Chapter 5

***

The work day passed slowly. Eliah ate lunch and had a small nap. She was exhausted. Her whole body ached from stress, tension and lack of proper sleep.

At the end of the day, Eliah rushed home. She was so tired she couldn't even stand properly. She sat on the floor and watched television for hours. Finally, she fell asleep on the floor.

Eliah woke up in her bed.

She looked at the clock. It was 5:00pm.

Eliah was shaking. She felt like she was in an earthquake. She looked around. Everything was shaking. The walls, the ceiling, her own body.

Eliah ran outside and jumped into her car. She drove as fast as she could, as if she were racing a train.

She arrived at a familiar place, a place where she had been many times before.

Eliah parked her car and hurried into the deserted, creepy, abandoned building.

As soon as she entered, she heard a voice.

"Welcome, my dear child," the voice said. "Come in. Come in."

Eliah followed the voice into a strange room.

Suddenly, she saw a shadow moving towards her.

It was her father!

"Daddy?" she exclaimed. "Is that really you?"

"Of course it's me, my precious daughter," he said. "I am here to serve you."

"Father, please don't scare me anymore," she begged. "I am scared."

"It's okay, sweetheart," he said. "I'm not going to hurt you."

"Can I trust you?" she asked. "Will you never hurt me again?"

"Absolutely," her father replied. "I promise."

"Thank you, Daddy," she replied. "I love you."

Her father gave her a warm hug.

"I love you too, my darling," he whispered.

Eliah sat on the floor, hugging her knees tightly. She sang a lullaby to herself. It echoed in the empty building.

"Sleep well, my darling," her father said. "I'll protect you."

Eliah nodded. She felt safe. She tried to stop crying, but she couldn't. With her whole body trembling, she slept again.
