I ran back to the village, there were no more of those creatures to be found. I could still see the villagers huddled by the fountain but I paid them no mind. I had bigger things to worry about. I rushed to my house and was greeted with horror.
"No..NO!" I screamed. The house was no longer standing. It was just a pile of rubble on the ground. I saw splotches of blood in some of the rubble, but couldn't see any bodies. I cast gravity lift on the rubble, but only a small section lifted up, nothing more then that. Instead I tried to dig my way into the ruined foundations of the house. I could feel the heat from the now put out fires, and it still burned I payed no attention to it though. I didn't care.
"Mom! Dad!" I knew they were still in there, somewhere. They never left the house without making sure I was okay. I screamed and dug until I could no longer feel my hands and dug some more. My horror was realized a short moment later. I felt an arm, I quickly pushed the rest of the rubble off and was dismayed. It was my parents, I could tell. Even though half of their flesh was burned off I could tell. They were mainly charred corpses, but I knew. They were wrapped around each other, hugging. A ripped piece of a photo on an arm that wasn't burned was clutched in my dad's hand. I could tell what it was, a family photo. The only thing I could see was myself, the rest of the image burned away.
I screamed in agony, not knowing what to do. I caused this, this was my fault. If I didn't fall into that damn well, none of this would of happened. I don't know how long I was on the ground, I do however know I was there long enough for my throat to go raw and no more tears came out. I looked at my parents corpses. I need to bury them, let them have their peace.
It took a while getting them out of the rubble. I tried to cast gravity lift on there bodies but they only floated a few inches before thudding back on the ground. But when I did I drug them up to my favorite spot. It had a nice view overlooking the town next to an old oak tree. I lifted up portions of the grass with my magic making a suitable enough hole for the both of them. I would of done seperate graves, but they were pratically melted together, I didn't want to risk anything if I tried prying them apart. Besides I'm sure they would of wanted this.
I found a bunch of large rocks to mark the graves, couldn't make a headstone. I pushed them inside and put the dirt back on top. As I looked at the grave tears threatened to spill out once again. I quickly wiped my eyes and said a few words.
"Mom, Dad. I'm okay. I made it. I know you two were probably really worried about me, so much so you didn't even leave the house. I made it though. I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. This was all my fault. Love you guys..have a good rest." My eyes watered as I looked down to the village. I passed by Tim's house as I was getting the graves ready. His house wasn't nearly as destroyed as mine was. I talked to his parents, but they didn't know where he was. I ended up leaving them crying by their front door.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
I took one last look at my makeshift grave. I was the one that started this mess, I won't let this happen again. I'll get stronger.

"You need to go to that. It'll help you understand." I turned around and Zagorath was standing behind me watching me. It almost looked like a sorrow expression on his face. As much as he could with the few actual facial features he had.
"I remember you saying something about that. What is it?" I ask him.
"It's what it says. It's a tutorial school created by the system. It'll teach you about all the basics you need to know. Speaking of which, you should have some unopened notifications from that fight earlier. Again just think about the notifications and they'll appear." I once again did as I was told.

I looked at Zagorath. "It says I have 10 stat points." He nodded.
"You can use those to boost those stats that you looked at earlier. Each level up all of the stats will increase a little but you can use them to specialize." He told me then motioned for me to do that.
I mentally clicked yes and my stat screen appeared.

There was a plus sign next to my stats indicating I could bring those up I thought about it. The stats made sense to me I'm assuming more of that Enlightenment bond knowledge. Since I'm using magic I should probably put some points into intelligence. I don't know if I should put points into dexterity or vitality however. I asked Zagorath.
"It's up to you. I personally would put them into dexterity. You won't be able to take a hit, but with high enough dexterity you won't have too. I shouldn't say this but there are a few arcane out there that dexterity would help out." I followed his suggestion. I put five points into intelligence and five points into dexterity.
I moved around a little and already felt the difference. Not much but it was there. It also looked like my Magical Power and Control went up.
"So I have to head to the capital now? That's where the classes are? That's days away!" I yell. Even by vehicle it takes at least a day. On foot it'll take at least 3-4.
"Best get moving boy." I could hear Zagorath laughing, I sighed and started walking. I guess I don't have to pack now.. I look sadly at my burnt down house. I shake my head. My conviction is set, I'll get strong enough so this won't happen again. I was the one that started this, I'll be the one to end it.
