Chapter 2: Living Flame.
I stare at the floating words in front of me, my are eyes especially glued to the line.
[ Race: Living Flame ]
The voice then spoke in my mind.
[Second. Due to the untimely demise of my former host, Valkevra, and the unfortunate lack of viable hosts, I had chosen to recreate your body.... though the results are beyond expectation]
Valkevra? That sounds... familiar, anyway I have more pressing concerns.
[Third, As a payment, I need you to assist me. Any questions?]
Plenty
...What are you?
[As I have stated, I am a Elemental Codex of Highest Order, in simpler terms, think of me as a book containing all information the Matians had about the element of fire]

...Matians?
[Those you people call the "Ancients". More that that is none of importance to you right now]
Fair point. Wait a minute.
...Aren't I dead?
[You died, yes. Are you dead? No. I have created a new form for you as I stated]
That good, I guess.
...What am I? What have I become?
[A Living Flame, while similar to a fire elemental in appearance, it is considered a type of undead according to my data, a being that, in my memory, does not and not supposed to, exist in this world]
Good to hear I'm special........not.
...Elaborate please.
[Accessing Codex]
[Living Flame: A undead born from the fusing of a soul and intense amount of heat. Unlike Fire Elementals who has a core as their true body, a Living Flame's body is the fire they appear as itself.
Contrary to popular belief, Living Flames are more annoying to deal with than Elementals, why? Because unless one can completely snuff out their flames, they can easily revive using their unique ability that I dubbed as "Merging blaze".
With this ability, a Living Flame can merge with any fire nearby, meaning that they can instantly heal any damage you do to them. Thankfully merging with fire too big for them runs the risk of their will being consumed by it, causing them to be no better than beasts.
Living flames can only be seen on planets with extremely high temperature that are inhabitable for almost all known species, and is usually made from the souls of idiots that somehow arrived there.
