Chapter Five

Lily kept running as if her life depended on it. She couldn't bear the thought of being caught by Zion. Finally, in the distance, she saw two figures walking toward her.

She recognized them as the two knights who were currently staying in the village.

"Please help me!" she shouted, feeling a glimmer of hope as she ran toward them.

Breathless and desperate, she hugged one of the knights and spoke urgently, explaining how they were attacked and Grandpa Ray was in trouble.

But something unexpected happened.

"Is this the beauty you told us about, Zion?" one of the knights spoke, his eyes filled with perverted thoughts.

Lily froze in shock, her heart sinking with dread. She had heard rumors about these two knights, about their lust, and now she realized that they were true.

"No, you don't understand," she protested, struggling to pull away from their grasp. "Zion is dangerous, and he's hurting people. We need your help."

But the knights only laughed, their eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"Zion is our student," the other knight said. "And if he wants you, then we're happy to oblige."

Lily felt sick to her stomach, realizing that she was in even greater danger than before. She had no choice but to run, to escape the clutches of these vile men and find another way to get help.

With a heavy heart, she turned and fled once more. But unfortunately, the knights had grabbed her tightly, making it difficult for her to move.

"Stop resisting, I'll be gentle with you" Zion's manic smile made Lily lose all hope.

Her eyes widened with terror and desperation as she took a step back.

"No," she gasped, her voice shaking with fear.

"Please, don't do this to me."

"Where's Grandpa? It's been an hour since they left," Sid thought to himself, feeling a sense of unease creeping over him. Despite his injuries, he forced himself to stand up and grabbed a wooden stick to help him walk

Sid's body was aching with every step, his mind racing with worry for Grandpa Ray and Lily. But he refused to give up, and instead grabbed a lantern to light his way. As he trudged down the deserted road, the darkness seemed to press in on him from all sides, as if warning him of the danger ahead.

Despite his growing unease, he pushed on, his thoughts consumed with thoughts of his loved ones. And then, just as he rounded a bend, he saw something that made his heart stop: Grandpa Ray, lying motionless on the ground, his body drenched in blood. The sight sent a jolt of fear through his body, and he knew that he had to act fast if he was going to save his family.

"Grandpa!!" He shouted, his voice echoing through the darkness as he dashed forward, forgetting the pain that had been racking his body just moments before.

As he reached his grandfather's side, he saw that the old man was gasping for air, his face contorted in pain. Blood had pooled around him, creating a sickening, dark stain on the ground. Sid's heart clenched in his chest at the sight, and he knew that time was running out.

"Don't worry, Grandpa Ray. I'm here and I'm going to save you," Sid sobbed, his tears mixing with the blood and sweat on his face.

He took his grandfather's hand, holding it tightly as he tried to think of a way to help him. The sight of his beloved grandfather lying there, helpless and in pain, was almost too much to bear. But Sid knew that he couldn't give up. He had to be strong for his family, and he would do whatever it took to protect them.

"It's too late, Sid. You've been a great grandson to me," Grandpa Ray said weakly, coughing up blood.

"I wasn't able to protect Lily, I'm sorry. Below the shack, there lies the secret of your birth." With those words, he took his last breath, leaving Sid to grieve and wonder what his grandfather could have meant.

He felt his grandfather's last breath leave his body, and he wanted to grieve for him more, but he knew that Lily was still in danger.

"Wait for me, Grandpa. I'll save Lily first," he said, his voice filled with sadness.

He followed Lily's tracks deep into the forest, but the further he went, the more he realized that there were no longer any signs of people around. He searched frantically for her, but she was nowhere to be found. Just as he was about to give up hope, he saw a figure lying motionless on the ground ahead of him.

Sid's heart sank as he approached the figure lying on the ground. As he drew closer, he realized with horror that it was Lily, her body covered in wounds and scratches. The once-beautiful and pure woman he had admired was now unrecognizable, and he felt a pang of anger and sadness wash over him as he knelt down beside her.

Lily opened her eyes and forced a smile, her body trembling with the memories of the horror she had endured. She looked up at Sid, her eyes haunted and her expression pained.

"I'm glad you found me," she said weakly. "But the things that happened...they'll stay with me forever." Her voice trailed off as she closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

He remained silent, his heart heavy with guilt and self-loathing.

"Why am I so weak?" he thought to himself.

"Why am I so useless?" For the first time in his life, he felt a deep sense of shame for being born so weak and powerless. . He knew that he had to be stronger, that he had to do more to protect the people he loved. But how?

As Sid sat there, lost in his thoughts and regrets, he suddenly remembered his grandfather's last words: "Below the shack, there lies the secret of your birth." He looked down at Lily, and then back up at the forest around him.

Could it be that the answers he was seeking were hidden somewhere underground? With newfound determination, Sid gently lifted Lily's battered body into his arms and began to make his way back to his home.

He didn't bother going to the village, knowing how corrupt and dangerous that place was.

Despite his exhaustion and the pain that wracked his body, he knew that he had to be strong for Lily. He walked as quickly as he could, his thoughts consumed by the mystery of his birth and the secrets that lay hidden beneath the earth. As he finally reached his home, he set Lily down gently and began digging into the ground.
