As Xeroc soared across the brilliant blue sky, the wind whipping his glowing ethereal white hair into a frenzy as he flew at an unprecedented pace, his gaze scanned the breathtaking landscape below. Endless grassy plains, majestic mountains, and ancient forests stretched out before him, a canvas of untouched wilderness. "I'm just drifting aimlessly now," he mused. "Perhaps it's best to familiarize myself with this world, especially since it's from an unknown realm."
"Despite being able to do it for days, not once have I ever felt tired, instead I am filled with boredom. Does it have anything to do with my Racial class? Well I guess Dryads don't tire as humans do" he mused
After surveying his surroundings for days, Xeroc concluded that the only signs of life were the occasional animal or monster. No civilization was in sight, not even from a 6-mile radius. "So, should I experiment some more and test the limits of my abilities?" he wondered. "It's best to know what I'm capable of before venturing into the unknown."
With his admin privileges still intact, his newfound invincibility confirmed and the power he still posessed as he became on with his player character, which could be counted as one of the strongest in the game.
"Would I still be the same in this world? For all I know there could be others like me, If they found out about my existence. It's highly likely that some of them will eliminate me because they don't want a competition. And would want to hog this world to themselves due to their greed.. In order to avoid such an encounter with them, I should know first what I'm capable of and try to understand more the privileges that I've brought with me and last but not least is to gather knowledge, information that would deem crucial to my success." He said, with a tinge of anxiety within him
"So.. where should I even begin?" As Xeroc pondered his next move. "Wait... can I still delete or ban someone or something? Can I ban myself?"
He hesitated before shaking off the morbid thought. "Let's not do that." Instead, he decided to test that theory by finding someone or something to... "delete in this world, literally.. I don't like the sound of that. Well, here we go!"
With renewed purpose, Xeroc took to the skies once more and after some time flew over a dense forest. Amidst the trees, he spotted a monstrous creature with a beast-like appearance, its eyes blazing with fury as it attacked an elven girl clad in light armor suitable for a ranger. She was surrounded by the beast's minions and on the verge of defeat.
"Oh, well, here goes another one of those clichéd 'damsel in distress' trope I kept hearing bout," Xeroc said with a wry smile. "Fine, I'll play along with your games, for now."
"Let's try casting a spell onto myself" As he proceeded to do so, suddenly his eyes glowed bright blue for a fleeting moment, the only visible sign that the system was activating in his mind. "Alright, which spell do I, ohh wait.. what's this?," Rather than a spell, something else appeared and it was
"Inventory... it doesn't appear like a system in novels but is instead visualized in my head. Let's just try..."
He focused his thoughts, and to his surprise, a sword materialized out of thin air.
"Isn't this the sword from my previous avatar?" he muttered to himself, his mind racing with excitement.
"Does that mean I can also switch avatars as well?" He exclaimed, his voice trembling with anticipation.
As he continued to stare at the sword in his hand, he suddenly snapped back to reality. "Oh no, no time for this! Let's go save her!"
With that, Xeroc charged off towards the forest, determined to rescue the elf.
Meanwhile the battle made the trees around them shook with the ferocity of the fight between the elven girl and the monstrous Gidra. Rocks crumbled, and craters yawned open, revealing a tale of unrelenting conflict. The elf, now surrounded by Gidra's minions, seemed to be on the brink of defeat.
Gidra, his voice dripping with malice, sneered at her. "You're reign ends here, princess!"
The elf's gaze narrowed. "You've been following me all this time? How did you know I've been traveling across human territory?"
Gisra's grin grew wider. "Should I tell? After all, it shouldn't concern someone who's about to die."
The elf's expression turned cold. "Ugh... Once my family finds out about this, it'll be over for you."
Gidra laughed, his voice like thunder. "Hahaha! Bark all you want princess, I'm Gidra, one of the demon Lord's Elites! I'll savor this moment as I tear off your flesh, leaving the scraps for my subordinates to feast on and devour your..."
His words were cut short as a sudden impact struck him from behind. The elf let out a yelp as a cloud of debris obscured her vision.
As the smoke cleared, she found herself face to face with Gidra... or rather, what was left of him. The beast stood up, his body disfigured by the impact, but still standing. Then, in a flash of light, he was torn in two, his remains crashing to the ground. Revealed amidst the wreckage was a majestic knight clad in white armor.
The elf's expression was a mix of awe and fear as she beheld the knight's transformation. He turned towards Gidra's underlings, his hand glowing with a soft light. The humanoid beasts froze in terror as their bodies began to petrify.
The knight's glow intensified, and as he aimed his hand to them and reached out with his palm. Suddenly in a flash of blinding light, The trees, the grass, the items of Gidra's underlings vanished, along with all non-living objects around them. It was as if a miracle had occurred.
The minions let out a collective shriek as they frantically searched their bodies for their missing weapons only to find none. The atmosphere grew tense with fear as they stared at each other in panic.
As The elf's eyes widened as she saw what had happened in front of her. She was taken aback by the sight in front of her, it's not something that normally happen in this world even in her hundreds of years of living not once had she seen such a thing.
As she beheld the knight's majestic figure. The air seemed to shimmer around him, imbued with an aura of divinity. Seeming indifferent to the things around him
As they saw this, they couldn't move out of fear of the surrealness of the view in front of them, petrifying them into statues rendering them unable to move. The atmosphere was heavy with an otherworldly power.
Suddenly, The knight's muttering tone sent shivers down their spines. "I wonder, if I can do the same thing to them."
As the knight then spoke in a muttering tone, his eyes turned and fixed on the petrified minions. "Hmm... Deletion can only be applied to non-living things."
"How's about we try, ban?" He raised his hand again, and the beast's minions, knowing what was about to happen, scattered in every direction. But as the light flashed once more, the elf watched in awe as the knight vanished the foes before him, leaving not a single trace behind. Every one of them disappeared completely.
From the elf's point of view, it looked like as if a knight in shining armor was protecting her, the one she constantly hear from bards, from fairytales. But seeing one in front of her, she can't help but feel at awe at such a sight.
It seemed like time slowed down around her as she saw the light shone brightly at the knight illuminating his figure, it was as if it was a work of an angel, a miracle. The process caught her at a daze, trapped in the miraculous moment that not anyone could see.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
The last thing she heard were Gidra's underlings muffled cries and shrieks in their final moments before they dissappeared completely.
The elf was left standing in shock, her mind reeling from the sudden display of power. Then, the knight turned towards her, his voice like thunder echoing through the woods. "Speak to no one about this!"
The elf was shaken as she snapped back to reality, flustered, and surprised by the sudden command. She instinctively replied, her voice trembling with fear and respect, "Y-yes! I will never tell a soul! I swear on my life and my family's name!"
The knight's gaze bore into hers for a moment before he spoke again. "Then that settles it. Farewell."
With a final flash of light, he disappeared into thin air. The elf was left stunned, her eyes fixed on the spot where he had stood. She kneeled down in exhaustion in the middle of the forest, her mind reeling from the events that had just unfolded.
She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. "Was that a human? No, it couldn't be... They're capable of divine magic, but not to this extent... could it be.. The ancient one's? I thought they're someone that exists only in myths and legends. Have they finally descended?"
As she lay there, she pondered the identity of this mysterious being: Was it human? An angel? Or perhaps a diety? She couldn't fathom how someone could wield such divine magic.
she couldn't help but contemplate the events that had taken place that day. The sudden transformation of Gidra, the display of power by the knight... It was too much to process.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, Xeroc gazed out at the darkening forest. "Dammit, I forgot to heal her," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. "Well, nevermind. If I did, she'd probably mistake me for an angel or a deity or something... that'll be troublesome."
He surveyed his surroundings, satisfied that there were no signs of danger lurking in the shadows nor any presence of monsters nearby. "And I can at least leave her alone now," he said to himself.
As he began to transform back from his knightly figure into his original form, he couldn't help but ponder the implications of his newfound abilities. "So, I just transformed into that knight, which is one of my player characters. That means I can also change into my previous avatars... and I can delete non-living things, and ban people..."
He trailed off, lost in thought. "But can I unban them? Like my old player character... Maybe I'll do that later..."
Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Can I also summon other players?" He looked around, wondering if there was some sort of system or mechanism that would allow him to do so. Then, a realization dawned on him.
I think I remember now how those devs do it, as he raise his hands as if to summon something, he then smiled knowing it worked and looking at something in front of him that only he can see.
"Summon... oh, there's the list of players! Wait, it's all me? These are all my player characters, including the knight!"
The visualization in his mind was like a strange mixture of imagination, memory, and subconscious space. "Guess I'll try and summon them," he said to himself.
Four figures materialized before him. One was the white knight he had once used, named Axel
An elven mage with piercing eyes and flowing silver hair wearing a pure white robe adorned with intricate designs of gold, named Mercury.
A chaos knight with a human-like face hidden behind a skull-adorned helmet and dark armor, an undead demon with a skeletal themed armor and dark robes named Valakh.
And a female avatar with silky white hair and fair skin that seemed almost divine as she exceeds an aura and beauty of a goddess, she was named C'manthra. It was once used by his sister before she abandoned it, her avatar is an imitation of the greek gods she used to love with a leaf-like crown and silky white drapes that extended below her feet.
"Summoned players, can you talk?" Xeroc asked with a glimmer of hope that they'd actually be alive enough to interact with him.
"Yes," they replied in unison.
"Are you by any chance alive? Can you interact the way a normal person does?" He added
"Yes" they answered in harmony, "But we couldn't interact the way humans do," the knight Axel added. His hope then crumbled and is left with utter dissapointment
"I was hoping I won't have to go through this journey alone.. well nevertheless I felt at ease by your presence, even if it you function like bots."
"We're pleased to hear you say that," C'manthra added as the others nodded in agreement "Oh?" Xeroc mused, they're pleased? Does that mean they'll improve the more I interact with them?
"Well do you feel like your able to act on your own free will?" He said.
"No," they said in unison once more.
As Xeroc processed this information, his mind reeled with the implications. He looked around at the gathered players, feeling a sense of unease wash over him.
"Alright, Thankyou for your time. I'll summon you later," As the players suddenly vanished as in on cue to his command.
He said finally. "For now... what's this?"
As he spoke, his gaze drifted towards the plains outside the forest, where a group of people on horseback was headed towards some unknown destination. "Looks like they're headed somewhere," he said to himself. "Let's see where that is."
As the horse's hooves pounded against the earth, the bandits' laughter echoed through the plains. "Hahaha It'll be easy for us, since the village is so far away from the kingdom. The kingdom won't be bothered on wasting much resources for them anyway!" Said by a plump man as he smiles mischeviously
"Speaking of resources, I bet your fatass will eat all the loot before you can even share it, hahaha!" One of them snickered, and the others joined in, except for one who looked on with a scowl.
"Shut up!" he growled.
"Alright, alright, now boys. We'll have our fun once we reach the village." Said by their leader in front of them, he seemed like an old man in his 60's but has still has a decent build
The bandit beside the leader, a burly man with a cruel grin, rubbed his hands together. "I heard from intel that they've got some goodies waiting for us. Even the young girls are smoking hot!"
The other bandits snickered and catcalled, their eyes gleaming with mischief. One of them spotted something in the distance and shouted, "Oi, there it is! Look at that smoke!"
As they closed in on the village, Xeroc watched from a distance, unnoticed by the bandits. He took a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh, frustration etched on his face. "Bandits, huh? I should've known from the way they talked. Looks like I have to butt in again."
He clenched his fists, his resolve strengthening as he mentally prepared himself for what was to come. This wasn't a battle against monsters anymore; it was against people.
But could he truly kill someone without hesitation? The question weighed heavily on his mind as he let out a fierce cry. "Let's do this!"
With a burst of speed, Xeroc disappeared into thin air, as it then revealed the view of the village that can be seen now in chaos.
