POV – Cindrelth

“Big sis Amara, why do we have to do all this useless stuff aren’t we already prepared for everything we planned?” I asked my ‘sister’ who is sitting facing me whilst indulging in wine, we are currently in my 'lair' which is more like a small palace located in the mountains near Skyfallow City. Big sis isn’t truly my sister as I am a Dragon however we have been together for a long time so we consider each other sisters.

Although I have lived for thousands of years I am still much younger than her. This was to be expected since she is a God, although just a Lesser one but still a God nonetheless.

“Didn’t I tell you before why we need to wait a bit more, and besides we both aren’t going anywhere and this planet isn’t either so just relax for a while”

“Yes, but why did you tell me to prepare this tournament that’s held tomorrow?”

“You should know more than me that out of all your descendants she has inherited the largest amount of Dragon blood and is going to be the most powerful. So, it is important that we find her suitable husband to create the strongest of children”

“Yes of course I know but even without that we should be able to take over the other continents, with my other descendants and myself, there shouldn’t be many difficulties”

“Haaaaah….. don’t underestimate the other continents, they have many powerful beings that although aren’t as powerful as you, they would still become a problem if not taken seriously.”

“Not to mention the other Dragon who is more powerful than you, and he resides on a continent that only has Magical Beasts. That continent is already a lost cause, we can’t do anything about it”

“But big sis can’t you kill him yourself and we could take over it afterwards, I mean after he dies the monsters will have to accept me as their leader”

“Yeah I could do that” big sis replied to which I immediately brightened up however…

“Yeah, I could kill him easily, however I would have to die shortly afterwards”

I unconsciously gulped after I heard that, a Lesser God dying isn’t anything to joke about. I gathered my courage to ask “Why would you die?” this earned me another sigh as big sis took a sip of her wine.

“I haven’t told you enough about God’s other than Lady Aquira, the Goddess of water and my creator. Well let me tell you more about another Goddess, one who is related to you very closely” she said as I straightened myself and started to listen even more closely.

“You know the names of the God’s, that is already the basics so you should know about the Goddess of all the Magical Beasts, Morzana. Even though you are a water Dragon, you would still be under her domain.”

“Now what’s more important is that she is a Dragon, that makes you her descendant. All of this you already know. However, what you don’t know is that she is linked to all Magical Beasts, she can feel them and she knows where they are. Of course, the countless weak Magical Beasts don’t have much of a connection to her but the stronger ones have a much stronger connection” taking another sip of her wine she continued.

“Now obviously, the strongest connection she would have would be you Dragons. She is your ancestor and you have descended from her. Adding the fact that Dragons are extremely rare throughout the countless planets, this obviously makes her protective of them”

“Now what do you think will happen when a Dragon dies unjustly at the hand of a Lesser Goddess?” she asked however without me replying she already gave the answer.

“She will send one her people to investigate and once it is found out, the Lesser Goddess will be hunted and killed.”

“But wouldn’t Goddess Aquira protect her Lesser Gods?” I hurriedly asked to which she chuckled.

“Hahaha, you think Lady Aquira will go out of her way to protect me, I am only a low ranked Lesser Goddess, I can be replaced. Besides. even if Lady Aquira wished to protect me she is not able to”

“Why is that?”

“Because the Dragon Goddess is one of the three top strongest out of all the Gods and Goddesses, who would be able to stop her? If lady Aquira tried, she would only get injured in the process”

Silence ensured as I sat the contemplating what I had just heard. After a while big sis spoke again.

“Now do you understand why I can’t kill the Dragon without dying myself?”

“Yes, I understand but….”

“What is it?”

“Ummm, who are the other two?”

“What?”

“Who are the other two you mention were the strongest?”

She became quiet after my question however soon she started laughing.

“Pfft, HAHAHAHAHA, my dear sister after all I said, that is what you wish to know?” she enquired with an amused face to which I just nodded.

“Hahaha, very well. The two others are the God of Life and the Goddess of Death, don’t bother asking me why those three are the strongest even I do not completely know”

Again, it was quiet for a while but I couldn’t hold in my curiosity. As I was sneaking glances, big sis had noticed so she asked what I wished to know.

“Amongst those three, who sits at the top?”

“Hmmm, no one knows, not even the three of them”

“What? How is that possible”

“Well the only way to know is for them to battle to determine a victor however if those three were to fight it would end up in severely destroying the Mortal planets and the Realm of Gods”

“WHAT?! WHY?!”

She sighed but still answered “Ah you have always been a curious Dragon.”

“Alright listen closely I am not repeating myself. Gods and Goddess all have ‘laws’ that they governed, for example Lady Aquira governs over water, you can say everything water is related to her, the oceans, the lakes, rivers and even the rain is her territory”

“Now if Lady Aquira was to get severely injured it would mean that the very law that she governs will be in disorder. What does this mean? It means that all the things related to water will become chaotic, it will cause mass destruction in the Mortal worlds, the Realm of Gods would be better off but there would still be some destruction”

“So do you understand what I am trying to say to you? What would happen when the God and Goddesses who govern over Life, Death and Magical beasts get injured?” she questioned.

I didn’t have to think for too long as my mouth blurted out the answer in my head subconsciously, “The entire Mortal world and the Realm of Gods would face destruction…..”

“Exactly…” big sis said as we both went quiet.

We were both quiet for a good 10 minutes before big sis spoke up again.

“Don’t worry about it CIndrelth, they won’t fight each other. If they do, then that would mean that He will arrive and if He were to awaken….” she said that last part shivering and fear was clear on her face.

“He, who is He?”

“Huh? Oh, forget about what I just said, I blurted out something I shouldn’t have”

Although she said that, I still couldn’t get it out of my head. He? Who is He? Someone who could evoke fear in big sis. I kept looking at big sis hoping she would give answers however she was ignoring me entirely. Not one to give up, I got up and started moving around to make her look at me.

“Big sis” “Big sis look at me” “Big sis who is He” “Tell me, tell me, tell me”

As the time went on the Lesser Goddess got increasingly annoyed till she snapped.

“STOP YOU LITTLE BRAT!” she shouted, stopping me from making faces at her.

“You’re a Dragon, one who has lived for a fairly long time yet……haaaa….yet you still act like a brat”

“Hehe big sis you know that I am only like this around you, I have a reputation to uphold as an old and powerful Dragon”

She just looked at me repeatedly sighing.

“All the things I have told you are already things that could get me in trouble”

I immediately quieted down after that as I realized big sis risked a lot to tell me all of this yet I kept asking for me.

“Don’t look so sad, it’s not like anyone will find out and you won’t tell on your big sis, now will you?”

“No! Of course I wouldn’t!”

“Also in maybe the next 100 or so years we might get upgraded to a High Ranked Major Planet so you would have been told all of this anyways and since I know you will be thinking about what I said for a long time, I might as well tell you”

My eyes lit up as I heard that “Really? Really big sis you will tell me?”

“Yes my dear little sister, anything for you”

After she said that she finished her wine and stood up, I was going to follow her but she told me to keep seated.

“I am going to show you a memory of mine which will explain everything”

She walked over to me and put her hand on my head, “Don’t resist it otherwise you will get seriously hurt” I nodded and relaxed as I felt her power take over me and my vision darkened for a second.

Once my vision returned I was hovering in the air in what seemed to be space, below me as far as the eye can see in all direction was land. Some places had massive lakes and rivers while some places were covered in snow and others in molten lava. Even from up here I could make out so enormous Magical Beasts. I knew that this place was just a part of the Realm of Gods. However, my attention was brought back to what was happening in front of me.

Next to me were other men and women who were wearing different attires however I could tell that they were Lesser Gods and Goddesses as they had a similar aura to big sis. Currently they were all staring at two figures who were facing each other, they were quite a distance away from each other and us but I could see everything.

One of the figures was a splitting image of the statues I had seen in the church of Goddess Aquira. She was wearing a white sleeveless dress which went down to her ankles, she had blue hair that flowed like water down to her waist and a perfect face. All of this would have been the case if she was in perfect condition however currently, her clothes were torn at places, her hair was a mess and she was wounded in several places.

She wasn’t bleeding though, her wounds were covered in what seemed to be magma, it looked incredibly painful but looking at her face she seemed too angry to care about that.

On the other side was a huge middle aged man around 9 ft. tall with muscles bulging everywhere on his body, he was not wearing anything except shorts which were in extremely bad shape. On his head, instead of hair was golden fire, just looking at it made me feel like I’m burning inside. This man was the God of Fire, Lukaros. He too was wounded and similarly to Goddess Aquira he wasn’t bleeding but had ice shards imbedded in his wounds, freezing the area around.

Both were glaring at each other with eyes filled with hatred. Instead of saying anything both prepared to attack. Behind Lady Aquira a massive spear of crystal clear ice was forming, even being a user of water and ice I was still shivering in the mere presence of that spear. Behind the God of Fire there was a fist of golden magma forming, this fist had a worse effect than the ice to all the water Lesser Gods and Goddesses as they all backed off.

When their attacks were fully formed, without waiting they attacked. The spear and the fist flew at each other leaving a trail of ice and magma. Just as they were about to collide a loud voice resounded that sent chills down my spine and made me quiver in fear.

“ENOUGH!”

 Looking around to locate the owner of that voice, I saw a man standing in between the two attacks with two hands up, one facing each attack.

The next thing that happened baffled me, it was something that I will never forget. These two attacks that could have easily wiped out many planets seemingly disappeared into an invisible wall right before they were about to collide and hit the man.

Once the two attacks had disappeared I got a closer look at the man, even though I was quite a distance away I could easily see him. He had short white hair, white eyes that had a golden glow to them and was wearing a traditional white robe that had a black belt in the middle. His face could be said to be handsome however a lot of the Lesser Gods were much better looking, the only thing that would be different would be his eyes.

Currently he was looking around with an annoyed look.  He spotted both the God and Goddess and again what happened next completely shocked me and filled me with fear.

“YOU. STUPID. MORONS. NEVER. FUCKING. LEARN.    YOU. FUCKERS. ALWAYS. KEEP. CAUSING. PROBLEMS. AFTER. PROBLEMS.” Each word that he said was accompanied with a slap, he was moving from one to the other so fast that I wasn’t even able to see. All that was heard was his voice and the slapping sound.

After he finished he ended up where he first arrived holding the two by the neck. He looked at both once and threw them back a few meters in front of him.

Once they finally stood up correctly, both had different expressions. Goddess Aquira was looking at the man with trepidation and fear whilst the God of Fire although he was also fearful he still looked at the man with hatred and rage.

The man sighed and then started to talk “Listen up shit for brains, you are going to fix the chaos that you have caused with your fighting or you will face severe punishment. I am not going to clean up after you two fuckers so hurry up and get going”

“BUT—” Goddess Aquira was about to speak but was interjected by the man.

“What, are you going to say that you are injured? Well who’s fault is that and you’re both not that fragile that you will die from those injuries, here I will even help you clear them” he said as he waved his hand and the magma and ice disappeared.

“Now go and quell the chaos that you caused, I am going to spend what little time I have enjoying.” After he said that he looked at us the water and fire Lesser Gods present.

“You lot will help them too, make sure these two idiots do not fuck it up even more”

None replied mostly due to fear.

The God of Fire was still looking at the man with the same expression but still did as he was told and disappeared along with the Lesser Gods.  Goddess Aquira looked at the man for a couple of seconds and disappeared.

That’s where my vision darkened for a few seconds and then returned to find big sis sitting down sweating.

“BIG SIS! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!”

“Don’t yell, I’m fine. I just had to spend a lot of energy showing you that memory”

I hurriedly went over to big sis and rested her head on my lap wiping away her sweat.

I sat there for a long time with big sis still resting on my lap. I was thinking about what I had just been through. Gods and Goddess, the ones who are supposed to be the strongest beings in existence were beaten and insulted by one man.

“Big sis?”

“Hmmm?”

“Who was that God?”

She didn’t reply right away and waited for a couple of minutes.

“He isn’t a God”

“He’s not a God, then how was he so powerful?”

“Even I am not able to get those answers right now for you little sis. All I can tell you is that he is the most powerful being in existence, much more powerful than the Gods and His name is Matzal”

“Matzal…..” I kept repeating it silently.
