Jia Xinyi’s clear eyes followed the young figure inside the closed space. It was the young man who seemed so familiar yet somehow distant to her. He looked the same as the young man who single handedly paved a road of blood and reached the apex of the five continents without any cultivation.
He resembled that man so much yet she still had a hard time putting them as the same person. It was something beyond physical appearance, the aura they gave off was completely different. That man was always surrounded by a bloody, desolate aura, however, looking at Qing Yun now, he seemed like a kid who just got a new toy. All she could feel from him was joy, excitement and great curiosity towards cultivation.
Even so, the cloud of doubt that covered her heart for the past days was slowly dissipating as an indescribable feeling took it’s place. It was something she could not explain however she was now sure that the young man in front of her was the same man from back then, the same man who pulled her out of that living hell known as Demon Gate.
…
“Why… you won’t kill me?” The young woman asked with a trembling voice as she looked at the young man in front of her.
“For what reason? It’s already over.” The young man responded. His voice was bland devoid of any emotion as it made the young young woman heart shudder. This was the man who killed her family yet she could not help but feel pity for him. She knew to well the burden this young man had to carry on his shoulder all those years and the sacrifices he had to make to reach this point.
The young man continued, “You were a victim just as all of us, you did nothing wrong. If not for you I may not been able to reach this point. But… it’s time for it to end, too many lives were lost over this matter… and this time it’s finally over.”
The young woman didn’t show any hatred towards the young man despite being the who killed her clan. She knew that what they did could not be forgiven. In this world of martial cultivators it’s not odd to see people killing each other even so what her clan did was something that even the heavens won’t forgive.
She took a long glance at the young man before she suddenly made a decision.
…
Remembering the events from her past life, unwavering determination flashed through her beautiful blue eyes. Now that he appeared in front of her again, there was just one road that she would choose.
Old Lan didn’t miss the change that took place inside her and was instantly left speechless. Because of that man from Crimson Pavilion, Jia Xinyi didn’t want to bring disaster to him or those close to her so she wished for nothing more than to die. However, at this moment he could feel the determination to live that surged inside her eyes as she watched that young figure.
“Grandpa, I…”
Before he could say anything, Jia Xinyi’s voice sounded with a hint of yearning and her following words made Old Lan's jaw drop to the ground. He stared blankly at his granddaughter which had a sweet smile plastered on her exquisite face as her eyes were still following Qing Yun figure.
…
Inside the closed space Qing Yun body stood unmoved as if he was concentrating on something. His aura was already back at the 4th layer of houtian. The surge of power only lasted for a moment, when his hand penetrated the man’s chest, Qing Yun’s aura was already back to normal.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
The golden light inside his eyes already formed something that resembled a symbol but did not stop there. It continue to change before finally taking the form of two golden seals.
Bright golden light flashed from Qing Yun’s eyes as the two golden seals seemed to peer through the closed space itself. The spiritual energy that made the closed space seemed to tremble as the closed space distorted slightly under the bright light.
This lasted for a moment before the golden light receded and seemingly entered Qing Yun’s eyes. Although the light disappeared the golden seals were still present as if engraved inside them.
Qing Yun body finally moved as he chuckled softly. He looked around at the bright lines that formed the closed space. It was now more easier to distinguish between them, however Qing Yun didn’t seem to surprised and just kept on looking around with a grin constantly on his face.
As if he completely forgot about his injuries, his mind was again immersed into the symbol lines trying to understand their very origin. His smile suddenly froze as he turned his head upwards with an awkward expression as if sensing something. The golden seals inside his eyes shone with bright light allowing him to see through the closed space.
“Haha, it seem we were found!” Outside the closed space, Old Lan laughed and looked at Qing Yun from afar.
Jia Xinyi’s eyes trembled slightly when she saw Qing Yun looking at them. She felt a trace of worry looking at his blood soaked garments.
“Don’t worry, his injury are not as serious as they look. His bleeding already stopped so it should not be anything serious.” Old Lan comforted after seeing her expression, he then continued with a grin, “Since he already discovered us should we go down to say something?”
Jia Xinyi’s expression remained unchanged as she spoke immediately, “No need, we can talk tomorrow, we still need to prepare the requested items.”
Old Lan shot her a peculiar gaze before smiling and nodding towards Qing Yun and left with Jia Xinyi.
Qing Yun could only shake his head helplessly as he watched them leave. I seems he had underestimated the prowess of a symbol master. He thought he had enough time before they would find the closed space, however the sense of perception of a symbol master was indeed extraordinary.
“En, since they already meet my ‘master’ it’s just as good, like this we can move faster.” Qing Yun muttered, he then looked around one more time but did not try to comprehend the symbols again, the reason was because he could feel three familiar auras approaching this place.
He could just shake his head helplessly, “It seems I don’t have time anymore.” As he said dejectedly he took of his bloodied garments, with a flick of his finger a huge ball of water appeared above his head before falling down and washing the blood on his body. A silver light enveloped his body before it transformed in a new set of black garments.
With this his body appeared as new. He did not wish to worry his family too much and since they didn’t arrive in time he didn’t plan on letting them know what happened here. Although he could cover his external injuries the internal ones were impossible to hide even for him in such a short period of time. But it should not be a problem if no one probed deeper.
Qing Yun then closed his eyes for a moment a regulated his aura, skin color and breathing to further hide his injuries. This much would not be an easy task for anyone else but for Qing Yun it was just a trivial matter.
He the verified one more time that everything was alright before looking around as if searching for something. The golden seals still present in his eyes.
It didn’t take long before he grinned and took a step forward. In that instant numerous small cracks appeared in the surrounding space as they extended at an astonishing rate. It didn’t take long before the space crashed just like broken glass.
Qing Yun was still in the alley but now the bustling noise of the city could be heard. He was out of the closed space. Now that he achieved initial mastery with his Demonic Golden Eyes it was not hard to find the exit.
“Big Brother Yun!” A warm smile appeared on Qing Yun face as soon as he heard Qing Su’s sweet cry.
…
At this moment neither Qing Yun nor Old Lan discovered the numerous pairs of eyes that watched the scene inside the closed space from high above in the sky.
Several silhouettes covered in dense mist were thousands of feet above the Tianlong City as they observed Qing Yun fight in silence. It didn’t took long before this silence was broke by a cold laugh.
“So he is Qing Yun!”
