I woke up groggy, not wanting to sit up. I have to go to school today. I slowly lay back down when I heard my mother yell for me
"SIMON! YOU BETTER GET UP!" She knew me too well. I jumped up and got dressed. My family wasn't rich, so I didn't have that many clothes. I just picked up what I found and put it on. We moved from the capital out to a small village on the outskirts. I didn't mind it here. Besides the fact none of the kids really liked me. All except Tim, so he was the only one I played with after school.
I put my clothes on and brushed my teeth. I could smell that Mom was making breakfast.
"Oh, that smells good! What is it?" I ask her.
"Bacon and Eggs. Hurry and eat! You can't be late today, remember?" She tells me. Agh, that's right. I have a test today. I groan and hurry.
"Bye mom! See ya later!" I tell her and head out the door. Like I said, we live in a small village, so the run down shabby school building is a two-minute walk. I hurry to the school building and walk to my classroom. It's just one classroom where all the kids gather. I sit at my desk and wait for it to start.
"Hey, man! I got a plan for after school! Can't wait! I looked behind me and saw Tim was talking.
"Oh cool! I can't wait then! Let's hurry with this test, then." Besides the actual test, test days are simple. We just have to take a test and then we get to go home.
"Yeah!" Tim excitedly says and sits on his own.

An hour later and we're done. Just the basic stuff. Math, English, etc. I get done and follow Tim out of the school building.
"So, what are we doing?" I ask.
"Just follow me. You'll know soon enough." Replies Tim.
"Oh..okay?" Confusion sets in. What could be a secret here? But I do as he says and follow him. He leads me towards the woods, past our houses.
"Wait, we're not going where I think we are. Are we? I'm in sudden panic. The old abandoned well near here my parents tell me to never go to. None of the kids are allowed here.
"Yup. Come on! What's the worst that can happen? It's just a well." He answers.
"I guess you have a point." We walk up to the well. Where the opening should be is just nailed down wooden boards.

"Looks like we can't get through now! Let's just leave!" I quickly say and start walking away.
"Come on! Its just some stupid boards. We can take them out." I sigh and walk back towards the well. He was right, it was pretty easy to take the boards out. We set the boards off to the side and peer down.
"See anything?" I ask him.
"Nah nothing, it's too dark. Let me grab my flashlight. I'll be right back." He says this, then darts off to his house. It really is dark as I look down at the well. I turned around when a flash catches my eye. I look back, but I end up seeing nothing.
"Okay.. weird." I say. I turn back around and wait for Tim. A minute later, he runs back with a flashlight in hand.
"Hey, I think I saw something down there for a second. Let me have the flashlight." I tell him and grab it. I lean over the well, trying to get a better look with the flashlight in hand. But something weird happened. It felt like someone pushed me and I lost my balance. Tim was on the other side of the well. He rushed to me when he realized what had happened, but it was too late. I fell head first.
"AHH! " screaming as I hurdled down.
*CRASH*
I splayed out at the bottom, hurting all over. It was a bigger hole than I thought it was.
"I'M OKAY! GET ME A LADDER OR SOMETHING!" I yell at Tim. I guess he heard me as he nodded his head and ran off.
I guess I can look for that flashing thing I saw down here now.
I grab the flashlight that landed beside me and look around. Off to the side, I notice something reflecting the light. I walk to it and examine it. It seemed to be a glass ball. How did it not break falling down here? I didn't understand.
I crouched down and grabbed it. It immediately broke in my hand. I freaked out and jumped back. How the hell did that happen? I wonder.
"I'm free…finally." A voice says. It seemed like it was coming from all around me. It was a gruff and gravely voice. Like it hasn't spoken for decades.
"You, boy, you freed me. I would like to give my thanks." It says.
"M-Me? Who are you? Where are you?" I ask.
"Oh right! Where are my manners? I am ZAGORATH!" It screams that last word, which I guess was its name.
"And I'm right behind you, boy." Now the voice stopped echoing around the walls. The voice was right next to my right ear.
"AGH!" I scream from fear for the second time today. I turn around and met face to face with..something. It was a shadowy figure. I couldn't make out any facial features besides its eyes. Its eyes glowed a blinding purple.
"Um.." I try to think of something to say, but I'm left speechless.
"Don't worry, right now I have some unfinished business to do." As he says, the ground underneath me glows the same purple as his eyes. It shapes into a circle with a symbol on it. I back until I hit the wall of the well, making myself as small as possible.
The circle kept on getting brighter. Soon enough it was getting so bright it nearly blinded me. The light shot up into the sky through the well hole, making the sky purple.
"What is going on?" I yell.
"Don't worry, you're in no danger. Not yet, at least." It-Zagorath answers.

It said my freaking name! I freak out.
"Ah, right, for freeing me, I'll help you out a little." He says, then walks towards me. He raises his hand and puts it on my head. I immediately lose consciousness. However, the last thing I see is another prompt.
