Chapter 2: Blown away; A shocking debut

Chapter 2: Blown away; A shocking debut

As I stood on the verdant plain bewildered, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe. The scent of fresh earth and blooming flowers filled my lungs, a stark contrast to the stale air of my humble abode. The gentle rustle of leaves and the sweet melody of birdsong enveloped me, transporting me to a world beyond my wildest dreams.

"Don't tell me this is one of those world transmigration novels I kept reading about?" I said aloud, still trying to wrap my head around the situation.

The grass beneath my feet was like silk, caressing my skin as I took my first step. The sensation was so vivid, so real, that I felt as though I'd been here before. And yet, as I looked around, I knew this was a new world, full of secrets and wonders waiting to be uncovered.

As I gazed up at the sky, a sense of wonder washed over me. The clouds were a deep shade of cerulean, with wispy tendrils that seemed to dance across the horizon. The air was alive with the hum of energy, and I could feel it coursing through my veins like an electric current.

"How can I tell? I mean, I can feel everything with my five senses," I said, looking around at the lush landscape. "The things I hear aren't cars driving outside but the gusling of wind and chirping of birds. The smell doesn't smell like my stanky room but nature's goodness."

A brief silence has passed with a breeze of wind passing through me as I savor the moment of taking it all in. I then looked up and said

"So... what now?" I asked myself.

"Don't tell me I still have my godmode and administration privileges don't I?" I said with a nervous grin.

I then launched myself up the sky leaving behind trails of whirling wind as I flew upwards at jet speed eventually reaching the sky above the clouds. "I don't even need to chant or cast a spell on myself or wear an item, so it still here," I said, feeling exhilarated by the freedom and amazement.

"How about infinite mana?" I asked myself, feeling the power coursing through my veins.

I stand tall, my feet planted firmly on the wispy clouds above the earthly realm. The air is crisp and thin, and I can feel the weight of the world below me. My eyes glow with an intense, otherworldly light, casting an eerie glow on the surrounding clouds.

I raise my hands to the sky, and the energy coursing through my body begins to build. The clouds around me seem to respond, swirling and churning in a frenzy of motion. The air is electric with anticipation, and I can feel the power of the cosmos gathering around me.

I clasp my hands together, and the energy bursts forth, sending shockwaves rippling through the clouds. The ground below seems to tremble, as if the very foundations of reality are being shaken.

The air is filled with an intense, pulsing light as I call upon the forces of light and darkness. The clouds around me seem to darken, as if night itself is descending to join the battle.

I raise my hands once more, and a blazing orb begins to take shape above me. The orb grows larger and more intense, its surface a swirling vortex of light and darkness. The energy coursing through it is palpable, and I can feel the very fabric of reality bending to its will.

I speak the words of power with conviction:

"I call upon the forces of light and dark! Offer me your power, that I may tip the cosmic scales!"

As I finish speaking, the orb erupts in a blinding flash of light. The clouds around me seem to shudder and recoil, as if they are being repelled by some unseen force.

And then, with a voice that shakes the very foundations of existence, I proclaim:

"Ethereaus!"

The orb launched itself toward the sky until it became a blazing sun that blotted out the horizon. It shot upward with incredible speed, leaving a trail of fire and light in its wake, reaching a kilometer in mere seconds as it blew up the sky. The explosion resembled and looked like another sun from below shining radiantly as clouds got blown away showing traces of the impact that could be seen from across continents. The sound of its roar echoed across the land, shaking the earth and sending shockwaves through the air.

The sky itself seemed to ignite, as if the very fabric of reality was being rewritten.

As another one came after creating an even greater explosion that even shook the heavens. As rocks and debris below the ground trembled with trees slightly bent from the wave it created.

The clouds around me begin to dissipate, as if they are being drawn into some unknown vortex.

And as it finally quieted down, everyone across the continent saw it and are bewildered.

Unbeknownst to him, the sheer scale of his power left them breathless, their minds reeling with the implications of what they had just witnessed. And as he stood there, bathed in the radiance of his own magic, he knew that there is more to him than meets the eye. But if he goes anywhere above that, then it might damage the ecosystem, It just hit him that this experiment could harm the ozone or maybe more, so he stopped.

As he stand tall, his eyes glowing with an intense, otherworldly light, as the energy coursing through his body begins to dissipate. The clouds around him slowly clear, revealing the breathtaking spectacle of the orb's aftermath. The reaction of the onlookers is palpable, as they struggle to comprehend the magnitude of what they have just witnessed.

Across the continent, the collective gasp of wonder and awe is audible. Demi-human tribes, such as lizardmen, bow down in reverence, their scaly skin glistening in the fading light. Elves, with their slender fingers and pointed ears, raise their hands up in worship, as if offering prayers to the cosmos.

Humans, however, react with a mix of emotions. Some stare in awe, their eyes wide with wonder, while others cower in fear, their faces pale with terror. A few individuals seem frozen in confusion, unable to comprehend the sheer scale of the event. It would be an understatement to say that panic sets in – but for now, everyone is too stunned to move.

The display has caught the attention of great mages, who stand transfixed, their eyes shining with a mixture of fascination and trepidation. Dragons, perched atop mountains or soaring through the skies, pause in their majesty, their scales glinting in the fading light. Even leaders from every nation – kings, queens, and emperors – have paused in their duties to behold the spectacle.

From a castle balcony, a king stands trembling, his voice barely above a whisper as he exclaims: "What... what is that?" His eyes are wide with fear and wonder, his royal bearing momentarily forgotten in the face of this cosmic display.

In distant cities, merchants and traders halt their bustling activities, their faces tilted towards the sky. In rural villages, farmers and travelers pause in their daily routines, their eyes agog at the spectacle. The reaction is universal – a sense of collective wonder and awe that transcends borders and cultures.

The scene shifts to the barren lands, surrounded by darkness and withered trees. The air is thick with the scent of decay and death. Skeletons lie scattered on the ground, their bony fingers grasping for something, anything, to hold onto. Amidst this desolate landscape, a black castle comes into view as the fog clears.

At the center of the castle, a humanoid figure dressed in black robes sits upon a throne, its presence exuding an aura of malevolence. Two horns protrude from his forehead, casting a shadow over his face. This is the Lord of Darkness himself.

As the figure gazes out at the spectacle in the distance, his eyes narrow with interest. "Have the gods finally descended?" he asks, his voice dripping with fear and uncertainty.

A figure emerges from the shadows, its presence as dark as the Lord of Darkness himself. "It seems so," it says, its voice barely above a whisper.

The Lord of Darkness turns to the figure, his eyes burning with intensity. "Send Arcturus and inquire about what happened. Do not engage at any cost or under any circumstances you do anything that would provoke it."

"Yes, m'lord," the figure responds, its voice laced with obedience.

Just as the figure begins to descend from the shadows, the scene shifts to a battlefield amidst humans. The war has been paused, as both sides watch in awe and terror at the spectacle unfolding above. Some claim it might be the wrath of the gods, while others whisper among themselves in hushed tones.

One warrior, his armor dented and battered, turns to his companion and asks, "Is this... a sign?" The question hangs in the air like a challenge, as if seeking answers from the heavens themselves.

As the dust settles, an eerie silence falls over the battlefield. The sudden event has been known across continents as the "Impending Doom" or "God's Warning," but one thing is certain: it has been dubbed the Great Sign.

Nobody knows if a battle has taken place in that realm or if it is a doing of a god. But one thing is certain..

It isn't of this world.

The scene fades to black, leaving behind only the echoes of whispers and the distant rumble of thunder.

As the last remnants of the energy dissipate, the silence is palpable. The world seems to hold its breath, waiting for some sort of explanation or resolution. But for now, all that can be said is that he has unleashed something truly extraordinary – a display that will be etched into the collective memory of every living being in this continent for generations to come.

The scene shifts back to the plains, where the character who started the explosion is still hovering in the sky. The air is still charged with the energy of the display.

Xeroc, still gazing out at the horizon, speaks in a tone of awe and wonder. "So... That was... something..."

His eyes sparkle with excitement as he continues to analyze the events that have transpired. "So there's no cooldown, my mana was never exhausted when I casted that spell that literally consumes 75% of your mana... and the cast time is a lot shorter than I expected..."

His voice drips with satisfaction as they realize the implications of their newfound abilities. "So that confirms it. I still have my administration privileges and godmode, I'm practically invincible at this point. But since this is the real world, we'll never know what might happen."

His expression turns thoughtful, as his brow furrowed in contemplation. "For now... gathering information is important. I'm literally like a baby spawned out of nowhere in this world, so it's best to know which ones are friend or foe and know how this world works."

He glance around, taking in the unfamiliar landscape. "It'll either be a medieval fantasy world or some sort of sci-fi world. We'll see."

With a resolute nod, Xeroc decides to take precautions. "Now I'll just... erase my presence for good measure."

His eyes glow with a faint blue light as they chant a single word: "Ethereal Cloak."

As he speak, his body begins to fade away, his form dissolving into nothingness. The air seems to ripple and distort around him, as if reality itself is being manipulated.

In an instant, He has vanished from sight, leaving behind only the faintest whisper of his presence. The world around him seems to return to its normal state, as if the event never occurred. The distant sounds of people murming as they returned what to they've been doing and battles continue to echo through the air, but the being who caused all of this is gone, leaving behind only the mystery of his existence.
