More that six hours have already passed yet Qing Yun didn’t show any signs of waking up from his cultivation state. The ordinary looking room has now become quite a magnificent sight with the glowing cocoon in the middle of it. Silver and purple light mended together as the cocoon let out small clusters of light akin to small spirits that were now dancing throughout the room.
This sight would shock anyone who had the luck to see it yet Qing Yun sat still within the glowing cocoon seemingly unaware of this wondrous sight.
Of course his present state of mind was far from his outer calm appearance as he had yet to wake from his state of elation.
What was the true realm? It was something few in the five continents were aware of and even fewer were those who could comprehend it. Qing Yun had meet several people who could comprehend it in his previous life but they were all old demons that were nearing the end of their lives. And even those couldn’t be called true realm practitioners as they had yet to truly step into the true realm.
Qing Yun was naturally aware of it’s existence and planned to try and comprehend it in the future. But he planned to do this after first attaining Xiantian, he never thought that he would suddenly find himself in this situation. The reason for that being that a human’s body was too weak and couldn’t sustain the strain of entering the true realm. Just after entering Xiantian would one be able able to barely endure it.
However it seems that his understanding towards the true realm was to shallow. The reason why no one in the five continents could train in the true realm was because of the spiritual qi that was not just to sparse but polluted to. As long as one train in this kind of environment it won’t be possible to attain the true realm. That’s way even those old demons who could comprehend its mysteries would had a hard time becoming true realm practitioners as they cultivated the polluted spiritual qi all their lives.
For people like Qing Yun who train in a high grade cultivation technique was complete different story though. By cultivating the Primordial God Physique the spiritual qi was directly refined into pure primordial qi. That was what allowed him to directly enter the true realm.
Thinking back now, although he defeated that practitioner at the first layer of xinatian he still felt that he would have no chance of victory if he were to fight against Qing Su who was seemingly at the peak of houtian. That must be because she to has walked through the true realm from the beginning.
Qing Yun’s knowledge of the true realm far surpassed anyone’s in the five continents. The so called true realm was less of a true realm and more of a true cultivation path as it had many realms that could be attained.
The first realm was called Mortal Ascension and was formed from six lower realms that were further split in nine layers each. The first lower realm of Mortal Ascension was called Engravement Realm.
Qing Yun shook his head and turned his attention inside his body again. The primordial qi was still guided throughout his body by a faint purple light, it all seemed to gather at his back. He was still feeling the burning yet comfortable sensation on the upper part of his back.
Turning his attention towards his dantian, he observed several small cracks that formed on it’s surface, it seemed as if it was about to shatter. The dantian was the core of one’s cultivation, without it one would be as good as a cripple. Despite this, Qing Yun didn’t seemed to care as he watched the event’s unfolding inside his body with great anticipation flashing across his eyes.
It didn’t take long before the cracks spread across the whole dantian. Small tendrils of energy seemed to seep from them as they enlarged little by little.

Qing Yun’s body suddenly shook before his dantian exploded. A great ripple of energy gushed out of his body and heavily crashed against the glowing cocoon. Even then, the cocoon was akin to a mountain as it didn’t show any sign of crumbling. The clusters of lights outside the cocoon became even more restless as if they were waiting for something.
Qing Yun was still watching all of this with anticipation. An energy vortex was formed in place of his dantin and was now revolving with great ferocity creating a powerful devouring force. The clusters of light outside the cocoon seemed to respond to it as they rushed through the cocoon with great ease and then inside Qing Yun’s body.
They all rushed inside the vortex. After a while, Qing Yun could see the form of something that resembled a sea of energy. This process continued for a while as the clusters of lights inside the room were absorbed inside Qing Yun’s body one by one.
Not before long, the last cluster of light was absorbed inside the vortex followed by a moment of silence that didn’t last long. A powerful ripple of energy surged out of Qing Yun body. It struck the glowing cocoon causing fluctuation to appear on its surface. It did not take long for the fluctuations to subside followed by the disappearance of the energy ripple.
Silence overshadowed the interior of the cocoon again. Qing Yun looked at what used to be his dantian not too long ago. It was now replaced by a sea of energy that seemed to contain great power. Inside it he could sea he could see the crystalline core and to far away from it the cluster of green mist. The five colored lighting however retreated to a corner of the green mist.
It seems that it was over, however Qing Yun merely shifted his attention to another part of his body, his back. The burning sensation on his upper part of his back was still present.
He tried to sense that spot and saw something that looked like a tattoo taking form. Since his attention was focused on his dantian till now he didn’t know when it started but it seemed that it was about to finish too.
Indeed, after roughly ten minutes a tattoo was engraved on the upper part of his back. It was radiating an ancient aura as it seemed to be engulfed in a mysterious glow making hard for one to see what it depicted.
After observing it for a while his eyes swept over the Qi Sea before finnaly opening his eyes inside the glowing cocoon. He didn’t seemed surprised by the sight with a wave of his hand the purple light dissipated and the silver veil transformed into a ring on his finger.
He let out a soft breath of air before smiling widely, “The dantian turning into a Qi Sea and the Mortal Tattoo engraved on one’s back! It it indeed the Engravement Realm!”
Qing Yun had yet to calm down, the fact that he entered the Engravement Realm just like that was still hard to process. The Mortal Tattoo was the mark of an Engravement Realm practitioner. With each realm layer advancement a new tattoo layer will appear and it will all be completed when one reaches the peak of engravement realm.
When Qing Yun tried to feel his current strength he deduced that he should be at the third layer of engravement realm. However he formed just one tattoo layer. Because he wasn’t aware from the beginning his cultivation was unstable now, even so this didn’t pose a problem as it would take just several hours to form the other two tattoo layers.
He was more worried about Qing Su. Based on his understanding she should have achieved the 6th of engravement realm yet she didn’t form any tattoo layer so her cultivation was more unstable than his.
Looking out the window he saw the moon high in the sky, it was already past midnight. Although the room lacked any artificial light it was still kept well lit by the moon light. It gave the room a wondrous feeling.
Without realizing, he cultivated for half a day. He wanted to speak with Qing Su but since it was already too late he thought of leaving it for tomorrow.
In the next moment however he was stunned to find the presence of someone on the other side of his door. It was Qing Su.
Although perplexed as of why she sought him at this time Qing Yun waited for her to com in. After a while however she still didn’t say anything and just stood outside the door as it seemed to be struggling to make a decision.
Seeing this Qing Yun didn’t know whatever to laugh or cry.
“Are you not gonna come in Little Su?”
His voice was immediately followed by a shriek on the other side of the door. The door was then opened and allowed Qing Su’s figure to walk in with a bashful expression.
She wore a light blue night gown that endowed her modest yet charming curves. Her long black hair was akin to a cascade of lustrous obsidian as it flowed down her fair shoulders followed by the silver moon light. Her exquisite face was painted in a red hue giving her a seducing air.
Qing Yun was immediately stunned by this sight. A fiery desire was set ablaze inside him as he looked at the stunning beauty in front of him.
