CHAPTER 492
"I have another great idea!" Leigh's eyes twinkled as she took Leah's arm.
"Yeah?" Leah looked at her.
Leigh then uttered, "Your grandfather and uncle bully you because you're all alone and don't have support…"
"I don't agree with what you said, Leigh," Avery chimed in. "We are all Leah's supporters."
"That's right!" Madison agreed. "No one can bully you on our watch!"
"All of you don't count!" Leigh waved her hand in dismissal. "To them, we are merely Leah's colleagues —or at most, her friends. How could colleagues and friends beat one's own grandpa or uncle? With a simple sentence, they can stop us from getting involved in the Sawyer family's affairs!"
Rowan hummed in a questioning tone. "Since when are you so easily defeated by a mere sentence?" Dr. Leigh was not one to back off by a mere sentence. Not to mention one sentence, even hundreds and thousands of words couldn't make her retreat.
"Shut up!" Leigh glared at him and snapped, "Let me finish, alright?" Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Shrugging, Rowan announced defeatedly, "I take back my words! Leigh hasn't changed even a little! She's still as fierce as she used to be!"
"You brat!" Leigh cursed and tossed a piece of string cheese at him. "Talk less and eat more, kid. You need to grow."
Rowan caught the piece of string cheese and countered, "Leigh, I am already many inches taller than you!"
"How could you compare yourself with a lady?" Leigh waved her hands in dismissal again and said, "I'm not wasting my time with you anymore. Let's continue our conversation, Leah!"
She then turned to look at Leah and inquired, "Where were we again?"
"You were saying, we are only Leah's colleagues and friends. We can't justify ourselves for meddling in her affairs," Madeline reminded her with a smile.
"Yes. That's it!" Leigh continued, "But it's justifiable for someone to manage Leah's affairs!"
"Who?" Caitlin inquired curiously.
"Leah's future husband!" Leigh placed her hand on Leah's shoulders with a smile. "Leah, don't you think I'm right?"
Leah was a little speechless at that. "You're not an elder of my family, Leigh. Why are you rushing me to get married?"
"I'm not urging you to get married. I just have a good idea!" Leigh smiled mysteriously, leaned into Leah's ear, and whispered, "Maddie's husband has three younger brothers!"
Leah was completely at a loss for words this time.
Grinning, Leigh continued, "I've booked Maddie's husband's fourth brother, Lucas Hart, but his second brother, Grayson, and third brother, Kieran, are also young talents with outstanding visuals…"
While saying that, she pulled Caitlin over and beamed. "You and Katy can each take one!"
Madeline was speechless at that. Were they splitting property right now? Had the party involved agreed to it?! Even Leah and Caitlin were dumbfounded.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Leigh didn't give up. "I think it's a good idea! If you marry Maddie's second and third brothers, then the four of us will be partners at work and also family at home. We won't ever have to be separated for the rest of our lives.”
Leah shook her head in denial. "Leigh, getting married is not like shopping. It's not that simple."
"Why not?" Leigh added, "Didn't I fall in love with Lucas at first sight? Anyway, you should go on a blind date with them to try it out. Who knows, you might be a match!"
Thinking of Kieran, Leah wavered. "Well, it's not entirely impossible…"
Madeline glanced at Leah with puzzlement in her eyes.
"Isn't Kieran a popular singer and actor?" Leah explained, "Although I'm not a fan of his, I actually quite like him, and I enjoy listening to his songs. He has a great voice. It's soothing to hear, especially when it's quiet at night."
In the past, Kieran used to be someone who lived in a completely different world from her. If she could
actually go on a blind date with him and make him sing for her, it didn't sound like a bad idea at all. She was not against marriage and longed to build a home and have a real family. If she met the right person, she would definitely get married.
If Maddie's husband's brother was suitable for her, then it would be much better for her to marry Maddie's husband's brother than to marry someone else.
Thinking of that, she was suddenly enlightened as she raised her hand to pat Caitlin's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Katy. I'm taking my pick first. I decided to go on a blind date with Kieran."
Caitlin did not know how to respond to that.
"Oh, but of course…" She glanced at Madeline and continued, "I'll have to ask if he agrees. I can't force him anyway if he doesn't want to."
Madeline remained silent. She didn't know what to say! She could only call the people in her office weird. While chatting, they somehow managed to steer toward an absurd topic.
They were extraordinarily… whimsical.
However, if her friends could actually marry Sebastian's younger brothers, she would be delighted.
While saying that, she pulled Caitlin over and beamed. "You and Katy can each take one!"
"I'll mention this to Sebastian later," Madeline said. "My… father-in-law has been pushing them for marriage, wishing that his adopted sons could get married right away, so a blind date should be no problem."
Leah was outstanding in terms of character, talent, and appearance. Although the Sawyers' status had declined, they were once a veteran elite family in Dusktown. Nevertheless, they were no longer as great as before. On the other hand, Leah herself still had a net worth of hundreds of millions.
Apart from her grandfather and two uncles, she had no other burdens. Her wealth of millions of dollars was her dowry. If anyone married her, that person wouldn't just be able to struggle a decade less, but they would succeed even without struggling for the rest of their lives.
Moreover, Leah had a good personality. She was well-educated, open-minded, and humble. She had the best personality among the four of them besides Madeline.
Yeah. The one who had the worst temper of all was no doubt—Dr. Leigh. Poor Lucas!
As for the Hart family, Philip wasn't strict with the marriages of his adopted sons. His requirements for their marriage were fairly simple. As long as they were in love with a woman they liked, were financially stable enough to live a married life, and their partner had a good character, then there would be no problem.
If Leah and Kieran fell in love with each other, Philip would definitely be happy for them.
"Katy, come with us!" Leigh patted Caitlin's shoulder excitedly. "Leah is right. It's better to act first. Now that you don't have a choice, you have to go on a blind date with Grayson."
Caitlin retorted, "You guys are too reckless. I don't want to get involved with you crazy lot."
"How is that crazy?" Leigh explained, "Isn't a blind date supposed to be like that? When acquaintances
see a suitable man and woman around them, they match them up for a blind date. We are Maddie's best friends, and her husband has single younger brothers. Isn't it normal for Maddie and her husband to set us up for a blind date? Besides, Maddie's husband's younger brothers are outstanding. We should keep the good within the family. It's only reasonable that Maddie thinks of us first when there is such good news."
Caitlin was rendered speechless. It did seem… reasonable. But…
"I think I'll pass," she decided. "I'm not ready to get married yet."
Squinting her eyes, Leigh stared at her. "Don't tell me you still can't forget about Lucian?"
