After Patrick sensei left I went inside my home. I was happy I finally get to learn magic. Inside home I saw my sister reading at the dinner table.
"How was the training little bro?" she asked when she noticed me.
"It was fun big sis!" I replied. "Patrick sensei said we could continue on the next step tomorrow!"
"You seem excited," she replied. "was it really that fun, didn't you had to stand there doing nothing? you didn't get bored?"
"It was not boring big sis, I could feel my heart beating!" I said.
"Maybe you like boring things? maybe you'll like studying too." she replied. "mom asked me to finish reading this book but it's so boring."
I wish I could read. I want to learn to read too. I don't know why I could understand everyone when I was born here but they clearly speak different language in this world. All the letters I have seen are too different even if I couldn't read in my last life.
"Big sis what are you reading?" I asked.
She closes the book and looks at the cover and says, "Basic Magic theory for kids."
I want to read that! but I can't! I need to convince her to read it for me!
"Big sis," I say as cutely as possible. "please read it for me."
She stares at me as if she saw a ghost but then she smiled and said, "If you're asking that nicely I can't refuse you, but let's eat lunch first."
We ate some sandwiches for lunch then got ready for reading.
"Sit next to me so I can show you how you read each word," She says. "I know you want to learn how to read."
I place a chair next to her chair and sit next to her. She knew I wanted to learn to read, guess I was too easy to read.
"Yes big sis," I reply. "thank you so much!"
She places a finger under the first word and starts reading. I stay silent and focus on the words but after half way through the book words stop.

She fell asleep, she sleeps too much honestly, I think, but I don't know how normal ten year olds sleeps.
What I learnt so far from the book, basically there are six types of elemental mana which are water, air, fire, earth, light and dark which you can use them to form spells.
Spells are produced by imagining how a spell would work and then supplying the appropriate mana, what if I imagine a waterball and supply fire mana?
Spell chants helps reinforce the imagination and mana makes it a reality. Also chants are simple words but when we supply mana as we are saying it they sound different.
We were reading something about World Blessing when my big sis fell asleep so I will need to wait until she wakes up, I close the book and gently lay her head down on the table so she can sleep peacefully.
With nothing to do I start recalling what Patrick sensei taught me today, I need a certain level of focus to sense mana and he also said something about if I keep focusing I will eventually start to sense mana naturally, so that's what I plan to do until my big sis wakes up.
I take out a mat made of plant fibers and sit down in classic meditation pose, Its still about noon so mom will probably take two more hours before she arrives and dad arrives around evening so I have sometime.
I close my eyes and start focusing after a while I hear it, my heartbeats, I keep my focus up. After quite a while, I am not sure how much but heartbeats starts to fade slowly, I am worried but I still keep my focus up until they all fade and and I am jolted awake.
"Why are you sitting like that?" asks my big sis Sarah.
"I was meditating, why did you have to distract me?" I reply a bit annoyed. "I think I was close... close to something big sis."
"I am sorry but I thought I should wake you up because mom should be arriving soon." she replied.
"Really? what time it is?" I ask.
"About halfway fourth quarter of the day" she replied. "I am going to fetch water so wait for me here."
She leaves, so fourth quarter is about 4 to 4:30 I think, I was out for 3 hours? I planned to practice magic casting before mom arrived but there's barely enough time but still I think maybe I can manage one try without fainting.
So according to the book I need to concentrate and imagine a waterball forming in my head then supply water mana as I chant the spell, okay lets go. I extend my hand and start concentrating imaging a ball of water, I think that's good enough... then wait how do I know what's water mana?
But before my concentration breaks I just go for it and chant {waterball} and open my eyes and I see same glowy but very faint mist traveling around my hand to the front of my palm and.... nothing happened? no wait... there something.
I see a shiny crystal clear water around the size of a drop floating and falls down. I did it!
As I celebrate my head starts getting dizzy and little headache starts forming on my forehead and it getting progressively worse, seriously just for a drop I am out of mana already?
I turn around and see my mom's blurry face which somehow matches with the face of my previous mom as darkness starts looming in my vision and more drops form... in my eyes as I faint. again.
