As soon as the sun rose over the horizon a little girl jumped happily out of her bed.
`Hurray, I am finally 6 years old´, Liticiya immediately started to dress herself. Today would be the day she could start to cultivate in public and get access towards the cultivation section of the library.
`Hmm, where is it?´, when she wanted to comb her hair, she couldn´t find her dearest brush.
"Ouch!“", Liticiya tripped over something, landed on the floor and screamed out in pain. The object she fell over was the brush. She bit herself on her lips to stop herself from starting to cry and picked the brush up with teary eyes.
The scream could be heard throughout the whole corridor and logically someone heard it. The door was pushed open and a man stormed in.
"What happened Liticiya?!", Lucas saw his little sister sitting on the floor with tears in her eyes.
"I fell over… You don´t have to worry…", the little princess was a bit dazed that her older brother charged into her room in an instant. Somebody has to know that his room was located on the other side of the castle and it should take him at least 10 minutes with his body enhancements due cultivation to come here.
"Puh, I am relieved…", he picked his sister up and snatched her the brush away.
"Lucas! Give me my brush back!", Liticiya tried to grab the brush put couldn´t reach it.
"Ha, don´t get angry. I only wanted to comb your hair…", Lucas reassured the girl and put her on his lap. He himself sat down on her bed. He started to make her hair, which he had taken a liking to. Lucas often stated that he would like to have somewhat longer hair too, but wasn´t allowed as prince because it would damage his reputation. Men with long hair were normally derided within Justoria, thus the only men who had long hair were beggars.
"Hmm, okay… However, how have you come so quickly into my room?", the princess eventually asked the question she wanted to ask all along.
"Ah, the reason was your birthday. I wanted to be the first to congratulate! Happy Birthday!", the first prince smiled at her and answered the question.
"Wait?! You stood before my door all the time just in order to be first?"
"Sure. And now come eating I already finished making your hair. Everybody is waiting."
At the time the gigantic dining room came into Liticiya´s view it was possible to see a large, red banner swaying in the air on which stood: "Happy Birthday Liticiya!"
"Happy Birthday!", the moment the little girl entered wholly everyone inside congratulated her.
"Thank you!", the princess shouted back and ran towards the table. A large variety of plates with a lot of different meals were lined up on top of it and every single was one of Liticiya´s favourite foods. She unintentionally had to swallow.
`The cooks had to awake quite early today it seems. I have to thank them afterwards.´
Despite that she would be spoiled rotten Liticiya never lost the gratitude towards everything she would get. Whenever the cooks made her favourite food she would naturally enter the kitchen after the meal and thank everybody. Naturally, she became quite familiar with the castle personal for such actions and some cooks even tried to teach her some things regarding cooking. First Liticiya wasn´t interested at all, but after a while she gradually became.
Nowadays she would visit the kitchen on Friday to learn cooking from Niclas, the best cook in the castle. Those cooking lessons were naturally held in secret, who has yet heard of a princess with cooking skills.
"Come over here Liticiya. I have already arranged a plate full of your favourites.", the queen said to her daughter, which ran over and sat down beside her.
"Thank you mommy."
Liticiya had started to look around in order to search for the presents which were numerous each year.
The queen naturally saw her daughter´s wandering gaze and chuckled: "Haha, do you remember last year? You didn´t eat anything because you were so occupied with the toys. So today we hid them away and will give you them afterwards."
"Ah, that´s the reason I couldn´t find them."
"Enjoy your meal!", Alexander said loud in order to accelerate the time he had to spend with breakfasting. He became an odd ball in the last year and had very little time for anything. He rejected every fiancée his parents tried to introduce to him even before meeting them.
The reason was that a year before Alexander got to know an extremely skilled alchemist. The alchemist was in search for a disciple and luckily Alexander crossed his path. Alexander found out that he had quite the talent in alchemy and asked if he could become his disciple, the alchemist master naturally didn´t refuse because of the second prince´s natural talent and wealth. Alexander devoted himself fully to alchemy and even stopped cultivating and learning magic. He closed himself up inside his room for the last two months and nobody really knew what he was doing.
Everyone started to eat and soon interesting conversations began to start.
"Say James, how is the sect you entered last year? It´s the first time we talk for a long time after all.", Lucas asked.
"Yeah, pretty okay, I guess. It´s not really special… As you all know I wasn´t able to get into the top sects because of my below-average cultivation talent…", James answered a bit depressed.
Last year his cultivation talent was tested and third prince´s motivation was low afterwards. He was always overactive and ran around the whole day, but after the test he laid down on his bed most the time and even gained a bit weight.
Everyone worried about him, but luckily he realized that fleeing from reality was no solution to his problem, he started learning and reading books about all kinds of different stuff. His new plan for his future is to become a scholar to help Lucas with the governmental affairs in the future. Thus he visits a school focusing on education. Interestingly, James has an inborn talent for all those things, which nobody had thought of him.
Nevertheless, he had yet to overcome the shock of not being able to cultivate to a high realm…
"Hmm, I am happily awaiting your support when I become king", Lucas smiled and tried to cheer him up, he knew exactly how handy James would become in the future.
"Ah, now that you mention it. I will soon retire, haha.", the King laughed heartily.

"You have still have to reign for 5 years, don´t get negligent Charles..", the queen reminded him gently.
"Yeah, yeah. I know Lucia…"
"And how is your alchemy going Alexander?", Lucia tried to bind her son into a conversation. So far he only sat in his chair and ate carefully with grace.
"So so.", was the only thing she received as an answer.
"You have to answer a bit more. We finally sit together as a family, but you exclude yourself..", the queen was resilient and wanted to chat with him.
"Yes, ma´am.. I am learning more and more day by day…"
"…", Lucia rolled her eyes and gave up on beginning a proper talk with him.
`Hehe, his conversation skills have declined drastically since last year. That reminds me of that loner who always read in the library. Library…, there was something…Ah, now I remember I should ask when I can leave and search in for cultivation manuals.´, those thoughts came into Liticiya´s mind.
"Mommy? Can I go to the library to read?"
"Have you already forgotten your presents? Ah, you want to read about cultivation. Am I right?", her mother smiled wryly.
"Oh, the presents… When can I open them?"
"Are you finished with eating? If you are I will call the butler to bring them in."
"Yes, I am!", Liticiya shouted vigorously.
"Haha, look at your plate. There is still something left. Eat up, afterwards you will see your presents.", the queen chuckled because she knew exactly how Liticiya would react beforehand.
After the little girl emptied her plate a large, wooden cart was pulled in the room which was loaded with packages.
The princess walked towards the cart, picked one package and tore it open. Inside was a brush made of wood. The woodwork was fantastic and the brush was rounded up with several stunning jewels.
Lucas stood behind his sister and patted her head: "That´s my present. I spent a fortune on it. A elven handworker has made this brush, it is hardly possible to get something made by elves. The wood is equally rare, it is from a large tree in the great Elven forests which grows only one centimeter a year."
"Lucas, you dote on your sister too much. Even I haven´t gotten something so costly the entire time we were married.", Roselia teased her husband again. That would happen everytime Lucas spoiled his sister.
`Oh, something made by elves. It looks fantastic, Lucas knew exactly what would please me, hehe.´
"Thank you brother.", the princess turned around and smiled at the first prince.
After a while only 2 packages were left, all others were torn open and the contents laid on the large table.
`Hm, this present is unusual. A little, triangular box. Let´s open it and look at its insides.´
The moment Liticiya opened the box a penetrating medicinal scent could be smelled by everyone present. The little girl distorted her face, held her nose with her tiny fingers and asked in disgust: "What´s that?"
"Ah, that´s my present.", Alexander answered.
Everyone turned shocked at Alexander and the queen asked: "Do you want to kill your sister with that stench bomb? It´s disgusting!"
"Nono, calm down mother… That is my new creation. You know, I spent around two months developing these pills. They make it possible to cultivate at an astonishing speed. Well.. you see… I heard that Liticiya wanted to cultivate… so I made up my mind… and put my heart into the preparation for her birthday present.", Alexander scratched his head and smiled a little bit embarrassed.
`Hee, I wondered myself that my cute acting never worked on him. But now it looks like it shows effects too, hehe.´
"Haha, I never would have thought that you would care so much about your sister.", Lucas smirked. The first prince remembered the times Alexander laughed at him because of his overprotective nature towards Liticiya. Now was his time for revenge.
"Yeah…", Alexander couldn´t say something back and endured Lucas´ laughter.
Finally, it was the time for the last present, which was a letter. The girl took it, tore it open and read the content.
When she finished, she turned around and looked at the grinning James which only said: "Enter!"
Soon the wooden door at the side of the dining hall opened and a little woman entered.
`Huh, I know that woman. Is she Amelia? 5 years ago, she left suddenly, why is she back?´, the princess was stunned at the sight of her acquaintance.
"Liticiya, that is Amelia. You won´t remember her, but she was your wet nurse. She is an old friend of mine and a very strong cultivator. She will guide you into the world of cultivation. This was James proposal, you have to thank him.", the queen said and looked a little proud of her son who was a good-for-nothing before.
`Strong cultivator?! Who would have thought that…´
Amelia smiled like an innocent girl and said overfamiliar: "We meet again Liticiya."
This sentence finally freed Liticiya from within her mind and she hurriedly replied: "Nice to meet you."
"Well then, you two. Liticiya you probably want to learn immediately. Am I right?", the king asked.
"Yes! Absolutely!"
"Haha, I knew it. That was also the reason why we ate before you could open the presents, otherwise it would have been impossible to prevent you from starving."
"Follow me Liticiya. I will bring you to the library. There I can teach you the best.", Amelia said and exited through the door. The princess ran after her and
soon only six persons were left in the room.
"Hopefully she isn´t crippled like me…", James sighed.
"That would be truly hard for her, she is even more eager to cultivate than you were..", Lucas answered worriedly.
"Naa, don´t be so pessimistic. I am sure she will shock the world as a cultivator.", Alexander said.
"You are equally worried as us. Don´t try to sound cool Alexander.", Lucas smirked at him.
