any other human academies. Well then, I’ll be off now, see you in class tomorrow.” Said Walter as he walked away, leaving Josef and Rain alone.
“Should I help you carry your luggage?”
“No, it’s fine.”
“Then I’ll guide you to the room.”
Rain was guided to the dorms, and as she walked, different monsters walked past her. There were a large variety of races there, though she could only name a few.
Instead of fear, she showed interest in the beings that she didn’t know of, which surprised Josef.
“Are you not afraid?”
“Should I be?”
“No, but this is the first time you’ve seen other races right?”
“Should that be a reason to fear them?”
“You’re strange…”
“If the school wanted me dead, I would’ve been dead the moment I entered the school grounds, yet I’m here, being guided to my room by someone who’s in charge of keeping me safe.”

“It’s not totally safe. Some may attack you when none is looking.”
“I’ll think about it when it happens. If it does, it only means you’re not doing your job properly, am I correct?”
“You’re really strange you know that…”
“I know, I’ve been called that even by my kind.”
When they got to the room, she saw two beds that were placed on opposite sides. The other has things placed around it, meaning she already has a roommate.
“Who’s my roommate?”
“Me”
“You?”
“I have to protect you so I have to be near you even when you’re asleep. Hehe, are you afraid since a male will be sleeping near you?”
“Not really.” Said Rain as she placed her bags on the empty bed. “Unless you plan to do something to me.”
Josef’s face turned red as he said. “I won’t!”
“Then I have nothing to fear.”
“Seriously! There’s something wrong with you!”
After placing her things, Rain sat on her bed and listened to Josef who was sitting on the opposite bed, explaining why she was admitted to Sky Academy.
Sky Academy’s goal is to make the students adapt to the world ran by the humans, but it won’t be enough just to teach them the concepts. Every year they let one human enter the academy to help the students get accustomed to a human.
Though they try to keep the humans safe, there are times when student can’t get a hold of their instincts, leading to the injury or even death of the human students. They pick those that have none to get back to, to avoid problems with the humans.
Aside from Rain, there was one more human student, a third year. There was supposed to be another one but was killed by a werewolf last school year.
“That’s all?”
“That’s your reaction? One of your kind died and you might be next!”
“I have no connection to that person whatsoever, so I don’t care if he died, and you’ll protect me so I don’t need to fear for my life.”
“Gah! Damn it! Why are you so calm!?”
“That, I do not know.”
Josef dashed to Rain and pushed her to her bed. “I could suck all of your blood right now and kill you.”
Laid on her bed, with Josef on top of her, Rain remained calm and said. “Do it, but the moment you do, you’ll regret it.”
“Still acting tough?” Said Josef as he moved his head closer to Rain’s neck.
Rain’s eyes slowly turned red as Josef pushed her ash brown hair away to see her pinkish white neck.
As Josef got closer, Rain’s sweet scent entered his nose. His heart started beating fast, and his face felt hot.
He opened his mouth to suck Rain’s blood, but wavered and jumped back.On the same moment he jumped back, Rain’s eyes returned to its sky blue color.
“You’re not going to suck my blood?”
“S-shut up! Y-you smell bad so I don’t want to bite you!”
After shouting at Rain for almost an hour, Josef guided her around the academy, without knowing that he could have died earlier.
