— "Enter the hero! Revere to me, your savior!"
Everyone in the adventuring guild wasn't even fazed by her appearance in the guild and loudness. We could hear chatters around the guild:
— "...Go for a drink later?"
— "...We need potions."
— "...Hey, check her out. She's carrying the head of a dead Rogue Dryad."
The last bit of chatter caught our attention and then looked back at her. She put the head of the dead Rogue Dryad on the reception desk. They paid her a good sum of money and then walked out of the adventuring guild. What a weird person.
Anyway, we also exited the adventuring guild and I helped the guild staff unload their order from my carriage. And then rode off to the capital of the kingdom. And stopped by an... Inn? It's a large building maybe the width of five average homes and as tall as a commercial office building.
They said it's an inn but this is clearly a hotel. Maybe it's just the name. Regardless, I rented a parking space near the "inn" and went inside of said "inn."
We are greeted by the warm light-yellow light and the staff walking around serving people's needs. Bellboys guiding the people to their respective rooms, the receptionists giving the guests their room keys, and such.
The atmosphere is quite fancy with the guests being made of people with silk suits and gowns. We stuck out like a sore thumb in the crowd so we were spotted by a concierge.
— "You two look lost–Oh wait, are you two the guild was talking about regarding five free nights?"
— "Yes, that would be us both."
— "Your room is at the end of the second floor's first hallway. More specifically, Room 53."
However, Leo was instead nauseated from the crowd. I guess he's not used to being around so many people? He acts so high and mighty when around people but I suppose he has his own limits.
— "What about him? He doesn't look good."
— "Owens... I can feel my stomach churn."
He looks at me pleadingly whilst he holds his stomach. I could see his eyes quiver from the amount of people in the lobby.
I looked at the concierge.
— "Could you please assist him to the bathroom? And if you could, could you guide him to our room?"
— "Of course."
With that, Leo and the concierge took a different path from mine. I went to the flight of stairs and looked around for our rooms.
And when I finally reached our rooms, it was a luxurious space with closets full of clothes of every size. Bed Sheets neatly on the bed itself. It has a sweet fragrance along with the pillows.
The bathroom is spacious complete with skincare products and extra bathroom necessities.
After I was walking around our room, exploring every nook and cranny of it, Leo and the concierge came back and left us both alone.
— "I hate being around so many posh people."
— "You can't say that because you've lived with Ms. Florenza's manor for who knows how long."
— "I... I didn't think about that."

It was getting late and I have to fulfill my promise to Leo tomorrow to make it up to him after we ate a Mushroom Boar.
Thankfully, there were two beds and we both slept peacefully without any hindrance or any disturbance.
We both woke up and exited the "inn" to get breakfast. We started chatting as we walked down the hallway and walked down a flight of stairs.
— "Owens, I hope you don't forget about your promise yesterday."
— "I didn't. Just pick out whatever you want to eat at the buffet and I'll pay for it."
— "What's with you today? Are you sure you're not broke?"
— "Broke? I'm far from it! Before we hit up the buffet, I'll probably need to withdraw some money."
— "Why don't you have your money in hand?"
— "That would be stupid and you know it. Traveling merchants have a higher chance of getting robbed so it's better that I keep my money in a safe space."
— "For a moron, you're quite knowledgeable."
We both exit the "inn" and headed to a nearby bank to withdraw maybe a bit of money to be prepared for what Leo is going to get in the "inn"'s buffet.
We waited in line and when it was our turn, I withdrew about a thousand silver coins and we both left after that to go back to the "inn" to get our breakfast.
— "That's a lot of money, Owens."
— "It really isn't, in my opinion."
— "Alright then. If you say so."
But as we walked, I saw a familiar face. It was from the girl from the adventuring guild with her party. Although, her party was less energetic than she was. They all are talking amongst themselves and not including her. But for whatever reason, she didn't mind it. Whatever, it's none of my business.
After that, we got back to the "inn" and ordered our breakfast. And just as I expected, Leo ordered plates upon plates of food in which he ate in under thirty minutes. I was too astonished not to watch him eat that much food. It was mildly entertaining...
...But something catches my eye more, it was her again with her party who were sitting close together, excluding her as she happily ate her food. Seriously, I'm starting to wonder what her relationship with her party is. And from what I could tell, they're eating a lot and she's eating what she needs for the day.
After we ate our breakfast, we went out of the kingdom to the forest to practice magic since I know nothing but barely use spells and summon my Mana Crystal. But after an exhausting hour of training, we took a break.
— "Alright, Owens. You still suck at using your magic but–"
— "Hnnghaaaah!"
Leo was interrupted by a loud agonizing yell nearby from the forest. His ears immediately perked up and ran in that direction. I followed him but was a bit slower because of exhaustion from our training...
...But what I saw was enough to get my exhaustion out and my vision turned red: It was the girl being beaten up by her party.
— "You're weak!"
— "Since when were we your friends?! You're pathetic!"
Her party kept throwing insulting words at her. And then I looked at Leo who had widened and quivering eyes. He was a bit frightened and from what I could tell, a bit traumatized. I feel as if he has gone through the same thing.
They still haven't noticed us but that was enough. I didn't know who she was but it was still right to save her from this situation. I had my Mana Crystal ready as well as Leo's as well. He didn't speak and didn't want to. I can feel him grow angrier and angrier.
— "Ra Dibilito!"
I yelled as the Runic Text on my Mana Crystal was spent. Because I never trained magic, my supply of Runic Texts was heavily limited.
*Clink*
*Clink*
*Clack!*
The chains tied the girl's party up in dark, thick, metallic chains with an ominous black glow.
After they were all tied up, the chains pulled them all together in a circled bunch.
— "What the... Who are you two!?–"
— "Ma Fulgudyne."
*Zaap!!*
Leo wasn't letting them speak and casted down a powerful concentrated beam of lightning. He was not thinking with any reason, just pure anger and hatred. He was treating this like it was an experience that he once had.
They were all heavily injured by Leo's lightning but not enough that they would suffer major damage on their body but just enough to leave them unconscious for a few hours and left with a few shock marks around their body.
I hurried over to the girl who was heavily breathing whilst lying down on the forest's dirt. She was struggling to breathe. Her breathing was unstable and hoarse.
The armor on her shoulder, torso, and shin, was heavily damaged and torn. She was badly beaten. If she was any normal person, she would have been dead.
— "Help me..."
She could barely speak and blood was spilling from her mouth and some were dripping from her forehead down to the features of her face. Her eyes are slowly losing light as she starts to lose her consciousness
— "Don't speak! I'll get you some help."
I looked over to Leo who was looking down on the girl's party members that were tied to a bunch by my chains. His expression was dark and grim and full of hatred.
— "Leo! Get over here and help!"
— "Right!"
He snapped out of his thoughts and rushed towards me and tried casting healing magic on her but couldn't. He exhausted his Runic Texts from casting that lightning spell out of hatred.
— "I can't, Owens! I'm out of Runic Texts!"
— "Then what do we do?! We can't just leave her here dying!"
— "I have a plan but I don't know if it will ever work!"
— "Let's just do it! We have no choice but to save her!"
