Rite of Passage

Rite of Passage

Asmodeaus had so many missions and not enough time to complete them all. So he had to prioritize. Which missions were easy to complete and which were harder? The road less traveled isn't always better. Commonly used passages were streamlined for a reason. It's good to have a mixture of both uncommon, rare and common all together. To maximize efficiency, output, intuitiveness, worldly knowledge, assassinations, killings, slaughterings, maimings, and genocide Asmodeaus had to be sure that there was not one left. If one slips away it will grow back like a weed. To cut the grass you have to uproot the weeds. Never leave an opportunity for your opponent. Otherwise you are only leaving trouble for yourself in the future.

You must remain honorable at all times. If the gentry find you out of order you must stop immediately. Asmodeaus knew that the best way was to cover his own tracks. As a demonic cultivator, Asmodeaus knew he couldn't be tolerated by the righteous factions. The hypocritical righteous factions who only did worse than demonic cultivators but portrayed themselves as infallible bastions of righteousness and glory.

Asmodeaus thought it was an honor for those he killed to be part of something bigger than themselves; namely enhancing Asmodeaus' own cultivation for the faction of chaos to reign supreme again. Chaos isn't about killing or hatred; chaos embodies everything. All wrongs and all rights are merely a small part of chaos. In the greymist, all rules are off and there are no limits. Limits are merely imposed upon us by men. Boundaries are like simple guidelines, and could be crossed at will.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

However, if you get lost then the guidelines could help bring you back. It's easy, just follow the signs. However you have to be careful. Sometimes people leave false signs. It's up to your own judgement what to believe and where to go.

Asmodeaus thrived in the LargeQuincy sect. Nobody noticed some nobodies go missing. After months, Asmodeaus had gotten a reputation of someone easy to talk to and get along with. Almost everybody was friends in one way or another with him. Friends of friends, brothers of brothers (martial brothers and sisters). Foundation establishment. It doesn't only apply to cultivation; it also means the foundation of your life. Are you connected with people in a social network?

And--What happens if you delete all your friends and disappear? You become a lost person. No one knows where you are. You could be anywhere, doing anything. All your connections severed.

"I miss you."

"Why?"

"Why not? I find you Interesting, Derek."

"Should I be happy or should I be concerned?"

"Both."

"When I am happy, my thoughts are aflutter. I do everything better. I write with conviction. I do well playing games. I am the bright light... But when I am concerned my thoughts are ascutter. I know not what will happen or what I need to do. I write with uncertainty, I don't want to play games, I am the darkness."

"You're both light and dark? That must get confusing."

"Oh, you don't know the half of it."

"Who are you? Where are you from? Where are you going?"

"Three questions. I have no answers for you now. You'll have to judge these three by yourselves."

"Yourselves? I thought only the two of us were in here, Ian."
