Chapter 6: Elemental Lord.
Among the myriads of fire elementals, there is some who stands above all.
One Elemental God.
Four Elemental Kings
Sixteen Elemental Lords.
Now one of such beings, the elemental Lord Augris, known as the Berserk Salamander, is pummeling the ground.
A look of rage and indignity masks its reptilian face. Augris roars in anger as he smashes his claws into where that foolish elemental had been.
"You dare! Die arrogant bastard!"
Augris is enraged; what kind of Elemental Lord wouldn't? Using fire magic against those who stand at the top of it is the same as spitting on someone's face.
After a few minutes, Augris finally stopped and crawled away from the crater he had made.
But suddenly, he feels a presence behind him. When he turned around, he saw the same elemental he was beating up. Standing on the same spot he had been, looking completely fine.

When the tail smashed down on me, I felt nothing.
Even when heavy blows rained down on me, I felt nothing.
Only then did I remember that, unlike elementals, I, a Living Flame, don't have an elemental's weakness.
I don't have a core.
The flames are my body.
Therefore.
...Immunity to physical damage.
[Mostly. There is a reason why even someone like Dr. Matthew would consider Living Flames a pest.
The reason why elements can be killed is because of the existence of a core.
Nature is fair... scratch that.
Nature is not too unfair, otherwise, elementals, with their elemental bodies, would be almost impossible to kill.
...No wonder Living Flames are pests.
I stare at the Salamander, and it stares back at me, its eyes full of disbelief.
The Salamander's disbelief suddenly changes into rage. The Salamander charges at me, but unlike last time.
I do not run.
Running is pointless, given the speed of this thing.
So I stood still.
The Salamander smashes, strikes, and scratches me as I stand there.
With every hit, my fiery form shatters, only to reform with the endless flames around me.
The Salamander rages; it's every smash that can shake mountains; it's every scratch that can tear through the hardest steel; it's every strike that can break any defense.
I took it all.
Unmoving.
With a smirk (or what passes off as one), I open my arms wide. Inviting it to attack.
Seeing this, the Salamander opens its mouth, preparing to breathe............in?

[Rulers of Element: Fire Elemental Lord.
A Fire Elemental Lord can be considered as the most dangerous of the Elemental Lords, why? Because fire.
When a fire elemental reaches the realm of Lord, they gain the ability to absorb and expel intense amounts of heat to their liking.
When fighting a Fire Elemental Lord, one must try to destroy its core with one attack; otherwise, there is a 91% chance that they will self-destruct when in a losing battle.
- Dr. Matthew, from his award-winning book "A Study with the Elements"]
As I read through the Codex, I found something bad, and I mean bad.
[Absorb and expel intense amounts of heat].
I turn to look at the Salamander, finally realizing what it is about to do.
...Tell this to me sooner!
The salamander opens its mouth, sucking in every flame in front of it.
Including me.
Damn you Echo.
