Chapter 45: Impenetrable Defense

Chapter 45: Impenetrable Defense

As we began our assault in Heaven, the harpy's broke the ice by showering arrows upon us. We were shielded, as we were still in the 'bus' , and we had made sure that it's outer walls were impenetrable, except with the slightest touch with ME, but that too, at a certain Mei frequency. The arrows continuously bounced off the invisible white aura that flickered when it touched it. "No use ,sir, their shield is too strong," one of the harpy's said to there general and he seemed angry. Although I couldn't hear, I could read his lips easily. "Damnit, well, no matter, just go heavier." and heavier they went. The harpy put her hand in the air, and than showed a sign with only her pinky and ring finger lifted, the others tucked within the palm, and then she showed a fist, and than a hand-gun.  That seemed like an all to simple code, she was simply telling them what to do. This time they shot their arrows with more aim and force, which bounched off the wall in a rather eerie way, making a kind of screeching sound, because it went deep enough to stay stuck into it, so it was continuously being 'bounced' off. These were manually plucked off.

"ETA: 10 minutes. Get the people ready, Raizel~Sama." Trinity said. Explaining to her about formalities will be at a different stage, as it wasn't the correct time to do so. I decided to let her take charge in watch, and I informed everyone about the estimated time till we have arrived. They seemed ready, all of them. I quickly sent a call to Trine, and when she picked up, I asked her where the reinforcements were, but she said the weirdest thing after. "Sorry, the treaty is off, please try again after you hear the beep......(Snickering)...BEEP." and she ended the call. Well then, so our backup was gone, this had to be done solo. I want'ed them to latch onto the hope that we may still have reinforcements, which deemed itself helpful at first thought.

As I returned to the front, I saw a bunch of arrows on the ground, and Trinity look horrified. "H...ho...how?" and it seemed like the wall wore. "The 'bus' wall works only for the traffic lines, so since we are entering the dimension's atmosphere, not necessarily Heaven, the bus is now losing its 'wall' which is actually shielding us from being stuck in the middle of the dimensions, which is something you don't want to happen to you, believe me, I've seen first hand. Anyways, now that the wall is gone we have to manually create shields. So, get to it! Chop chop!" and as they continued to shower arrows at us, I, for the time being, had to deflect it using my own Directional Shield, which tracks down what needs to be deflected and deflects it, using state of the art rubber, and other materials.

We managed to create a shield without being attacked by any third party members, but the Harpy's managed to get two shots on a soldier, and they were killing shots, so he passed, ready to be reborn . Other than that, we were able to get safe passage into heaven. The next major problem was its system. I've been there long enough to know how the system was made, and it's connections and details. Heaven was essentially built to be considered as the main city of the Angel Dimension, serving both as a head-military base and also as the court. Thus, it had to be fitted with these two categories, so as a result it has the most uptight defense protocol there is, just second to the Demon's main city.

The system was made well and almost, just barely away from the perfect defense. It is firstly made up of three walls, there being a 3 meter gap between each, and each of them 10 meters thick. the last wall was where the heart of the city was, but the court and other hall's like that had an extra two walls protecting it, and these two were more in a dome shape. None of this really mattered, as all we need to do is grab the kagayaku kyu from the alter located in the basement of the third floor of the Hall. This was the most guarded place however. Anyways, after breaching through the 3 outer walls, we then had to breach the next 2 within 5 minutes, else lockdown would be complete and we will be completely shut in, which is pretty much the sign of defeat for us, so we had a time limit to do such a task.

After managing to pass through these 5 walls that are in total more guarded then the president multiplied by 3,000 , we then had to manage to get to the third floor, which was also known as G2, because here everything is reverse , so left is right right is left, and if they were to speak English, the antonyms of the words they use are the actual things they are trying to mention, which is confusing , but some people, like Gabriel managed to go past this instinctive action and talk normally, partially due to him being a pure, the only pure, with SE - like abilities.

After descending down to floor 2, there will then be some security before going down. For going down, every 10 minutes the guards change shift, which was for 2 people only. One was to go down the elevator to guard Kagayaku Kyu, and the other guards the elevator. To open the elevator, it needs a retina scan, voice scan, fingerprint scan, passcode, and any other kind of password things you can think of. Usually, after a month or so, the guards are changed, and since these two are relatively new , this is just going to be better for us.

Also knowing how Gabriel works, this would be easier than normal, as he is not good at tactics that well, no matter how much he boasts about himself and his skill, he is no better than your average soldier thinking up of a crude idea. The real idealist in the group would be his wife, but she is always ignored by Gabriel. Man, forced marriages is very cruel indeed.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Anyways, I already gathered enough knowledge via Flugre , and by my own watch. The first guard, I'll name him Fatty, because he is pretty large usually opens his eyelids manually, as he is usually sleepy for the retina scan. I took a picture of his outer eyes, than internal using X-ray, and then put them together with a perfect simulator Trinity created. "One of my proudest creations," she would say, and it did do almost everything perfectly. Heck I can even make an anime with one of the crappiest pictures in the world, that's just how good it is! After getting the retina scan, I decided to just chop off his thumb, such that we can use it. His passcode, although he tried to hide it, was 'DoooooNots'  mainly because he got a few crumbs on the O when he was making it, and clicked it a bunch before the crumbs fells. 5 o's was all I needed to remember. After that , the voice scan was probably the hardest, but I took a recording of it, and filtered it usign the Perfect Simulator. After that, when his shift as elevator boy had 2 minutes to end, we started our run towards the gateway. The room felt very ... sci-fi.

As I looked around while we ran towards him, i saw the full scope of the 2nd floor. the 2nd floor was a more religious one, filled with an aisle of different religions and there respective books and teachings. After that, there was a section of prayer for each different religion, a massive gathering of the religions, and all about it seemed like a catholic church, but with more 'iff' and a bit more diversity. In the center, there was a mosaic of the Demon King,Master,God, and Gabriel duking it off, and more memories flooded in like a damn was built.

I then instantly shifted my gaze towards my target infront of me, who flinched at the sight of my heartless eyes. He then dropped his donut, and was about to call the others, but I then started running, and in a mere second I got up to him. "Hey, angel. Now I think is the time you pass. See you later, have fun in the afterlife." and I stabbed him , piercing his skin and puncturing his artery , killing him. After he died, I dissected his eye , because the projection didn't work, because an eye was much to detailed for it. I asked her to fix it in the upcoming patch, and she saluted. Michael was sent away, because I don't think he would've liked this. After dissecting his eye, and taking his right index finger, we managed to open the elevator, and, just as timed, when we opened it, the next guard came. He was first shocked, than the next split second realization drained his face from emotion. "Oh, goodbye world." and right he was, as I stabbed him, killing him. We then went down, towards Floor 3, which had no other security terminals or guards. It was pretty clean. Just to be sure, Trinity took a scan, and too, found nothing.

Yet, when we saw Kagayaku Kyu, it looked shinier than I imagined. It was blooming with an aura of a brilliant white, and had a beautiful mosaic carved into its spherical shape. For an orb that held God's soul, it was relatively small, only about 6 cm in radius. It was resting on an ancient pillar, which seemed thousands of years old, yet the orb, only one or two, because by then this radiant light would have dimmed. Around it , there was a makeshift sky, and star's , to represent God's greatest creations, with the help of his SE, that he was brought upto with.

When we got closer to the statue, I heard a hiss. I looked around, and couldn't tell what it was at first, but , like Trinity, I didn't lower my guard after that. I noticed that every step we took closer to Kagayaku Kyu, there was a heavier air around it, and when we were about to touch it, the orb by itself vanished. I first thought it was some security protocol, because I wasn't angel or something, but then I heard a voice.

It is not my time  yet, young one, nor is it yours.

I'll awaken soon enough, and I will fulfill your obligations, my child.

Wait for me 'till the 800th Dawn of KiJi, and I will be waiting for you and your apprentice.

Please, do entertain me, I must prepare myself for the upcoming,

Make haste, and heed my words, O good one.

and then Kagayaku Kyu came back again, infront of me, and the room was filled with an even brighter light, that could blind a person simply by looking direcly at it. I then took the orb off the pedestal, and from there, the statue began to fall, but nothing else really happened after that. I heard another hiss, this time, the elevator hiss. I then saw a few recognizable faces. "Yo! What's up?" the man said, and I couldn't help myself but smile. "It's you, Johnny? And why are you with a Harpy. No matter, may you do me a favor and move aside? I have some business to attend to." and Johnny refused to do so, but than the same dark aura arised, and it semed that Johnny has also felt it, and had heard the following :

My, my. It has been quite a while, hasn't it, Kami~Sama?

Yes, it has been, long time. Are you prepared as well?

The 800th KiJi? Yes, I've been prepared, and so has my body, what about you, Kami~Sama?

Mine too, is almost complete.

I see, he must have listened to our wishes.

Yes he has, sadly, our meeting must end here, for now, atleast.

Why of course, Kami~Sama.

and everything returned to normal. Johnny then gave me a weird look. "Yo...u saw that... too?" and I nodded, which was clear enough for him. He then did something unusual. He attacked, out of the blue, and managed a good earned strike on my cheek. "Drew the first blood, ehh, Boy? Seems like Hazen never gave you a proper hiding, allow me!"
