Author note

Hey readers!

Firstly, I'm sorry that this isn't the start of the fourth arc, but the start of this year has had a lot of ups and downs for me.

Unfortunately, one of those downs was God of Discovery. After I finished fixing my outline for the fourth arc, I got attacked by both a heavy episode and a horrible plot bunny. As such, I haven't written anything at all for the fourth arc. While this arc already has a first draft, quite a few things would have to be changed about it due to new and edited events in the previous arcs, and I haven't gotten around to doing any edits or re-writes.

Having said that, though, after re-evaluating my fourth arc, I currently have rough outlines and some drafts for up to arc 7, plans and ideas for arcs 8-10, and completed drafts that I will re-write completely from a new POV for arcs 11-13. Oh... and there are even ideas for arcs 14 and 15, but we'll see how that goes ;)

So, what this all means is that I am not abandoning this story! Not going to happen!!! However, God of Discovery - Arc 4 will be delayed a little longer.

As for time?

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

I'm going to estimate another month, probably two.

That plot bunny I mentioned? It's taken over my writing where it could and I've been trying to focus on getting that out so I can get it to beta readers ASAP. The main thing that's been holding me back with it is that I keep thinking and feeling guilty about not writing God of Discovery. The thing is, GoD is my baby - it is a story I've been wanting to tell for a very long time and one that is always in the back of my mind. It does not, however, pay the bills. I took a break from writing GoD last year in Autumn as I wrote and published my poly dragon fantasy Soultaming the Serpent and then another break in December as I published my sapphic giant space mermaids sci-fi The Star Catcher.

In both cases, I immediately came back to GoD because I LOVE this story and I love D'Argen. I want to keep writing about him.

And I will!

But I want to write it with joy and not pressure. I want to get something out that you'll love as much as I do. At the moment, that love is going toward my sci-fi project 3V3, which I'm hoping to publish in the next few months (hint hint, if you're interested in being a beta reader for a post-apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi with religious connotations, reach out to me).

So, I hope that I can finish this draft of 3V3 as soon as possible without thinking and feeling guilty for not writing GoD, and once it's in beta hands, I will be knocking out chapters for God of Discovery as fast as I can write them.

I hope you all understand and are willing to come back to this story when it's back up and running again :)

Thank you for the support so far,

Konstance
