Game... Over?
Prologue: Waiting for the end.

Prologue: Waiting for the end.

It's been what? Two years? If games wasn't on the rise and people had a little more attention span, this game could easily have gotten the first place at the top game charts. But no, instead, new and more 'realistic' ones were made and BEING made. Stupid. Even more so are the players who kept shouting that they're avid fans and players of 'Rise of the Gods'. If they're so into it, why can't they be here on it's last moments? Really stupid.

I know, I know what you want to say, I'm being idealistic. But I can't help it. This game was basically my life... Ever since the 'accident' that destroyed my previous life that is.

This game... No, this reality, gave me back my hope. I did things here that I could never have done in the real one. The world of Eldira that resides in the virtual reality of 'Rise of the Gods' have given me the freedom that I lost.

I had lots of exciting fun times with others, never joined a guild though, didn't like being using something to get more famous, I'd rather do it myself of my own accord.

In fact, I love this world so much that on the last week before termination. The moment where even the ones who still kept playing has already moved on... I didn't. I made a new Avatar and tried to get to the highest level possible which was level 100. Though, doing that would be very impossible to do within one week, much less alone. So what did I do? I started via New Game Plus... Well long story short... I put every item and equipment my main had and put it in the shared storage and took them with my second avatar.

It's ten more minutes before deactivation.

I wasn't able to reach the highest level, but at least I got to level 60 alone on my own... Within a week to boot!

Still, this world as a whole was the first of it's kind. A virtual reality game. Everything you see, looks like the real thing. The sounds you hear? You'd be amazed out how it sounds just the same as in the real world. The gameplay? Smooth! And not to mention how vast the system of it is.

As the title of the game is called, it's not an understatement to see lots of the said gods roaming around here and there. Some offer guidance, some may even take you under his or her wing as a follower, some will down right kill you for no reason. In fact, I've been killed by a few myself. Though there were some rumors that one can become a follower of that killer god... It's still a rumor and always will be though.

Speaking of the vast system, the character creation system is as good as any game as well. One player can choose between four different types of classes to choose from. There are...

Demons, those who has a higher ability depending on what race chosen, some even have unlimited flight capabilities causing the game to be quite unbalanced at most times. To balance these, they are riddled with the must to level up their 'Race'.

Beastmen, has little or no ability to use magic if at all, however they have the best stats in the game when it comes to anything physical, like strength and defense.

Monsters. Yes. You can choose your character to be a monster which is weird. But either way, same with the demons' they are stronger on certain aspects which would actually make player 'monsters' be quite deadly, and since they're animals, the forums often kept saying that 'monster' players are able to get away with PKing without having the added effect of the PK consequence. Like the demons, they too must level up their class race. Lastly,

Humanoids, such as humans, dwarves and elves, the basic one. Weakest of all the 4 choices but also the strongest. They don't have the innate need to level up theirselves and chooses to level up their jobs instead. There was as many as 8000+ jobs available, this doesn't include the hidden ones too. One can only be a maximum of level 100, one can choose a minimum of ten jobs to get up to 100. Or they can choose multiple ones! In fact, one can get as many as one hundred level one jobs just for fun!

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Though few rarely ever does it for two reasons, one is funding. One can get a job class for the low, low price of 1 gold coin. Since the game starts out with the player having 1 gold coin and 5 silver coins, that pretty much guarantees one can get a job class of their own choice and volition at the start... But getting the 100 gold to get 100 different classes would be impossible if they were just starting out. High level players didn't want to leave their current progress behind so they chose not to make a new avatar.

The second reason is being... What good would that help you with?! Well, either way, the maximum level for job is 10, and for a race class it's 15, not that it matters to me since I chose to be a humanoid one instead anyway. Human class to be more precise.

Though... I'm only speaking of the good side of the game... The bad side is... Innovation.

In this game, even though every thing seems real, the players can't feel things with their hands, they can see them, they can touch them, but they can't feel them. In fact, no sense of touch nor pain can be felt in this game... Though it would normally be a wise decision to not let players feel pain, it seems because of a wrong coding, the sense of touch went away with it... Without all the five senses, it seems they might as well remove those that can't normally be used in a game... Sense of taste.

Including the senses, it just seemed stupid to not feel cold but your avatar chattering it's teeth. Your hands all blistered and burnt by fire as you take damage but not feel it. It makes this reality seem real and unreal.

Games after this learned from this game's mistakes and improved on it... Now it's impossible to say that this game is still sitting on number one... It would even be miraculous to reach the top ten.

Five minutes left.

I guess this is it.

Three minutes left.

I hugged myself closer to the tree as if out of the sheer frustration being I was all alone.

Even on the last week of this game, I ultimately chose to be a summoner and a tamer, since no more players other than me existed, this was the best course of action.

One minute remaining.

It's here. I lie down beneath the tree's shade, wishing that all this was just a dream, that  when I open my eyes, everything would still be here.

Thirty seconds remaining.

"Hmm, hmmm, hmm, hmmm."

I still remember the sound when creating a new avatar, the literal music that tells your start of the world, it's fitting to wait for the end while hearing the music that started it all.

Five.

Four.

Three.

[We thank you all for your undivided support.]

Two.

[May you find another dream.]

One.

[And keep this as an indispensable memory. Good Bye.]

"Goodbye, my reality."

Zero.

...

"Huh?" I quickly stood up. Something definitely feels wrong. In fact, that statement itself is what I meant.

I can feel the wind blowing through my hair, the heat of the sun.

"What... The..?"

This is when I learned that... My game was over... And my life, has just begun.
