Chapter two

Now who should I to next...Hmmm....

I’ll go to Izra’s pope, then after all that is done I’ll go meet the amphibian race and make them attack the eastern continent. After that I’ll summon some random person from another world here... No one will notice it since I’m just summoning a random human... Well I’ll think about it later, now I’ll go to Suna, where the pope is supposed to be.

***

I just arrived at Suna, and right away I see a huge church, bigger than most palaces that i have seen in this world. I know this because I’ve been creating some chaos in some kingdoms, not major ones... Just a little chaos...

Anyways I finally found the pope. Everything is set, now how should I do this? Should i make him piss his pants? No... I’ll go with a standard -TREMBLE IN FEAR MORTAL FOR I AM HERE-. No wait Izra is a god of nature... Whatever.

Pope Ran POV

Knocking is heard and a priest enters, “Your holiness Pope Ran, news have arrived that there are a lot of disturbances in the western continent”

“ Hmmm, is that so “ taking the report from his hands and sending him away, I start reading

“ Ho, this is very interesting “ It seems the western continent has been having some trouble, it might escalate into even bigger trouble for them. Now the question is, what should we do about this? If we attack now, we can strike while they are fighting two threats at once, but if we attack later we could make the slaves our allies. Although it seems the slaves are spreading a new religion, god of truth Urlus is it now... I’ll discuss with the council later.

My thinking is interrupted when a bright light flashes, and suddenly I am down prostrating on the floor. I look up and see a naked man shining in divine radiance that has mixtures of green in it. I lover my head and start to prostrate willingly. It seems my god has descended.

“ Rise pope, I’m here to give my warnings “ My god starts talking and I lower my head even lower. Warnings his radiance says? “ Warnings your divine holiness? “

“ Yes, warnings my child. It is an era of turmoil. Millions shall die and nature shall be ruined, if we don’t do something that is, although the heretics of the west are facing trouble, we shall face it too. “ If it is as his holiness says, then we must prepare ourselves! “That is very troubling, your radiance. I shall go prepare the men to defend the eastern continent. “

“ Do not worry, as a hero shall arrive. I do not know what kind of hero he will be, but he shall have my highest blessings “ A hero? We are saved then, although if he has the highest blessing, we should control him.

“ How should we prepare this hero? And if he is as unpredictable as you say, should we control him? I’d feel much safer if he was brainwashed.”

“ Prepare him with your best weapons and armor, instruct him and give him the highest education in military matters, as for controlling him... You will, but do not go any further than that, no threats, no brainwashing. He shall be my hero, not my slave “

If his holiness says so, then I accept. “ When shall this hero arrive? “

“ He shall arrive when we need him the most, surrounded by our enemies, and it shall be soon “ How worrisome.

Although something has been bothering me for a while“ Your divine grace, if I may, why are you naked? “

He freezes for a second, then answers “ It is because I am one with nature... I do not need clothes. “

“ Then should the priests and I get naked too? “

“ Yes, but not in public, the people might worry, but since you are mortal you also need to hum this poem”

He stops for a second, and starts reciting it

“You put your right foot in

You take your right foot out

You put your right foot in

And you shake it all about

You do the hokey pokey

And you turn yourself around

That's what it's all about.

Anyways, I did what I came here to do. Goodbye”

After leaving our new holy lyrics on my hands, a light envelops the room and his shining radiance disappears.

Olrus POV

I’ll keep an eye out for the pope, maybe they’ll sing it against the amphibians too. Which is where I am at currently,at the amphibian capital city. Entering what seems to be a council of twelve people, which are luckily gathered here, saves me the trouble of gathering them. What are they talking about anyways?

“ Our food supply is running low” says random old guy number one.

“ What do you suggest we should do? “ says the middle guy, he seems to be the most important.

“ We should attack the deeper parts of the ocean, or the surface people “ says old guy number one again.

Nods of acknowledgment run throughout the room. Well this is gonna make it even easier. All right lets do what I was gonna do before with the pope...

Merran the leader of the council POV

What a mess. The council is split in two sides, the ones that want to war with the surface people, and the ones that want to war with the people in the deeper oceans.

They are forgetting that we ca only last minutes in the lower ocean because of the high pressure, and that we can only last for a day in the surface. Arsit is stirring them up too, this is not the time for quarreling, we are in danger.

Suddenly, before I was about to quieten them up, a terrifying shout is heard, letting you think that the ocean would be split in half. I’m surprised no one fainted.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

“ TREMBLE IN FEAR MORTALS, FOR I AM HERE “ says the being, no... The god.

“ I have heard you desperate pleas, and as I am your god, your salvation and hope, I have come to answer them. Be thankful!” Looking up, not daring to look at his eyes, I saw the divine being, with his head high, not even glancing at us pitiful mortals.

“ It seems your people have forgotten the great me, Arlus, the god of the ocean. It is forgivable since i haven’t shown myself in centuries. Now, tell me your situation mortal.” the godly being says, looking at me. I hurry and start speaking, not speaking a single lie.

“ Our people are running out of food, so our only choice is to attack and steal it. We can attack the lower depths of the ocean, where food is plenty. But our bodies do not allow as to, as the pressure would kill us in minutes. Or we can attack the surface, where we can only last a day without the air moisture.” It seems that got Arlus thinking, because he hasn’t spoken for a couple of seconds.

“ Be happy mortal, as I have found a solution for your sorry selves. I shall grant you a device that lets you stay in the surface for 3 weeks. But for this you shall fulfill my wishes. You shall obey me, make your people worship me, and shall scream my holy words when you are battling the surface people. I shall also grant you minor blessings, and if you do well, bigger ones. You shall also war them until, you exhaust them and take all the riches of their coasts.I shall also grant you minor blessings, and if you do well, bigger ones. Understood? “

What a deal. I glance at the other council members and i see all of them furiously nodding, obviously happy for the deal. Although something seems very fishy. My senses are telling me that this Arlus is a very dubious person, and is only acting proud and arrogant. It tells me I shall regret this by the next time I meet him again, and they have never wronged me once. But it seems I have no choice than to accept.

Prostrating, I try and act as small as possible “Your greatness radiance glorifies us with his words. I’m extremely happy to accept this deal.”

“Good, now goodbye mortals, may we meet again” he says with a smile that screams -This is going to be fun- to me. It really is dubious.

Orlus POV

That was fun. Well anyways I should start the summoning ritual. This is gonna take a couple of days to make it as secure and accurate as possible since I’m not that amazing at magic. Don’t want other gods to find me.

Now that I think about it, shouldn’t I make the hero suspect the pope, then maybe betray them and join another side? That’s much better.

I’m still going with the plan of making a naive orphan with a sense justice the hero of Aran. Although I should make him stick with them for a long time, and not change sides and go with the slaves or the others.

Gabriel (former slave 00042) POV

A day after his greatness left, we have the mine under control. I have also sent multiple agents in many slave centers. As his holiness told me, I shall free the oppressed slaves, and instead enslave the former strong. The slave owners and the nobility. I shall make a realm for us former slaves where no one shall be able to touch us again.

“Champion of the god of truth Urlus, we former slaves, thank you for freeing us and taking revenge for us.”

A giant group of all the former slaves that were in the mine is gathered before me. I suppose it is the time for my speech.

“I accept your thanks, but if you may listen to me. The western continent will not accept our revolution. They will come after us with armies and try to slaughter us. Will we yield to them?”Stopping and looking at the crowd, most are frightened. Some have seen to taken a new resolve .

“ And I say NO. Let us build a nation for ourselves. Free all slaves of the west and take them as citizens. As that is the goal that my god has given to us. To fight, to break free from the chains that have been set on us. We shall make a republic and slaughter all our enemies with the blessings that our god, Urlus has given to us. Will you fight with me, or run away as cowards living under someone again?”

So i stop, and look at my people. Most are cheering, although some are frowning. Well they shall be weeded out in time.

Then i turn around at the selected leaders, and as I can see, all of them are happy, and dripping with blood lust towards the kingdom. Good, they shall be great servants for our god, and great additions for our armies.

***

2 days have passed, and I have finally gotten a message from a scout that the kingdom is preparing an army of 40.000 troops. They seem to have underestimated us, and only gather two thirds of their army and have left behind any allies they might have.

Then i look at our troops. Filled to the brim with weapons and armor, in addition to our blessing, we have 50.000 troops that are ready for combat in addition to the ones from multiple other cities, we have well over 100.000 combat ready slaves, removing most women, the wounded, the old and children, and the invalids.

We have had several very small scale battles, where we gave our enemies the wrong idea about us, although they seem to have still sent a lot of troops. Led by the crown prince and the generals no less.

It does not matter though, as we shall crush them all, and take control of the kingdom. We will have the commoners on our side as well, as we are fighting for a republic, where they will not become serfs and servants for arrogant nobles anymore.

Then i look at the statue of our god. Although made out of wood, we have one in city. I prostrate, and start praying to his holiness, Urlus.

“May you grant us your blessings in the upcoming war, to destroy my the enemies of my people, so I can complete the task you gave me, eye am stewped, may you bless us all.

***

5 days later

Our armies are standing in front of each other. The armies of the kingdom are clearly better equipped than ours, they also have cavalry and mages, the kingdoms army is well fed, while ours is a little malnourished, because of our massive troop count, but due to us looting captured cities, no one has starved. Since we have the blessings of our god and faith in his glory, all have stayed on his path, as such we stand here today.

As the order to charge is given, our armies march into each other.

40000 troops, of which 200 are mages and 5000 cavalry, clash into our troops of 124000 infantry.

The battle goes well, and by his blessing, we encircle them. charging with all our forces, we crush any hope they might have. First go the mages, then the knights.

Charging straight through enemy camp, as the enemies lines have been breached, we slaughter them. Our losses are many, but we shall prevail.

In the center i see the generals and the crown prince. Charging straight in their direction, I kill the mages and guards blocking my way, and finally arrive to him.

He screams and gets his sword, but before he can do anything, I decapitate him. It is a shame I can’t make him into a slave, but we are in the middle of a battlefield.

I look around and see, the battle is won.

***

It is a great victory. We lost many troops, but they are trivial in front of this victory.

We have managed to slaughter all the enemies, except the few fleeing ones. And killed most of their generals, all the mages the kingdom has, and most importantly, the crown prince. The king has only on son and no other relatives, as such he will be furious, and call for his allies and remaining troops. But it shall be late by then, as we will have captured all towns and castles, and freed all slaves, we shall destroy them all at once after we consolidate our troops.

And so we begin marching again, towards our new homes, towards our new realm, towards our safe haven, towards the new republic that his holiness, wanted me to build.
