Hey all!

First of all, thanks so much for getting this far and having this adventure with D’Argen and co. I know I’ve been absent from writing for a hot minute and the only excuse I have is that I didn’t plan this out as well as I thought.

I ended up writing myself into a very tight corner that made the 2nd arc hard to write and then got me completely stuck now in the 4th arc (with it looking the same for the 5th and 6th >.<). 3rd arc I love - that was a fun one that allowed me to torture D’Argen as much as I wanted to without feeling bad about it 😅

But basically, after chatting with an amazing friend about this story and the issues that were coming up for me, I came to what I thought would be a very hard decision to do so early on.

No, I am NOT dropping this story.

I am, however, going to go back and rework it. One of the major issues that I had with it is that making the MCs unkillable at this point made it hard for me to have proper stakes that worked for me. Add to that the fact that I’ve been eyeballing the first arc for months now with an itch to fix it and, it’s been decided.

God of Discovery is going to get taken down from all platforms it’s currently on by the end of the year. I will be reworking the magic system, the pantheon, the relationships between the characters, the plot lines, the world itself, the covers, the maps, and even the title (you may have noticed a pen name change already 😉).

I don’t want to put down any dates, but I will keep this story here under HIATUS until I’m ready to start posting the new version, and will make an announcement about it then.

If you have any specific things you liked/disliked, let me know (comments, PMs, anything works) - I’ll be working on replotting the entire story, so here’s your chance to have your favourite scenes stay or your most hated ones gone :)
