Chapter 12: New Dorm

Chapter 12: New Dorm

The light of the sun shone down at William who was laying down on his bed. Quickly getting up and looking to his left, he saw Theodore and Helios who were both still sleeping. At the same time he heard someone mumble to his right, quickly turning around he saw Pyry laying down at his open beed rightsides William.

“Good morning Pyry” William greeted.

“Ugh.” Pyry said. “Good morning to you as well.”

“Pyry, when did you get here?” William asked.

“Last night.” Pyry answered. “And don’t ask how I got here. I don’t want to talk about it.”

William looked at Pyryb for a moment before speaking.

“Was it embarrassing?” He asked.

Pyry nodded, “Vey much so.”

“Now you're making me curious, What is it?” Theodore said as he finally woke up and looked at Pyry. “Come on, Tell me.”

William turned to Theodore and smiled at him. “Oh, you're awake, good morning Theodore.”

“Good morning to you, William.” Theodooire said, before looking back at Pyry. “Pyry tell me how you got here.”

Pyry looked at him for a moment, his face completely blank not even showing a single sign of emotion.

“No”

“Just tell me Pyry, I promise you I won't tell anyone.” Theodore said.

“Can you leave the poor man alpine for a moment.” Helios said as he finally woke up because of Theopdore’s loudmouth. “Next time make sure to be more quiet when there is someone sleeping right next to you.”

“Well you should have found another person to sleep right next to.” Theodore said.

“What was that?” Helios said

“Nothing.” Theodore said.

Heliops sighed to himself holding his nose, he looked up at Theodore. “I know that’s a lie but it’s too early in the morning to argue with you.”

“Aww, Thanks.”

“By the way good morning Helios.”

“Good morning to you as well WIlliam.” Helios said as he greeted William back.

“Hey, why did you respond to William and not to me?” Theodore said.

Helios sighed. “I don’t know, the fact that the first thing that he says to me is good morning and is not annoying. Maybe that’s why?”

Before Theodore could even respond black William interrupted him by getting their attention by clapping his hands. William looked at both Theodoroe and Helios, his hand still covering Theodore’s mouth.

“Come on you guys it's still too early in the morning.” William said. “So can the two of you please stop.”

The two of them didn’t seem to want to follow William’s words, but the two would eventually relent and sigh.

“Fine,” Helios said as he sighed and laid back down on his bed.

“Fine” Theodore said, although he was muffleed and could be heard that much due to the fact that William was covering his mouth.

William smiled at the two of them. “That’s great! Now all we need to do is figure out a way to pass the time.” He said to the three. “So, do any of you guys have any ideas?”

“Fighting.” Pyry suggested to Wiliam blankly.

“I dunno, maybe discuss weapon designs.” Theodore said with his eyes strangely twinkling.

“Too boring, how about we play a game. Maybe a card game.” Helios said as he waved his hand uncaringly.

“Ok I like your enthusiasm Pyry, but we are in a hospital if we fought I doubt that the people here would appreciate us fighting. Theodore, I know that you like weapons but I fear that we wouldn’t be able to keep up with you. And Helios I think it's a good idea, but I don't think that those two are going to like playing card games.” William said to the three.

Theodore looked at William before asking

“So, what are we going to do?” He asked.

“To be honest I have no Idea.” William responded as he sighed.

As William sighed the door to their room opened as the four of them looked at the person that entered their room. It was none other than Wilhelm that entered their room and looked at the four of them.

“I see that the four of you are now awake, good.” Wilhelm said. “Follow me, the four of you have just been discharged by Beatrice.”

William and the others looked at each other before shrugging and deciding to follow him. Besides, they have nothing else to do.

The four of them followed Wilhelm as they followed him to the reception area of the clinic that they were in.

“The four of you stay here, I still have to pick up Dolian and the others as they were also discharged.” Wilhelm said to the four, before leaving he turned to the four and said. “And don’t cause any trouble while I'm gone.”

William nodded as he gave him a thumbs up. “You have nothing to worry about Professor, I’ll make sure to keep these three here in line.”

“Sure, go ahead.” Wilhelm said before leaving.

As Wilhelm left Helios turned and looked at him for a moment before speaking.

“You did not just place me and Pyry on the same level as Theodore did you.” Helios said.

“Hey!”

“Be quite Theo.” Helios said before looking back at WIlliam.

“I mean… I think that you have a horrible temper Helios. That's why I considered the chances of you causing trouble are as likely as Theodorer.” William said as he looked at Helios.

“...Me? With a horrible temper.” Helios said as he looked at William, dumbfounded. “What the hell! Do I look like a person that has a horrible temper.!?!” Helios said.

“And you just proved my point, Helios.” William said as he looked at Helios blankly.

“...” Helios said nothing before sighing and sitting down at his own seat.

Theodore chuckled as he looked at Helios. Helios looked up at Theodore and sighed in defeat.

“Shut up.”

“Never.” Theodore responded.

Helios sighed in defeat as he looked down at the floor.

“Why am I stuck here with these idiots…”

William chuckled at Helios’s words as he rubbed the back of his head.

“I think you’ll get used to this.” He said to Helios.

The four of them waited until Wilhelm returned to the reception area alongside with Dolian and his friends.

“I see that the four of you didn’t destroy the room while I was gone, good.” Wilhelm said

Theodore looked at Wilhelm smirking, “Were you worried?”

“Yes, yes I was. I have a feeling that your year is going to be a handful.” Wilhelm said as he looked at them.

Dolians ears perked up as he looked at Wilhelm, “What do you mean?”

“You won’t understand.” Wilhelm said as he looked at Dolian. “You're too young to understand it.”

“Oh, yeah? And how old are you?” Dolian asked.

“I’m 27 years old. Thank you.” Wilhelm responded.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.

“27? That makes you 10 years older than us.” William said as he looked at Wilhelm.

“And it's surprising considering the fact that if I remember correctly you’ve been a teacher for about 2 years, so you’ve been a teacher since the age of 25.” Helios said as he stood up and looked at Wilhelm.

Theodore looked at Pyry before silently whispering towards him. “Do you have any idea why he's been a teacher since he was 25?”

“Why are you asking me?” Pyry asked.

“Duh, your guardian is also our teacher, thus making your guardian and Wilhelm coworkers. So do you have any ideas?” Theodore explained.

“No, I don’t.” Pyry said. “And I don’t care about my guardian's work.”

Theodore sighed. “Well there goes that idea.”

Wilhelm sighed, “Either way the eight of you, follow me.”

Wilhelm left the building as the eight of them followed him outside of the building. As Wilhelm was walking towards their dorm building, Theodore looked at William and asked.

“Say William, do you know what our building is going to look like?” Theodore said.

“I dunno, I hope that it looks good and close to the school.” William answered .

“Yeah, me too.” Theopdore said.

At the same time Williamk looked at Dolian and asked.

“Say, Dolian, who's that person with you, Blake, and Yuri?” He said as he looked at the person that was near the three.

He had curly brown hair, soft brown eyes, and was wearing a brown t-shirt and academic uniform. He nervously took a few steps back as he held his hands thinking of something to say to William.

Theodore looked at the brown haired person and quickly looked back at William, “Say, do you have a brother?”

“He is not my brother.” William said, “But, yes I did have a brother. Once.”

Theodore nodded at William’s words. He thought about for a moment as he thought about what William said about him having a brother once. But he decided to ask him that question one day in the near future.

Returning back to the brown haired person, he was still twiddling his fingers, trying to figure our a way to answer William.

“Uhh,” The person in question looked at William nervously. “Uhh, Hello?”

“Oh, him?” Dolian said as he pointed at the brown haired colleague, “Oh, he’s PAUL Aaren and he’s going to be our classmate! Isn’t it wonderful!” Dolian said cheerfully.

Helios scoffs as he looks at Paul for a moment before looking at Dolian. “Are you joking? Look at him, he doesn't even look like he has a spine on him and we expect him to be a hunter like the rest of us.”

Blake grunts as he looks at Helios, “Yes, I do agree that he should be more confident. To be a Hunter, one needs to be confident and be able to properly confort people and be able to fight.” Blake said, causing Paul to visibly flinch. “But, I am also of the belief that we should wait, and see what Paul can do.”

Helios scoffs, “Fine whatever, if he dies don't blame me if he dies.”

Pyry looks at Helios for a moment giving him a slightly scolding gaze. Noticing his gaze Helios looked at Pyry and said.

“What?”

“You didn’t have to be that harsh you know.” Pyry said.

Helios scoffs, “I’m just saying what I think and feel about something.”

Back to William he looked at Paul and walked up to him and offered his hand to him, wanting to shake his hands.

“Well, Paul, I am William, nice to meet you.” William said as he looked at Paul.

“.... L-likewise.” Paul said as he shuttered for a bit.

“Are you all done with your talking?” Wilhelm said as he looked at his students as they continued to walk towards their destination. “Because we're about to arrive.”

Everyone looked back up to Wilhelm and followed him, as they turned and entered a street and walked towards a building near the street and stopped at a 4 floor building.

The building that was in front of everyone was a large 4 floor building with a large brown door at the front and several covered windows. The walls were built with Bricks and stone and some additional concrete to keep everything connected. The building was also beautifully crafted and was surrounded with several pots of flowers and plants. Overall the building right in front of them was beautiful.

Wilhelm turned around and looked at his students and smirked at them.

“So, what is your initial impression of your dorms?” Wilhelnm said.

“It's certainly beautiful, Professor Wilhelm.” William said as he looked at his teacher. “I take it that this building is going to be our dormitory.”

Wilhelm nodded at William's words. “Yes, this building right here would be your dorm building. This building has four floors, the 1st floor or the ground floor if you may call it is the common area of the building, this floor is where many of you are going to stay. This floor has a kitchen, small library, and an outdoor garden. The 2nd floor is the boys room, this floor is where all of the boys rooms are located. The 3rd floor is the same as the second floor but for the girls. And the 4th floor is the command room. This floor is where you all will meet when discussing important information. There is also a basement here that has 3 rooms, one that has a blast furnace and several equipment used to maintain a weapon. Another with a workbench and a brewing station. And finally a storage room for all of your supplies. Any questions?”

William shakes his head as he looks at William, “No professor. I don't think that we do.” he said.

Wilhelm nodded as he grabbed a key from his pocket and opened the door with it.

“Good, follow me inside.” Wilhelm said as he looked at his students.

Wilhelm entered as William and the other seven also followed suit as they all entered their new home. Upon entering the building they saw that the floor was made out of wood while the walls were made out of stone. There was also a shoe rack near them as they entered.

“Hey look, there's a shoe rack there” Theodoroe said as he pointed at the shoe rack. “And look, free slippers!”

“Way to point out the obvious idiot.” Helios said as he walked past Theodore and followed Wilhelm.

Theodoore slumped down as he looked at Helios for a moment before mumbling to himself.

“Yeah, but you didn’t have to be so harsh about it.” he said.

William patted Theodore at the back as he comforted him. “Don’t think about it too much, I don’t think he means it, Theo.”

Theodoroe sighed in resignation. “Yeah, I get that, it's just that it’s so annoying. All I'm trying to do is to make things livelier.”

William chuckled as he and Theodore went further inside of the building. The two would arrive at what William would guess as the living room of the building. It was full of chairs and sofas. There were also tables in front of the chairs and sofas along with small pots of plants that made the room look warmer inside.

William took a seat near a window that overlooked the garden outside. The others were also seated in the room. Dolian and his group were seated in a single large sofa, Helios was seated at the sofa chair as he had one of his arms on his face as he looked at Wilhelm. Pyry was leaning on the counter that led to the kitchen. And finally Theodoroe was seated at a chair near William.

Wilhelm looked at all of his students before nodding and grabbed eight sets of keys.

“Now let’s begin shall we.” Wilhelm said as he showed them the sets of keys. “What you all see here is eight sets of keys and all of you will all receive one set of keys. Is a set you have a key that would open the front door of the building, another for your room, and finally a third key for your locker at the academy.”

Helios raised his hand. “Question Professor?”

“Yes, What is it Helios?” Wilhelm said as he looked at Helios.

“I take it that each of us will have a room, but what are our room arrangements?” Helios said.

Wilhelm nodded. “Good, question Helios.” He said. “As per Grayfield policy, all eight of you would have to discuss it among yourselves what your room placements would be. Are you satisfied with that Helios?

“Yes, I am.” Helios said.

“Do you have any other questions?” Helios said.

“Yes, what happens when we lose our keys?” Helios asked as he looked at Wilhelm.

Wilhelm sighed as he looked at Helios. “Well, if you did lose your key, you will have to have it replaced. And it will cost you more than a penny.” He said as he rubbed his thumb to his index finger at Helios. “I recommend that you don’t lose your keys.”

William nodded . “I see, I understand, Professor Wilhelm, we will discuss our room placements later. Is there anything else that you would like us to know?”

Wilhelm shakes his head. “There are no more things that I need to tell you all.” He said as he walked towards Wuilliam and placed the eight sets of keys at a table near William.

Wilhelm looked at William before speaking. “I will give you the keys so that all eight of you can begin to discuss among yourselves where each of you want your room to be. I hope that by the time that I return here the eight of you already have your rooms. “

William looked at the keys for a moment before looking back at Wilhelm, seeing his firm face William relented as he sighed.

“Ok, I understand.” William said. “I’ll be keeping these keys until we finish discussing among ourselves where our rooms should be.”

“Good,” Wilhelm said before quickly walking out of the room, he looked back at his students as he asked.

“Is there anything else that you would like to ask me?[‘

“Where are you going, Professor.” Theoodore asked curiously.

“I'm going to the faculty to talk with your teachers. And to hopefully talk with Vanessa about her entrance exam,”Wilhelm answered.

“Who’s Vanessa?”

“Your teacher.”

‘Now if there are no more questions I will be taking my leave. Good bye.” Wilhelm said before leaving the room, leaving William and the other seven students to their own devices.

“...”

“...”

“...”

“... So, about the rooms, how are they going to go?”

————————————————————————————

Wilhelm walked towards the faculty as he entered the room he came face to face with Vanessa who was drinking a cup of tea.

She had long red scarlet hair with bright green eyes, and was wearing a long black and green dress accompanied with bright red long heels. She was also well developed compared to her sister Beatrice in the chest and height department.

“It's nice to see you again Vanessa, I take it that your exam did well?” Wilhelm said.

Vanessa took a sip from her tea as she looked at Wilhelm.”Yes, it went well. I would assume that your first entrance exam went well?”

“Yes, it did.” Wilhelm said as he walked to his table and chair and sat down. "How many passed in your exam?”

“Half of the amount that I could accept,” Vanessa said. “Pretty well all things considered.”

“So that’s four, am I correct?” Wilhelm said as he looked at the red headed teacher.

Vanessa took another sip from her cup of tea and looked ast Wilhelm playfully. “You are correct, Wilhelm.”

At the same time, both Winston and Oscam entered the faculty room and saw both Wilhelm and Vanessa. Oscar looked at Wilhelm weirdly for a moment before glancing at Vanessa. Vanessa looked at Oscar and silently told him that it was nothing.

Oscar sighed as he walked to Vanessa and sat near her. Winston took another seat inside of the faculty room. Winston looked at Vanessa before asking.

“So, how many passed your test, Vanessa?” Winstonm asked.

“Four.” Vanessa replied.

“Hmmm,” Oscar hummed and grumbled as he looked at his own desk. “ So we will have eight male students and four female students this year. That makes twelve students this year.”

“We can work with that.” Winston said. “Besides, it’s far better than last year that’s for sure.”

“Anything is better than last year.” Oscar responded back. “You can’t deny that.”

“He’s not wrong though.” Vanessa said.

Winston sighed as he looked at Wilhelm. “Anyway since nearly all of us are here and I doubt that Gunther would leave his workshop for this meeting along with Daniel currently on a mission, I suggest that we begin this year's teachers meeting,” he said.

Vanessa coughed a bit as she looked at Winston cheekily. “Don’t forget my dear sister and our crow.”

“Those two are also unlikely to participate in this meeting Vanessa, remember Beatrice has her Hospital/Clinic to take care of. And like Daniel, Miss Rafin is also currently on a mission.” Wisnton said as he looked at Vanessa.

Vanessa let out an audible hum as she looked at Oscar. “Well you know that I am a joker.”

Oscar sighed. “And this is why I don’t like you when you're with Rafin.”

“So you're saying that you don’t like me normally.” Vanessa said to Oscar with crocodile tears.

Oscar sighed as he looked down. “Not that, it's just that the two of you are a terrifying duo when it comes to causing chaos.”

Wilhelm clapped, catching everyone's attention. “Moving on, don't we all have something to talk about.”

Winston nodded as he grabbed a set of papers from Vanessa’s papers alongside Wilhelm's papers on his table. Presenting the papers to the teachers that were in the room Winston began his introductions.

“Now I know that all of us don’t like wasting our time over unnecessary things, so as someone who has already read all of these papers ahead of time. I will summarize these papers for all of you. For this year we will have 12 students this year on the Hunter course 8 male students and 4 female students. From the boys, their names are William Lark, Theodore Hephaestus, Helios, Pyry Fenrir, Dolian Hare, Yuri Dragonov, Blake Yoshikakge, and lastly Paul Aaren. From the girls we have Alma Rösler, Sara Horstmann, Christina Kiesling, and finally Clara Krause. All twelve of them will be enrolling this year as students in the hunter course.” Winston said as he summarized the paper to all of the teachers inside of the room.

Oscar laid back at his seat as he thought to himself for a moment. “I believe Miss Alma is like Theodore, am I correct?”

Wilhelm nodded as he looked at Oscar. “Yes, she is also very similar to Theodore as she is also taking another course aside from the hunter course. She is also set on being a medical student as well.” he answered as he looked at Oscar.

“Hmm.” Oscar hummed to himself as he glanced at Vanessa for a moment. “Looks like you already know who your favorite student is this year, Vanessa?”

Vanessa chuckled as she looked at Oscar. “You're damn right!”

Winston coughed for a moment as he looked at Vanessa with slight disapproval. “I would have preferred that you didn’t use language like that, but yes I do see why you’ll take a liking to Alma. Like you and Beatrice, she is going to take both the hunter course and medical course so I see why you’ll take an immediate liking to her. Just don’t favor her too much to the point that you neglect your other students Vanessa.” he said as he looked at her.

“You have nothing to worry about Winston. I won't play favorites too much.” Vanessa said.

Wilhelm sighed at the two teachers' interaction with each other, unlike Wilhelm who was 27 years old all the other teachers were all 5 years older making them all currently 32 years old. Coughing for a moment to get their attention, Wilhelm looked at the other teachers before speaking.

“Moving on, we would also need to plan on what to do about the more troublesome students.” Wilhelm said.

Winston nodded. “I agree now we will need to first discuss which student may be the source of our headache for the next four years.” he said as he looked at his fellow teachers. “Wilhelm, Vanessa, since the two of you personally managed the entrance exam this year, I will personally approach the two of you and ask both of you which students that you think would be troublesome for the next four years.”

Vanessa shakes her head. “I don’t know about little Willie over here, but I can confidently assure everyone here that this year all four of our female students would behave most of the time. They may cause some trouble, but nothing major that we would lose sleep over. How about you, Wilhelm?”

Wilhelm sighed to himself, as much as he would like to deny it there are a few students that might cause them problems. “Firstly I would like to say that out of the following eight male students students that we will be taking in, I say that Dolian, and Yuri might be the students that may cause some problems for us.”

Winston nodded as he grabbed a notepad and began to write down the two’s names.

“Although,” Wilhelm said, “ I doubt that those two would be able to cause as much trouble for us thanks to Blakes possibly stopping those two. So we'll have to thank the poor boy later.” he added.

Oscar nodded as he looked at Wilhelm. “Is there anything else?”

Wilhelm sighed as he looked down, “Sadly yes, we have a problem.”

Oscar looked at Wilhelm. “What problem?”

“I trust that you know that it is mandatory that students must have the permission of their parents to attend Grayfield, otherwise no matter how much they may want to attend Grayfield, without the permission of the teacher they cannot attend our school.” Wilhelm said.

“Isn’t it unlikely to happen?” Vanessa said as she looked at Wilhelm.”We make sure to proofread and check whether or not students forge their own transcript.”

Wilhelm looked at Vanessa before speaking. “He didn’t forge his transcript, in fact almost all of it is real. Not just that, the real parts of the transcripts are all extraordinary, excellent grades, good physique, and deep knowledge of the magic theorem. In short he's a genius. All of the transcript is real, all but one.”

“What was forged.” Winston said as he looked at Wilhelm his glasses covered his eyes making it hard to see what his eyes were expressing, but it was not that hard to think of what he was thinking. If what Wilhelm said was true then the student was truly extraordinary. But what truly irked him was what he forged, someone with that type of knowledge and skill has no reason to forge fake documents. Unless…

Wilhelm sighed as he looked at them. “Take a guess, I minted it earlier.”

Oscar’s eyes widened. “Don’t fucking tell me!”

“Yes, they forged their parents' permission letter.” Wilhelm said as he looked at Oscar. He sighed. “It was only because of headmaster Eisen that I was notified that the paper was forged.”

“How did he know that?”

Wilhelm sighed. “According to the headmaster, he’s met, seen, and talked to his mother enough times to know her signature and writing style enough to know how to distinguish the signature and wording.”

“Anyway, aside from the headmaster's impressive observation skills, I would like to know Wilhelm.” Winston looked at Wilhelm, his glasses concealed his face. “Who is the student?”

At that point all of the teachers looked at Wilhelm for the answer. Almost like time slowed down, Wilhelm said the student's name.

“Theodore Hephaestus.”
